This is the 2nd time we've stopped here. Now that we have, we look forward to it. Good location for a quick stop when traveling and you can't beat the price. The owners/managers are extremely friendly and helpful. The park is very clean and has beautiful water views. There is plenty of Big Box Store shopping less than a mile away should you have the need. We are making plans for traveling through that area again this November and look forward to stopping at Camp Lakewood.
This is the 2nd time we've stayed at this Campground. While this is not a 5 star campground...you don't pay for a 5 star campground. The host, Mary, and her husband are very friendly and extremely helpful people. When we arrived on March 11th it was raining hard and we had problems with our electric hookup. Mary and her husband came right out in the pouring rain to help. They stayed to make sure we solved the problem before heading back inside their home/office. We'll be sure to stay here again when traveling through these parts of the Country again.
This park offered a great "snowbird" escape. The price was more than fair and it is a clean and conveniently located place for us to have spent the winter. The RVers who spend the winter tend to be very friendly and neighborly as do the hosts. The small, private beach is a tremendous bonus. If you have a military ID you're in luck as there are a number of bases near by that offer convenient shopping. If we go back to Northern Florida Emerald Beach will be our home.
