Best feature is closeness to casinos etc in town and on trolley route ($1). Interior roads paved. Sites are paved or gravel with working utilities. Sat reception from the roof was good. Verizon reception good. Kept getting kicked off WiFi. Owner is very helpful. Grocery store in lead (approx 4 mi). Pretty location in small narrow gulch. Room to walk dog including dirt road at upper end of park. Garbage pick up each morning at site. Dump station. We had no problem with 39' RV with tow. Room for slides on both sides but narrow.
Rate is Passport America good for 2 nights. Easy access from I-40. Check in at motel; sites are behind motel. Gravel interior roads and pull thru sites are easy to level. Picnic table, some small trees but room to slides on both sides and satellite reception from roof was good. Utilities are located OK and working. Great location for touring Old Mesilla.
Rate with Good Sam discount. Very nice pull thrus available with full hook ups well placed and in good condition. Interior roads are gravel in good shape. "Newer" sites are gravel and level with picnic tables. Easy access for large rigs. Wi-fi at site. Verizon reception is excellent for both MiFi and phone. Easy access from main road to Taos. Very close to downtown Taos square. Room for slide outs. Sat reception from roof is no problem as sites are open.
RPI rate. They have done alot of improvements in last 2 yrs. New laundry machines, club house, painted buidlings. Improved over prior years. Great location for access to Albuquerque yet up in the mountains.
As stated by others, most sites are too narrow for slideouts on both sides. We were lucky to get an end site which was fine. No reservations, so take your chances with a big rig. Closest place to Carlsbad Caverns which is only 7 miles up the road.
This park is in a excellent location for visiting New York City, Ellis Island & Statue of Liberty. You can see the Statue from the lot. It is only 15 minutes to NYC via subway or ferry, one which leaves from the dock beside the park. This is an asphalt parking lot and spots are tight with no sewer but they have a dump station. Still great for where you are. Area around is either redeveloped or being redeveloped. The employees and the 24 hour security, are very helpful.
This park is an overrated "trailer park" with many "live ins" beyond winter. Stray cats running around everywhere, kids running around in streets and through sites. Sewer hookup was at least 8" off the ground making walking the hose necessary to drain. Getting into the site was tight in a 39' RV - had to have one person move their truck from in front of their trailer (permanent). Very disappointed in the park and the area was not very good either.
Very nice sites, large, level, grass and pull thru. Owners are very nice. Park was clean and overnight sites were separated from apparently live in clients whose rigs and sites were well maintained. Very comfortable and great for visiting Savanah, GA
