Price is right. We only stayed one night while waiting to check in to next location. Some sites had picnic tables. We were parked around outside and were able to pull in 39' with tow hooked and room for slide outs even though parallel to road. Verizon reception good and satellite on roof worked. Can walk to casino which had a good deli but don't bother with the buffet. Interior roads are gravel. They have an easy to access dump and water fill station in huge parking lot on way in or out. 30 amp electric worked fine.
Rate includes annual state parks pass for RV and tow vehicle for 4 days. Very nice location in woods and on river. We stayed in Rivermouth - modern (electric) area. Kayaking available on the river. The only reason this is a 5 is because it does not have water hookup or sewer although there is a fill and dump station on way in/out. We had 50 amp electric, which was good and a large site plenty of room for RV and slide outs. Satellite on roof did not come in. Verizon reception was good for phone and Wi-Fi. Picnic table and huge (deep) fire pit. Good interior paved roads a little narrow but no problem with 39' RV and towed. Restrooms were new and in good shape with private shower rooms. This is a remote area with only 3 small convenience stores with limited essentials so come prepared.
Park is acutally in Wetmore 3 mi E of town. Access is good, interior roads are gravel with some dust. We had a full hookup pull-through out in field in front of office with room for slide outs. It would have been tight back in the trees where most of the sites were. Wi-Fi was good, Verizon access was good. Utilities worked fine once we had them rotate the 50 amp service plug as it was in upside down, i.e. round hole was on top. Water pressure was low. Satellite came in from roof but we were in site #1 so other sites may not have worked. Picnic table and fire pit.
Beautiful location. 10 full hook up sites which worked fine. Grass site was easy to level. Shared utilities; ours were on the correct side with back-in site so satellite from roof was good. If you had to drive in there would be no satellite due to trees. 40' no problem. Picnic table and fire rings. Only cell phone reception is by driving up a hill outside of town. Can walk to boat to Isle Royale. Staff very helpful. Only a general store in town so be prepared.
Easy access. Paved interior roads and cement level pads. Utilities worked fine. We were in pull-through which would have been tight due to shared utilities but they appear to leave open spaces. Casino on grounds with shuttle. RV wash on site. Gas/diesel on site.
Rate is Passport America and good for 18 days. Easy access off I-90, Good interior gravel roads, level sites, gravel and grass. Utilities worked. Satellite came in from roof but could be a challenge in some sites, depending on tree location. pull-through sites have plenty of room for 40' with slides and tow vehicle. Picnic table. Good Verizon service. Laundry facilities. Office help is very friendly. Great location for restaurants, corn palace and shopping. Room to walk dog. Easy gas/diesel access on same road. Have stayed here many times and will again.
Good interior roads paved. Paved level sites with table. Easy access. All utilities worked. Laundry facilities are good. Rate is RPI member rate. This is a great location with lots of activities and restaurant on site. Lots of areas to walk dog but 1/2 of park is no pets. Verizon worked here as did satellite from rooftop. Plenty of room for slides outs. Only complaint is that they do not enforce their pet must be on leash policy so we had a cat visit on the steps of our motorhome. I complained but the person still let the cat and dog loose--appears to be a live-in.
Best feature is closeness to casinos etc in town and on trolley route ($1). Interior roads paved. Sites are paved or gravel with working utilities. Sat reception from the roof was good. Verizon reception good. Kept getting kicked off WiFi. Owner is very helpful. Grocery store in lead (approx 4 mi). Pretty location in small narrow gulch. Room to walk dog including dirt road at upper end of park. Garbage pick up each morning at site. Dump station. We had no problem with 39' RV with tow. Room for slides on both sides but narrow.
Rate is Passport America good for 2 nights. Easy access from I-40. Check in at motel; sites are behind motel. Gravel interior roads and pull thru sites are easy to level. Picnic table, some small trees but room to slides on both sides and satellite reception from roof was good. Utilities are located OK and working. Great location for touring Old Mesilla.
Rate with Good Sam discount. Very nice pull thrus available with full hook ups well placed and in good condition. Interior roads are gravel in good shape. "Newer" sites are gravel and level with picnic tables. Easy access for large rigs. Wi-fi at site. Verizon reception is excellent for both MiFi and phone. Easy access from main road to Taos. Very close to downtown Taos square. Room for slide outs. Sat reception from roof is no problem as sites are open.
RPI rate. They have done alot of improvements in last 2 yrs. New laundry machines, club house, painted buidlings. Improved over prior years. Great location for access to Albuquerque yet up in the mountains.
As stated by others, most sites are too narrow for slideouts on both sides. We were lucky to get an end site which was fine. No reservations, so take your chances with a big rig. Closest place to Carlsbad Caverns which is only 7 miles up the road.
This park is in a excellent location for visiting New York City, Ellis Island & Statue of Liberty. You can see the Statue from the lot. It is only 15 minutes to NYC via subway or ferry, one which leaves from the dock beside the park. This is an asphalt parking lot and spots are tight with no sewer but they have a dump station. Still great for where you are. Area around is either redeveloped or being redeveloped. The employees and the 24 hour security, are very helpful.
This park is an overrated "trailer park" with many "live ins" beyond winter. Stray cats running around everywhere, kids running around in streets and through sites. Sewer hookup was at least 8" off the ground making walking the hose necessary to drain. Getting into the site was tight in a 39' RV - had to have one person move their truck from in front of their trailer (permanent). Very disappointed in the park and the area was not very good either.
Very nice sites, large, level, grass and pull thru. Owners are very nice. Park was clean and overnight sites were separated from apparently live in clients whose rigs and sites were well maintained. Very comfortable and great for visiting Savanah, GA
