We stayed at Riveredge this past spring. This is an attractive campground. It is very convenient for all the activities of Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and Sevierville. The sites are somewhat close together at Riveredge. We had a site beside the river which was a nice place to be. The outstanding feature of River Edge was the bathrooms. They were on a different level from any we have ever found at a campground. They were spotless. The tile floors and wooden doors on the private shower stalls are more what you would expect at the Ritz Carlton than a campground. We will be back to River Edge any time we are in the Sevier County area.
We did an internet search to find a campground close to East TN State University where our daughter will attend. We found a new campground, Lakeview RV Park. This campground was a delightful surprise. It has every amenity - fishing, pontoon boat rental, great WiFi, cable TV, a playground for the younger kids, a pet playground for the dogs, a store and a laundry. We had trouble with our cable TV and the owner d fixed it. The staff at Lakeview is friendly and very helpful. Lakeview is a Passport America park, which made the site fees very reasonable. We would highly recommend this campground to anyone visiting the Tri-Cities area. We will be back many times.
This is a new campground. We enjoyed the benefits of Misty River being a couple of years old - full hook up with 50 amp service at all sites, spacious pull thrus for big rigs, Wi-Fi that works, cable TV, individual bathrooms that are clean, a new pool with a hot tub. The setting is quiet and relaxed on the Little River in Walland, TN. It was nice to be on the "quiet side of the Smokies." We plan to revisit Misty River next year.
We stayed at Merced River five years ago, and again in May for a family reunion. This is an older park that needs to be brought up to date, but the new managers have taken great strides toward that already. The setting along the Merced River is scenic and relaxing. The addition of Wi-Fi is a plus. The new managers have brought a new commitment to campers having a positive experience to Merced River. We look forward to camping there again, and expect additional improvements will continue to be made.
