The price for this county park is too high. There are no services, the bathrooms are padlocked, although porta-potties are available. Roads are rough and dusty. Sure, it's on a small lake, so a rate of $15 would be more reasonable. Alright for one night if you have your rig loaded with water, propane and good batteries.
We only found this RV park because of this review site. The facilities are fairly new and they aren't advertising yet. The bathroom building with large social room is nearly completed. This is on the edge of the fairgrounds, and sites are quite close together, but all we needed was a safe and quiet place to park. There are no tables or other amenities. Close to town (and Starbucks with free Wi-fi) is within 2 blocks. Great place to call home while exploring the endless opportunities in the area. Office staff is very friendly. Pay by cash or check. Call the office first for availability.
We intended to just spend one night but stayed two because Paradise Shores has so much to offer. The views from our waterfront site of the Sawtooth Mountains were stunning. Asphalt roads, level gravel sites (some pull through sites), a laundry room (clothesline and clothespins available), very clean and thoughtfully stocked restrooms/showers, a small store, free Wi-fi, and a friendly dog make for a comfortable park. We don't fish, but learned this is a popular place for lake fishing as well as fly fishing. True small town ambiance: longer term residents offered advice on local hot springs, old mining towns and good eateries. Hosts/owners are delightful, warm and welcoming. When on Hwy 395, we will stay here again.
