A most welcome respite after enduring the high winds and frost upheaval on the road up from Haines Junction. Once known as White River Lodge, the original building, now the office, was part of the Alaskan Highway construction. Wide, level gravel pull-though sites look out on a grass airstrip and nearby mountains, as do some of the back-ins. 30 amp, water and sewer at our site. WiFi available in the office for checking email and other low usage. Electric provided by 2 generators, well water. The airstrip is popular for exercising dogs (clean up after, please). It's quiet, even with the generator in the background, and the air is deliciously pure. Displays of the Alcan Highway's military construction vehicles are sited throughout the park. The office has a display of local wildlife, including a grizzly that was shot inside the office. Weather permitting, a nightly communal firepit gives one the opportunity to meet other campers and share road tales. We would happily stay at this immaculate campground again. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Many opportunities for walks in the woods and down to the White River, but go in groups and/or take office-provided horns and whistles. If you have bear spray, take that, too.

This is a relatively secluded RV park (and cabins) adjacent to a grass landing strip, not near any towns. Grass and gravel sites - ours was exactly level side-to-side. All facility power is provided by a generator. No cable TV, no OTA TV, no cell service; wifi was supposedly working only at office but we found it unusable. Staff were very friendly and we actually enjoyed overnighting here. Lack of communication options might be a plus or a minus for you... The landing strip makes a pleasant morning walk and for playing chuck-it with the dog. We were here in late May and the owner was still getting water and sewer lines unfrozen. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

Had a gravel, pull through site that took a one inch board to level side to side. There were trees on both side of my site. The grounds are very pretty with lots of grass. The view of the mountains in Kulane National Park was fantastic. There was no cable or over the air TV. AT&T did not have service. The WI-FI did not work in our spot. If you don't need electronics, this is a great park to relax. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

This is a most lovely campground but sites are narrow. The grounds are very well maintained and there are old and antiques items around the property - ringer washing machines, army vehicles, etc. There is no cell service but there is a pay phone at the office, where there is slow WiFi. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

Stayed one night. Beautiful view of mountains. Very large field made the area feel bigger. Easy for us get into with our 40' + pull behind truck. Interesting office full of taxidermy animals. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

There's a huge grass runway where you can run your dog. They have a WiFi hotspot but it's terribly slow - almost useless except for email, and that's also very very slow. Electricity provided by generator. Beautiful campground. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park with a nice mountain view and a lot of grassy areas, including a grass airfield. In the middle of nowhere, the camp runs everything (including water) on 2 generators that run continually. A smaller one for only a few campers (fairly quiet) and a big one for larger crowds (not so quiet). To save fuel she turned OFF the big generator for 3 1/2 hours one day, so check if she'll be doing that while you're there. Our 30 amp service worked fine even in the unseasonably hot weather. We had full hook-ups including sewer and our Dish satellite worked fine shooting between the mountains. The wifi hot spot is in lodge and we never used it since it wasn't very convenient. Gravel roads and sites are well maintained. There are only a couple of sites with fire rings, but the community campfire was very nice. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Fifth Wheel.

You know how it is when you're touring long without a care in the world except it's getting time to spy out a camp site for the night. Well right about that time I spotted a black bear looking to cross the road up ahead in front of me and when he spotted me he ducked back into the bush. Of course I slowed down thinking maybe I could roll up on him nice and slow and get a photo. Well, he was gone but I came upon Discovery Yukon Lodgings in the middle of nowhere at the base of a big mountain with lots of trees and green space. I figured if it was good enough for the bear, it'd be good enough for me. It was. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Truck Camper.

Everyone has already explained How nice this place is. What you have to know it is 55 kms South from Beaver Creek in the middle of No where. The Hydro is from a generator which runs all the time. Other than that it has excellent artifacts to look at. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

I have been to many rv parks all over Canada & the US. This I would rate as nice or nicer than any other I've been too. The Owner and her staff are very nice & willing to help with any problems you may encounter. The grounds are very well manicured & there are antiques every where. The only downfall I had here was that the internet was very slow & only available in the lodge area. I know this is something they are working on but due to their remote location it is difficult.

I stayed here twice this summer for 3 weeks each time & enjoyed every moment in this park. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

This is a very nice park along the Alaska highway. It is in a beautiful setting . The staff was friendly and helpful. The sites are level and have some trees twix them. Wi-fi is only available at the office, but they have places to sit and do your internet. There are many old army vehicles on the property to view. After registering a park employee will lead you to your site. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

Overall, pretty good place, especially in the middle of almost nowhere on the Alaska Highway. We stopped here from Whitehorse on our way to AK. The sites were mostly level and easy to access. We had a FHU with no issues connecting anything. The sites are a little close, but it is what it is and we were here for just one night. They have a grass field that looks like it doubles as a landing strip which was nice to walk the dog around off leash. It rained mostly while we were there, so we didn't do much outside of the trailer. The wifi is only in the main office area and wasn't good, there were two others on it, we could connect, but couldn't really load pages. Oh well. We camped at Discovery Yukon Lodgings in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We stopped here from Whitehorse heading to AK, it was 246 miles. In retrospect, I would have made it a long day and pushed on to Tok, which would have made it a ~400 mile day. Lots of road construction and lots of "active driving" where you take over both lanes of the road to maneuver around pot holes and frost heaves.
