This park is right as you come into Whitehorse on the Alcan, and is very convenient. The sites however are very tight We had a back in for our 28' tt, and it just fit in. The interior roads were mostly mud and potholes. It was packed though, so very popular. The people were nice. We did not stay here on our way back through. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Nice park. However site was dirty: trash in trees and around site.. No one looking at condition of site before next person rents space. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Whitehorse is Great city to visit. Fish ladder, Klondile steamer, hot springs to name a few items.

Great park just outside Whitehorse. Excellent staff. Washroom exceptionally clean.

Sites are set in the pines so there is always shade. This was great as one day the temp hit 30C. We would definitely stay here again! We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to do in Whitehorse - we were here a week.

Due to great staff I was able to get a full hookup without a reservation. Make sure you make reservations for this place in the summer. We had a fairly spacious gravel back-in site (#119). Only concern was it sloped down at the back so required some leveling. All utilities worked fine. Cable TV had around 25 channels and most were not very clear. Wi-Fi was free for first 30 minutes and cost $3.95 for the next hour or $7.95 for 24 hours. It worked fine for e-mail or browsing. Closest RV park to Whitehorse. We would probably stay here again for that reason alone. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is very tight for big rigs. I'd say any rig over 40 is going to have at least somewhat of a challenge getting in and out, as we did. I saw others in large RV's barely squeezing in - but we did fit - just not comfortably. When we left, we found it very difficult to get out of our site without brushing the limbs on nearby trees. No damage to the coach, but unpleasant nonetheless. All in all, though, the park is a fine place to stay. Roads are gravel and have lots of potholes. Staff was friendly. Very nice store. RV wash. Convenient to stores and activities in Whitehorse. Maybe one mile from New North diesel repair, which is a great facility if needed. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a very well equipped RV Site. The sites are average size for pull throughs with all the services. The location is good, close to downtown.

A very pleasant park. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

High Country RV Park pull thru sites are very short and narrow. In our case, we had only 1 table for 2 sites. The hook-ups were not located properly to accommodate the rig requiring extensions for all services. The park is convenient to downtown. The WIFI is free for the 1st 30 minutes, then $8/day. The campground store is very nice. The campsite areas were overgrown, weedy, and poorly maintained. The RV/car wash that is advertised with this campground costs $1/minute for pressure washing. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Our first time in a RV, we spent our first night at Hi Country after picking up our rental. Staff were helpful and friendly. The campground was well maintained with gravel roadways and sites. We had a back-in site along the western boundary of the property which backed onto a wooded area, which we loved. A few trees between the sites was nice, as we didn't feel we were uncomfortably close to our neighbours. The site had a fire pit and picnic table, and the site size was more than adequate for our truck camper. We could however, see that some of the larger rigs with slide outs were a lot tighter fit. We didn't use the wifi or the cable so can't comment on that.

We liked Hi Country so much we stayed here again before returning the rental.

The only downside was that being our first ever RV park, we subsequently set our expectations of other RV parks quite high - and we were disappointed in many others that didn't even come close to Hi Country! Yukon and Alaska - where you don't always get what you pay for! We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Truck Camper.

For an RV park this place is nice. It has trees throughout the park so you still feel like you are camping. The Laundry and Shower facilities are clean. Laundry is $3 per wash and dryer is 16 min for $1. RV wash is nice and only $2 for 6 min. On our trip we stayed here 3 separate times for 1 night and always enjoyed it. First time RVers. Stayed one night. Site was fine: pull thru, level, gravel. Staff was friendly and efficient. Our site was shaded and only had one space beside it. For May the park was quite full. It's convenient, but nothing special. We would stay here again. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

All in all not a bad place. 30 amp service works good but it was nice and did not need AC. Did not have any problems with sewer or water hook up. Pretty level gravel sites. You are close together. Trees to keep you cooler. The roads are full of pot holes as is much of Canada. WiFi sucks. As others stated you only get 30 min free and it is not very fast. Stayed 2 nights to see the area. I would stay again. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

The entrance to Hi Country and its lobby provide a positive impression but the rest of this location is average at best. Pull-through sites are the only ones available with 30-amp power and they are only minimal for a big rig. Our 43 ft. class-A encroached on the roadway front and back of our site and there was no space available to safely park our toad without impeding other traffic coming through.

The pull-through sites use a single set of services for adjacent parking pads. Typically this means that adjacent rigs park facing opposite directions (driver-side to driver-side) to avail easy access to the services. Here they direct each RV to park in the same direction resulting in the services being on the wrong side for every second RV. Fortunately our services were on the correct side but the 5'er that pulled in beside us did not have enough sewer hose to reach all the way across.

The Wi-Fi system here is the most draconian I have seen at any RV park. Only 30-minutes per day is free, and additional time must be purchased at $3.95/hr or $7.95/day. This allows for only a single device connection and a long list of Internet activities are prohibited, such as streaming, downloading apps or updates, file transfers, shared connections, files sharing sites such as iCloud or Dropbox, plus they censor which website they allow access to. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

This is a nice park and would've gotten a "10" if it weren't for the fact that we got blamed for causing a 4 site circuit to fail. It was warm when we pulled in on a Saturday and we ran our air conditioner. After a while, the power failed. They blamed us and we were told we could stay at the park but we couldn't plug back into the electric. We had to basically dry camp for 2 nights until Monday when we took our motorhome into the repair shop and after extensive testing, were told that there was nothing wrong with our unit and that others have come in from this park thinking something was wrong with their electricity when in fact, it is the park. You can't have 30amp service on 4 sites with others running air conditioners and not have something happen. The park is nice with decent space between units and is close to town, so it's convenient. Just beware if it's warm, you might get blamed for a power outage! We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

WiFi free is available for only 30 minutes per 24 hour period. If you're looking forward to using a service such as netflix this will not work. Also, if you are wanting to post pictures/videos of your travels this is also not possible. Paying extra for wifi access still will not permit streaming, including updates to cell phones etc. Cable tv offers no movie Channels mostly news and weather. Altogether a nice park though. We stayed a week. We tried to use the bus service but that was really confusing. No benches at the bus stops, no shelters and trying to get back to the park, we were left high and dry by the bus about 2 miles short of the park. And told we could walk from there! We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Motorhome.

Slots are a bit narrow, but park is well maintained and close to city. Wi-Fi is an extra charge $6 per day. Also, there is a repair shop nearby (Fireweed RV Services) that has a large selection of parts and does terrific repairs. Coming off Alaska highway you can wash your rig in the park and get repairs done nearby. We camped at Hi Country RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
