Beautiful well kept campground on the ocean. I camped here the week of the 4 of July. Sites were large and clean. I really like this campground except for one thing. They close the pool at 4 pm. This is high season for Maine, and they close there pool at 4 pm. That is the only thing that I have to complain about. Who closes their pool in the summer at a resort at 4 pm even if it is he 4 of July?
A very nice clean state park, close to the little town of Camden, you can walk to town and walk to the top of Mount. Battie, Lots of trails to walk on, poor TV reception. I loved this this state park. I will go back.
This was one of the worst parks I ever stayed at. The site they gave us was so small we couldn't even open our awning. It smelled like sewage in the area. The staff was friendly. When I got home I complained to KOA and to KOA Bar Harbor and KOA corporation agreed that the site we had was a poor site and refunded us our money back for the week we stayed there.
This is a very nice clean and quiet campground near Arcadia National Park, the sites are clean. The campground is well kept. The play ground could use a little work. They only accept cash and don't take reservations, you go in and pick a site and then pay for it. We camped there at least 10 times through the summer and fall of 2007, and we always found a nice spot. Free buses to just about anywhere in Bar Harbor and Arcadia.
