This is really a second thought by the motel owners. They put down some class 5 and dug the hookups to call it a campground. The pro is that you can get a reservation. We camped on a busy August weekend and only 4 sites were full, 51 were empty. One major drawback is there is no showers or bathrooms anywhere. We arrived late at night and we needed a restroom. The owners would not allow us to use a bathroom anywhere. We had to wait to setup camp. Would not even let us use an empty hotel room. If you don't have your own bathroom don't bother. If you don't need the hookups there were more campers overnight at the Wal-Mart 3 blocks away. The Wal-Mart has a restroom you can use also.
Perfect site to camp with nature. The sites are well spaced and shaded. The shower/restroom is new and spotless. The park has many walking/biking trails and a nice center to learn with the rangers. The deer and other animals are abundant and easy to view. We try to visit this park a few times each year and are never disappointed.
This is an older park that has not adjusted sites for the larger rigs yet. Our site was filled from front to back with our 36' 5th wheel without the truck. It is another park that has seasonals located on the best sites and the weekenders are tightly tucked in the remainder. I think it is good for a short weekend but with its location right on the highway there is no activities outside of the campground (biking, trails). The hosts were very nice and made sure we found our spot when we arrived late.
Jellystone Warrens is a nice park if you have lots of ear plugs. The site was nice. The pools, restrooms, mini-golf, and other entertainment was very good. The issues we had have been noted on other posts. Crazy golf carts full of teens and younger drivers. Dogs left out barking all night (we brought our two labs and they were brought in the RV when we went away or at night). There seems to be a complete lack of security in the campground and the rules (most of them) are not enforced. We will not visit again any time soon.
