This is a very nice well maintained campground. All the roads and sites are concrete with some 90 foot pull thrus as well as back in sites and regular pull thrus. During the summer there is a pool and hot tub available. The bathrooms were spotless as well. The sites were perfectly level. The entrance and exit roads are narrow and steep but no problem to get in or out. They have propane available which we did need. Water pressure was good, and the cable TV was pretty good, as well. Very friendly management. If you arrive late you check yourself in, but the directions are very clear. I will stay in this park again.
I don't know about the other reviewers but the traffic noise from I-20 was extremely loud and the trucks coming and going to the truck stop across the interstate hitting the rumble strips didn't help any. You can get TV at one site in the park, but it is an additional three dollars a night. No satellite hookups were offered. The Wi-Fi in the park was totally unreliable, it dropped the signal every five minutes or so and was very slow when it was connected. The sites are level and do have concrete pads. The owners of this park are very friendly and helpful, that is the reason I gave it a 5 rating. I don't know if we would stay here again. It would be a good overnight stop if it wasn't right on the interstate.
This park could be a really nice park with a little work, but in it's current condition I could only rate it a 5. The staff are very friendly and helpful; however, the park needs some improvement. The roads into the park are dirt and full of potholes. They also are very narrow and cross the lake making entry very nerve racking. The pull through sites are just dirt areas in a parking lot with no grass and no shade at all. If it was raining it would have been a muddy mess. It seemed to me that the Passport America visitors were parked in those sites because after I arrived a full price customer arrived and was put into a pull through space that was a lot nicer. I guess that is what you get for half price. Like I said, with some work and a lot of gravel, this could be a nice park. I will not stop here again. The rate shown is the Passport America rate.
The rate cited reflects a Passport America discount. This was once a nice resort park but has fallen into disrepair. The Wi-Fi does not work, the vending machines mostly were out of order, the mini golf are was dirty and parts rotted and the water features were green and stinky. The pools were dirty and the store was unorganized and the clerks didn't even know the price of items. The roads were gravel and loaded with golf carts being driven by drunks and children causing excessive dust, one small child almost hit our rig while were sitting next to it. Radios were blaring all over the park as well as people yelling early in the morning. The spots were old broken concrete and very narrow to maneuver into. Would never stay in this over priced run down park again.
The rate cited reflects a Passport America discount. This is a very nice park with all paved roads and sites. The parking spots are not wide enough so you have to walk in the wet grass and mud but not too big a problem. The roads are very tight with a lot of sharp curves so take care when turning. I would stay at this park again even though there was a lot of highway noise there.
The rate cited reflects a Passport America discount. This is a nice little park right on the river. Very grassy parking and nice shade. The sites along the river are not available for the Passport America discount. I would recommend this park as a welcome, quiet, peaceful park. Would stay there again for sure.
This was once a nice park but has been neglected and has become run down. Trash, wood products, and items left there were scattered throughout the park. The nature walk area was grown up with weeds over our heads. The sewers were infested with sewer flies. The noise from the Interstate was so bad it kept us awake at night. The lady checking us in at the gas station next door was very unfriendly. This is a have to stop only for us. Would not stay there again. The price reflects the Passport America discount and is more than the park was worth.
Rate paid was with Passport America. Very nice little park with the friendliest owners that we have every met. Mostly permanent residents in the park with only four overnight spots. Very clean restrooms and showers. Laundry was very reasonable. Loved the park and would stay there again.
For a resort campground we were not impressed. Roads were all limestone, very rough and dusty. Showers were very dirty, hair stuck on walls and dirt. Our sewer hookups threads were bad and sewer hose would not stay in place. Site was not level and gravel (advertised as concrete but at a higher price), no shade at sites. Pool open all year but not usable due to not being heated. Road to park is over the river levee and very rough. Wi-Fi was very weak and slow, not usable most of the time. Neighborhood near the park very run down and rough looking, heard gun shots at night.
Park was full with a permanent party with the exception of 2 sites. I was parked in a driveway uphill with no shade. By driveway I mean in the middle of the road. This was once a good park but has seen better days. I would never stop again. The rate posted is Passport America rate.
This park is an OK overnight stop but is filled with permanet working people who have trashed up the park. The restrooms were run down and basically just an old tin building. The wasps had taken over the rest rooms and laundry room. The pool was empty, the same as when I camped here 7 years ago, so the advertised pool does not exist. The management needs to get out and trim weeds and maintain the park better. The laundry was outragously high at $2.00 to wash and $2.00 to dry, which took twice so it was $6.00 a load to do laundry. The rate we paid was Passport America.
This campground is advertised as a resort but is far from it. The sites were so un-level you could not sit on lawn chairs outside, no picnic table, no shade and the roads were so bumpy it turned over the furniture in the RV. The restrooms were not even roadside rest quality, no door on the one and only toilet stall, dead bugs, bird droppings all over the floor and fixtures and one shower stall that had not been cleaned lately. I would not ever stay here again and would not recommend it to anyone. They charge a premium price for a sub-standard park.
This a small shabby run down park in the middle of town. Owner tries to charge you extra for everything. Would not honor the Passport America advertised rates because it was two weeks before the 4th of July. Owner had a very strange way about him ,and the park was terrible. Moved to another RV park which was much better. Would not stay there and do not reccomend it at all.
Check in personnel were way too helpful. Park was noisy due to sites next to busy highway and lawn mowers running all day. Roads and sites were paved nicely. Could not sleep well due to bright lights on poles next to office shinning through windows. Will bypass next time.
The check in lady was very nice and helpful. However when using the Passport America discount you get the bargain basement spots. No shade, very close and cramped, your slideouts will be over the next camper's concrete slab with the picnic table on it. Sewer hookups are on the same slab as your neighbor's picnic table which is a little odd. Wi-Fi is very good. If this park has restrictions on sites with discount it should have been listed in the directory. Will not stop here again.
