This is a gravel parking lot with hook-ups. Easy in, easy out. Having said that I thought for a stop on the Alcan & access to Whitehorse, it was fine. Utilities work well, bathrooms were very clean, the camp store has a very good selection of things a camper might need, including some sewer parts, etc. They also sell propane & gas/diesel at a reasonable price. We would stay againThe people are very nice & I'm glad we stayed here. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

several good places to eat in Whitehorse, like Giorgio's Cuccina & Burnt Toast. Also Yukon Brewing is here !

We have stayed here twice, once heading north and a month and a half later, heading south. Both times we found the staff pleasant and helpful. The sites are a little tight, but easy enough to get in and out of. A great feature of this park is that they provide discounted fuel on site, have a very good wash facility and on-site repair/maintenance facilities.

There are no trees or grass on the sites. The park is right on the highway, but we did not notice any highway noise and it was nice to have easy access to Whitehorse. We would stay stay here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Sites are pull-through level dirt and easy to get to. We had a little trouble with low voltage that tripped our surge protector a couple of times. We have not had this issue before or since. They limit the Wi-Fi usage to 300 MB per day (can purchase more) but we found that was plenty for checking email and catching up on Facebook. The host were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Whitehorse transportation museum was interesting, checkout the weather vane.

First thing you need to know about this park is the two sections it has. Lower level right on the highway is a gravel parking lot style full hookup area, upper level is about 200 meters back and up in the woods, where the sites are W/E but you can stay there as a dry camper too.
We stayed two nights in the upper level, first one dry for 19.85$ (after AAA discount). They have a switchboard in the office to turn off power on your site if you choose to stay dry. Site was level but tight and rather on the short side. We had to move the picnic table and distance from the camper to the fire ring was less than two meters. Privacy was good as there are shrubs and trees around also providing a mostly shaded site. Noise from the highway is still noticeable up here but not to bothersome. The real bummer is no access to the showers or WiFi if you only pay for a dry site. So the second night we opted for W/E hookup in the same upper level site for 29.30 (after AAA discount) only to find out the WiFi is total crap and pretty much useless.
A dump station, RV wash and laundry is available. Campers are offered a few cents discount at the fuel pump inside the park.
We will consider to stay again, preferring a dry site on the upper level. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Truck Camper.

We do not know the rate as we were part of a prepaid caravan. To be fair to this park there are two sections - the caravan section and the nice wooded section on a hillside. This review is about the caravan section. The caravan section is a very large dirt parking lot. Access is through the fuel pumps which can create a backup. The utilities all seemed to function properly (30amp service) with 300 mb of wifi per day which was not usable when the park was full. The restrooms were very clean.

The sites are EXTREMELY TIGHT and perpendicular to the road. This makes even the pullthrus very difficult to maneuver. This also created a backup as three caravans were attempting to enter at the same time. Our slides were within inches of the next unit. There was not room to walk between rigs. These were very very tight. We had a backin site that was not long enough to park our tow vehicle. We had to park a couple hundred yards away in the tent section.

We also stayed here a second time as part of the caravan. This stay we were the only caravan in the park but we were still bunched together even though we there was only 20 of us in an area for 60. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

Tips for other Campers:

There are numerous tourist traps in and around Whitehorse - they are all worth a visit. Restaurants are OK but we found nothing exceptional. The highlight of Whitehorse for us was the tour of the Yukon Brewery. Bring a growler or buy one of theirs - the beer is delicious.

This park has 2 sections; the lower level has full hookups, but is basically a gravel parking lot. We chose the upper level; up a fairly steep gravel road that leads to nice, roomy sites in the woods. These sites have water & electric (dump available), trees between sites, private, shady and quiet. Several are fairly level and large enough for big rigs. Wi-Fi works in some, ask at office. We would stay again in the upper level area. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.

We stayed two nights at this park and it was a good place to stop. Sites are very close but hookups are good. They have a good RV/car wash area plus a place you can change your oil if you like. They give you 300MB of wifi per day or 1GB if you stay three nights. Wifi worked fine. You also get a $.03 per litre discount on fuel which is right on site. Convenient to Whitehorse where there is a fair amount of things to see and do. We will stop here on our way back south next month. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to see including the McBride Museum, Old Log church, Klondike Steamwheeler, Beringia center, and Transportation Museum

Easy check in, nice friendly staff. large laundry room. Gravel and close together. Packed so full that those who were using the dump station blocked the roads out of the park in the morning. Very crowded. Good for one night one time. Would stay elsewhere. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Tips for other Campers:

Lots to see in Whitehorse, we visited the Yukon Brewery. Overall the best tasting selection of beer during our 5 month trip.

I really didn't like this RV Park. We were placed in the upper loop and the site was occupied by a spare vehicle from a grumpy looking group. The store clerk gave us a different spot. She wasn't unfriendly, but not friendly either. Our site was muddy and the pit toilet was scary. Road and airplane noise were unpleasant. WiFi was only for checking email. I wish we had stayed someplace else. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Travel Trailer.

Tips for other Campers:

We hung out at Boston Pizza and enjoyed their Wifi until late at night so we didn't have to go to the RV park.

Typical gravel parking lot but room to move around. Level. Good Sam Discount. Cable TV. Free Wi-Fi but didn't work for us. Good for overnight or maybe 2 if you want to check out Whitehorse. We have stayed before and would stay again. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

A Good Sam Park, it is has been around for awhile. It is large with flat spots and big rig friendly. Not shaded. It has full hook-ups with 30 amp power that works. There is a store, wash rack, mechanic, fuel pumps (gas and diesel), laundry, showers and washrooms. The staff is friendly. We stayed 3 nights as part of a caravan. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice park with fuel pumps that they give you a discount on. Propane also available. Some sites are on a gravel parking lot type area but we stayed up on the treed area up a hill at the back of the park. We would stay here again. Staff was helpful. Price reflects a Good Sam discount. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Nice owners/operators, helpful with local knowledge. Easy in/out pull-through sites. WiFi worked well limited to 300 mb per day per RV. Coin operated RV/car wash worked well. Convenient to Whitehorse and surrounding area. Diesel fuel price was as good or better than anyone else in the area. They offer .03 discount per gallon of gas or diesel. If you're headed north on the Alaska Hwy you'd do well to fill up here. We'd definitely return passing through this area. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

Power was very sporadic. Got below 104 volts on two occasions and over 138 on another. Good thing I had a surge protector. Sites are very crowded and narrow. Wi-Fi was free, but limited to 300 MB per day. 3-cent discount on all fuel at their pumps. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Motorhome.

This park is okay as a pass through. Definitely not a destination. Rigs crowded in side by side. Hardly enough room to turn around. Nothing more than a parking lot with hook ups. Laundry suitable - 2.50 a wash, 2.00 to get dry enough. If we ever came back to this area, would look for another park. We camped at Pioneer RV Park in a Fifth Wheel.
