Very dusty gravel, sparse grass. Parking lot behind a large building. Wide streets, so-so spaces. Almost full of construction worker 5th wheels and trailers, but the only thing available. Heavy oilfield and truck traffic on the highway, but huge metal building buffers sound. Baths? Showers? Did not see any. Just a overnight spot in the road between destinations. No frills, extras, Wi-Fi or cable, and antenna reception was none. But the owner is super nice and very friendly. No office other than a convenience store, so I guess no late arrivals. We were one of two class A motorhomes, all others worker trailers. August is 101 HOT.
Rate is after Good Sam discount. Always A++++ RV resort. Strong WiFi, shade trees, immaculately maintained, very nice staff, great for rally's, quiet and easy access off I-10 freeway. About 7 miles into town and about 4 miles to HEB grocery store.
Fabulous 360 views from this Hilltop, easy off of I-25 south of Santa Fe. Major shopping near by. Rustic desert landscaping, level gravel sites, strong WiFi, no cable, exceptional baths, offices, and public rooms. Best call ahead for reservations. We have stayed here before and enjoy the park. Maybe windy on top of this elevation, but all gravel. Some sites have concrete patios, all have tables. Rate is Good Sam.. Many motor home and big rig sites. About 6 freeway miles to center of Santa Fe.
Very friendly office staff. Park shows lack of maintenance, out buildings and wooden tables paint peeling. Only about 30% or less occupied for end of July. Landscaping is typical of areas desert landscaping gravel drives and sites and sand/gravel/ stones and cacti type plantings- neglected. Park location in South Taos near major shopping and on main street into historical Taos. Be sure and request 50 amps if needed, as all sites do not have. Our site end location wide, strong Wi-Fi, easy satellite TV, no cable, power and water good. Pretty level. We were here 3 nights. Many older RVs, trailers, and 5th wheels. Not many class A rigs.
A jewel of a camp ground. Small, very spacious sites, family owned, 8 sites facing the river, middle section very shaded, new area very level. Spotless well maintained property about 4 miles south of the historic town of Chama on Hwy 64. Easy in and they escort you to your site. Many recommendations for this park from our friends. Area is all gravel with trees and grass.....rate is with Good Sam discount. We would definitely stay here again. Wi-Fi and Verizon strong.
All the parks in this area are booked starting in June so get your reservation double confirmed. Our reservation was all messed up even with a written email copy. The 50 amp service is only in front parking lot, otherwise it is 30 amp in the heavy treed area in back. Sites are gravel , sparse grass and lots of dirt. No concrete pads. Many trailers and 5th wheels. Spaces in 30 amp area very tight. Staff is very nice but make reservation mistakes. Very limited cable channels and wifi and sat reception in trees are difficult or none. We expected more from the reviews. Crowded spaces, lack of maintenance on buildings and grounds.
Exceptional resort only for class A motor coaches. A true resort with nightly events, continental breakfast included, pot luck dinners, happy hours on large deck overlooking the San Juan River. Spotless, well maintained property, very friendly owner operators. You can buy a site or rent. We stayed here for 18 days, many folks here for longer time. Within short distance to town central with quaint shops, grocery, boutiques, springs, etc. We already have reservations for 2015. The views of the surrounding mountains is fabulous. All concrete drive and parking pads.
Fabulous views from this top of a ridge campground. Easy to get into as office staff guide you to your spot. We were in a pull-through with plenty of space for our 4 slides. Spotless maintenance. Campground is all small pea gravel, so NO dust. Family owned and all the staff very nice. Several hiking trails off of the area. Electric 50 amp power , water all strong and satellite RV reception strong. No cable. Better Wi-Fi reception down near the office. Easy off the highway to the campground location. This is a EXCELLENT retreat. Stop at office / cafe to register. Breakfast and some dinners available in cafe.
Rate after Good Sams discount. Formerly a mobile home park. Lots of deferred maintenance.river and pond chocolate color due to phase 5 water limits. No water in pool. Very nice staff. Many full timers in very run down campers, trailers and mobile homes in back of property. Almost empty on 4th of July weekend. But between Corsciana and Amarillo there is not much choice. They gave us a up front double space, so we had lots of rum. Never could get the WiFi to work.
Pea gravel parking, paved streets, limited shade. Very nice staff and escorted to site. Easy off freeway. Spotless and exceptionally clean and well cared for. Ice cream social on 4th of July for guests. Inside pool, spa and sauna. Next door to a Splash World--would be great for kids. Lots of permanent campers, trailers. We heard some freeway noise but from inside motorhome, no noise. All grounds very well cared for.large check in office . Strong wifi.
Great 5 STAR, excellent 10 RATING, big rig friendly park, quiet and east off 1-45 north of Houston in Spring, Texas. Rate is military rate. We have stayed here many times, always make a over night stop here before heading south to League City where we live. Spotless grunds, concrete pads, soft grass, rec hall, library, gym, pool, a top of the line RESORT and very friendly staff. Catch and release pond, outdoor pavillion. Sometimes we might hear a train..My FMCA group has a rally here in 2014....We will stay here again.
Rate is rally rate with 23 coaches. Older park on 1-10 west, so easy to get in and out of from freeway, but ask for a spot in back. We were in #160, long concrete pad, hard packed gravel - no grass at this site, but very close to rally hall. Cable could have been clearer. Wifi was very strong and sat.TV strong. Limited trees and no shade in the rally parking area. Many full time residents in trailers and 5th wheels. What grass there was had not been cut in some time. Many of the spaces are tight when slides are all out, but our site was a semi-end location and spacious. The charming town of Boerne is a must visit, antique stores and fabulous boutique stores, lots of jewelry stores and a monthly Saturday arts/craft and open Farmers Market. Walmart just up the street, HEB near by in town. Staff nice a checkin.
1/4th mile off I-10 West, very easy to get to and just 7 miles from Beaux Bridge. Very spacious concrete sites, spotless, strong Wi-Fi and fabulous pool and activities center. Suggest reservations because this park is very popular with families and fills up. Golf carts for rent. We did not use public baths or showers.
This was a former , older mobile home park now with a few sites for campers, trailers, motorbikes, RV's, etc. Mostly full time residents in trailers. Gravel sites, paved interior road, our site across from office was pretty level, trees, good wifi ( park hear the office) and cable reception. Very friendly folks. No site map. Wide, long pull thru's and back in's . This is a bargain anf no frills camp ground for what you get..$22.00 cash, $22.88 credit card with Good SAMs. The road off of I-10 is not narrow, just a typical 2 lane subdivision road and we had no problem. Back of park is near an extension of Dog River, so high ground would be up front near the office. We were one night in a motorbike
Easy camp to find just off the highway. Long pull thru gravel sites and newly paved interior road. Trees, cut grass and level sites. Very nice staff in office. Easy run into the city and shopping near by-Walmart & Costco. Heavy rain while we were here and drainage is excellent. Strong wifi and cable. Many full time residents in back of park.
They have a unusual check in policy..you drive one of their golf carts around and select a empty space then go back to office where your coach is parked and tell them the site you want...no preassigned sites. They have 13 waterfront sites, some pull in and some back in. Many full time residents in trailers especially in the back half of the park. Spacious sites. Trees blocked out sat but we used their cable. Wifi was strong and used it all 3 days of our stay. Large pool in center of park us a waterfront pool by Sunset Grill-their restaurant- which was wonderful- suggest reservations as it was packed when we ate there. Very nice office staff and friendly site owners, which there are many. Several old RV's which should be hauled away. Some degree of looseness in restrictions on what a owner or guest can do or display in their site.
From historical St.Augustine, cross the bridge to the barrios island. RV resort across road from beautiful beach and resort backs up to Johns River. Resort very heavily wooded with lots of very private sites with huge trees, so we got no sat or wifi. Sites are large, wide and very spacious surrounded by foliage for privacy with sandy dirt ground surfaces. We noticed many folks needed to use blocks etc to level their units. Our auto levels worked fine in our site, but it was level. The bad news - many very old RVs, trailers, what looked like deserted boats on trailers, campers and many very trashy sites - apparently no rules on how the full time residents can live-scary- and not much lighting at night. Location is the best going for this park...office staff is very nice..
Very spacious sites, mostly gravel sites and streets. Trees and well maintained park. Very nice staff, will guide you to your site and well stocked store. Free waffles, etc. in the am in rec room. Easy run into Richmond and the other triangle of colonial cities. Richmond has high sales taxes on food and purchases. Strong Wi-Fi. We were here in a class A and there are huge sites for really big rigs.....we could park our class A handcar in site with room to spare. Mostly full timers in back with overnighters parked near office. Avoid areas near the freeway, lots of noise.
Would have been a 10 but sites are to close together, narrow streets, tow cars park angled in front of your car, so makes streets narrow and they need to be redone- in bad shape. Pads are gravel so use your levelers. Best thing about here is staff and metro and Gray Line Tour buses to DC are right in park.. I asked for another site 2 times and were told all booked except 2 sites that were worse than the one I was given, I felt very pinned in between neighbor coaches, so we left 3 days early. I saw numerous vacant sites never occupied while we were there. They gave us a refund of unused days. This is a campground not a RV resort as all types of RVs (campers, pop-ups, etc.) are all parked together.
Fabulous small big rig RV resort that is absolutely spotless. We pulled our motorhome into a river front spot for a great setting--right on the riverfront. Short 7 mile drive to Pigeon Forge...will stay here when ever in the area. Very, very nice staff so anxious to help with suggestions about activities in Pigeon Forge.
Rustic, rustic, gravel/dirt/mud driveway and parking sites, most unlevel. Located in a valley below the freeway, so there might be noise tonight as heavily traveled truck route. Sites close together. Camp just 3 minutes off the interstate. I can see the interstate and cars from my front seat. But folks are very nice at check-in, which is located at Cavern, pottery store. We were here in a 36' rig. Looks like many full time residents. Before you park check out the water faucets. Quick for a one-nighter. Do not expect much..
Located behind the baseball park. All concrete drive and parking pads, very level, and park is well lighted at night. Very well manicured and maintained. Spaces are huge. We stayed in the white section. No pool, baths, showers and no onsite office, just a drop box for payment. There may be a office at the stadium Monday-Friday, but no one on weekends. I was told there was a security patrol. Lighted at night. We were here for 3 nights and would return. Many motor homes were parked but no one in them. Like storing them, but there is a limitation in staying, so check. We were there during the early April heavy rains, but no flooding or standing water and easy access to highway.
Rate is after Good Sam discount. RV park located in Marion, Mississippi, north east of I-20 . Park full with campers, towables, and trailers. Dirt/gravel road with concrete pad. Pull forward as hook-ups in middle of the site. Office staff very nice and when I called they asked for no guarantee. We were lucky to get a pull thru as the park is full and they turned away 4-6 trailers. No extras. We did not try WiFi, cable or baths.
Rate today was $52 per night but they honor a military 15% discount. Park totally full with winter Texans in very nice class A motor home, and lots of construction workers in 5 wheels and trailers. All facilities are 5 star: paved streets and very level parking pads. Wonderful rec room, pavallion, gym, library, pool facilities. We always stay here when in the Woodlands area: wonderful Mall shopping and dining near by.
This is a playground amusement park with lots of construction going on, noise from freeway & construction, even on Sunday. Lots of cabins scattered with motor home sites in-between. Many FEMA trailers in back area, guess hoping to rent out? Rally hall and baths were spotless, but who knows when summer is here and lots of kids around. Pool by office very small. Water pipes froze one night and understand cable did not work at several sites. We were here with a rally group so rate was $35 per night. They rent golf carts, so they zip around the area day and night. We were only here for a FMCA rally, so otherwise forget it. The area looks like a camper, towables, 5 Th wheel camp ground.
Rate was Good Sams discount. Stayed for one night. The park was spotless. Some minor neglected repairs needed to light posts; otherwise, grass was cut, clear, no trash, spacious sites, pickup at your door for shuttle to casino, and nice check in staff.. No library exchange. Very clear check in building. Casino had nonsmoking slot area. New hotel is fancy. Restaurant prices very reasonable. The town offers nothing to see. Smoke smell in Casino. When are the operators going to non-smoking buildings? We run when we smell smoke. This was a stop over wading home to Houston.
Easy access from the highway. All paved parking pads, a bit close together, many towables, clean, grass cut, lots of walking space around the park, shuttle to casino - we drove and had no problem parking at casino across the road - too far to walk. Hotel and casino divided and not in same location. Historical town a jewel to visit down near the waterfront. Map has a self guided driving tour showing the many historical buildings, homes and business areas. Go visit the Court House Museum. Lilliana Restaurant wonderful. Folks at RV park very nice at check in. I saw no security . We would stay here again when we are in Vicksburg...on our way to Natchez.
Best kept secret in Louisiana. Beautiful lake surrounded by trails and walking path. Wide camp sites. We were in 15, a pull thru...one of 4. Pretty level, shade, long, view of lake, ask for this one. Great satellite TV reception. Quiet, very clean, winding road past check in to registered camp grounds. Beach area...suggest reservations..very nice folks at this state park with full hook- ups with 50 amps. A beautiful college town with quaint main street area....we would stay here again..not a noise or sound in the park at night. We were in a Tiffin Phaeton..
Very nice well maintained park off a loop about 3 miles to the antique town of glade water where are numerous shops...fishing pond, lots of dog walking areas, concrete level pads, lighted electrical hookups, friendly staff and huge rec hall. No pool. Train noises at night. Many grassy areas. We were part of a rally group. Many full timers in towables in back section. Newish picnic tables. Gravel roads a bit dusty. We would stay here again. Town is a antique shoppers delight, but not much boutique shopping.
Great location 5 miles to Bush Library and campus. Suggest reservations near sports weekends in advance. Paved streets and pads, spotless, wide spaces, great friendly manager. No discounts. While on freeway, noise in not bothersome. No baths or w/d facilities. Pool open some months. Well manicured trees.. We use our own satellite TV and Internet. Bush Library is wonderful and well worth the visit to see some of Texas History. Small dogs only per the manager. We would certainly stay here again.
Call the park for exact exit as GPS directions are wrong...exit 396 . The park has all concrete driveways & long parking pads. Ask for a site without trees if you want sat. reception and away from freeway side-noise. Beautiful park, dry bed stream, very nice rec room, and pool and hot tub. Rally rate was Good SAM. Many full timers in campers and trailers
Deferred maintenance everywhere....city took over recently and needs to do lots of updating. My husband said worst bathrooms he has ever been in. We were the only motor home and there were only 2 other trailers ....so only 3 customers in the park. It is now a city park with a huge pool, cabins and RV spaces. We stopped here for over night on to Weatherford tomorrow for FMCA rally. Did not try Wi-Fi, baths, cable or anything else. No library. Would not stay here again. The work campers and receptionists were very nice.
Very clean paved streets and parking pad and grounds spotless and grass cut...no trees in transit area. Many full timers mainly in towables. Staff was very nice and efficient. Did not use pool, Wi-Fi, baths, so do not know their rating. The traders village is a flea market of very low end priced stuff and typical of a huge Mexican market. The RV site is well lighted and security ls patrolled. Shopping, strip centers , restaurants near by. This was a two nights between home and next stop...and family live in west Houston. We would stay here again as a stopover.
Rate is $42 + $2 for 50 amps. We stay here every time we come to Galveston in motorhome. All concrete pads and drive ways and you can walk to beach. The park is owned by the city of Galveston. Well lighted at night, shopping near by. The park is poorly designed, as all parking pads face inside the park and not toward the beach. No discounts. Paid public parking makes for a crowded park for access to the beach. We did not use bathrooms. We were the only class A as mostly campers, trailers and towables all sizes. The park is full, so suggest you make reservations in advance during the summer.
We visited this place by car....The sales office must have someone go with you to tour the property as they are trying to sell lots for houses and a FUTURE rv park with or without very small casitas, we saw no hookups, so do not go there expecting to spend the night. No improvements except a few houses bullt up on stilts like beach houses,a large open metal building, but I would ask someone if the area floods from Caney Creek or Trinity River. There are some scattered OLD looking houses, a old looking pool area and about a dozen small deserted camper pads which may have been part of a prior development but a nice "fishing" pond. Roads are red clay/gravel washboard and dust is everywhere, covered my white car. The acerage is heavy treed with deer roaming, but out in the sticks, away from Cleveland,Dayton or civilization....Will not go back
Older park, grass or gravel parking sites, mostly older, 5Ws and towables, very few motor homes. Trees need trimming and general maintenance to entire RV park. Cottages area shows no restrictions or zoning and much maintenance is needed. Medical area also looks over crowed and in need of updating. Many full timers in older RVs with lots of stuff around their sites. We will not return. If this is an example of an Escapees park, the others must be like it or worst. Ours was a non-member rate. Road noise from Hwy near by.
We stayed here in the past. We have relatives on Inks Lake just about 5 miles away, so we stayed here...Sites are grassy and not all level. Lake is way down away from shore line and you need a 4 wheeler to get to it. Mostly towables and 5th wheelers. Great family park, pool and play area. Deer grazing everywhere. Very nice park manager. Town, shopping, restaurants about 15-20 miles away. Quiet and very peaceful with great sunsets. Very quiet at night.
Rate was military rate. Super clean, grass cut, paved spacious sites, scattered trees and very friendly staff. Park is parallel to Interstate 71, so some may be bothered by the traffic noise, but it did not bother us. We were in a almost perfect level site at ten pull through near the park down by the river. We were the only motorhome, all others in the 1/3 or less occupants were 5th wheels, campers, airstreams, etc. We were here for one night on way to Lake Buchanan...quaint historical town with many old buildings and cute shops. This RV park is very close to HEB and Walmart, plus restaurants. It is a stop over.
FMCA Rally rate was $32.00 per night, stayed 7 nights and we have stayed here before. Buckhorn is a 5 star park just off I-10 east and beautifully maintained with very spacious RV concrete parking pads & streets, some shade trees, water streams, tiff and bermuda grass, gravel, picnic tables, very nice rally halls, adult gym, 2 pools - one is all adult, trash pickup each am and security. Easy drive to Kerrville, Fredericksburg and other interesting towns. We had WiFi and did not use theirs.
We have stayed here before numerous times. Almost walking distance to town/Main Street. Level, gravel parking, paved streets, grass in-between with mature trees. Very spacious rec rooms, library, very friendly staff, spotless and well maintained. Picnic tables at each site; park is lighted at night. We will stay here again. Many full timers live in campers in back. We stayed for 5 nights then on to Kerrville.
Rate is with Good SAMs discount. Park located across Rio Frio River with easy access to river for tubing. We were one of only two motorhomes in park, rest variety of campers, 5th wheelers, etc. Sites in need of repair and mostly were not level. Did not use baths, showers, Wi-Fi or cable. No play area and construction buildings very visible from sites. Very friendly staff, security guard at gate and owner ready to help if necessary. A lot of road construction on many of the roads in the area...we would not return. But if you want tubing in the river stop here. Very pricy $$$$$. Sites not maintained...
Very rustic property. It is Texas Hill Country. The attraction is the guided tour of the Sonora Cave which is spectacular and was well worth our overnight. Only guided tours offered and the guide was very knowledgeable and we really enjoyed this cave tour. Tours are optional, but guided tours are $20 per person. Pull throughs are $20 per night. Electric box is ancient, but 50 amps worked. Pull throughs are gravel and weeds. Mosquitos at night. Turkeys, guinea hens and deer late in the afternoon. Gift shop is all modern. DelicIous home made fudge for sale. Did not go into baths or showers. Road off I-10 to cave is about 6-7 miles, but well marked with signs. There is one steep up and down hill to go over.
Rate is with 20% discount, as we had been here before. The restaurant was closed, as cook was on vacation. It is an older campground with many fifth wheels and full timers living and working in area. The park is in need of maintenance and overall trash pickup as blown about the public areas. Good for a overnight, but plan on eating in as it is far from restaurants, etc. Very friendly lady at the desk. Gravel driveways and pad sites. Located just off 1-10. Very windy when we were her in early June 2013. Some coach-height trees. The streets were wide....lots of empty sites. Kids were swimming in the pool.
Only rv park on west side of old town El Paso. We were one of two motor homes, others were full timers in 5 Th wheels & older motor homes and campers in a varied state of condition. Park not maintained and located adjacent net to very old manufactured homes in a very sad shape. Office, pool and tennis court in the manufactured home area and no security at night. One night if you are desperate. They had 1 pull thru available, all others filled. Many cars parked about, blue collar area and surrounded by old, Mexican border type businesses and bars will not return. 50 amp power was fine did not look at showers or baths. Bring awnings in at night high winds. Must go south off I-10 about 5 miles and on West side of I-10 for restaurants, shopping, etc....We stayed here as we had a friend living in west El Paso and wanted to be close otherwise would have stayed in East El Paso.....
We were here for RV warranty work so rate was $19 per night otherise it would have been $24. On site restaurant and food was excellent, but not busy in May. Park one of the best maintained we have stayed in, but their park in Florida is also perfect. Trains run at night so expect some noise. We had our own Wi-Fi and satellite TV, so can not report on that. There are 2 pools, large rec hall and gym. We will stay here again. La Mesa RV sales is across the street as well as Lazy Days has lots of RV's for sale. Service was great and easy, tech came to our coach to make DVD and satellite TV adjustments.
Beautiful citrus treed park, paved roads and sited, spotless, friendly staff and security gate into park. We were here 5 nights. Goodyear is west of Phoenix and RV park is south off I-10 west. Many full timers in back of park in 5th wheels. Very nice, very clean facilities. Easy to get into Phoenix or Scottsdale. We had Wi-Fi and satellite TV so no report on those facilities. We would highly recommend this park as it does have the trees and is not a dust bowl. Jets did fly over several nights in training missions to the desert. Sites were large and spaced apart.
Rally rate was $28.00. The park very clean, grass cut and all staff very friendly. There are many winter Texans parked here. Nice pool facilities, huge rally hall and boardwalk over dunes to beach, which was wonderful. Easy drive into town for shopping (1 grocery) and selections of restaurants and across ferry to Aransas Pass. Ferries will carry rv's with tow cars and will ask for weight of rv. I suggest not trying to use ferry in peak traffic.
The location is close to many restaurants, stores, and shopping. Very friendly check in staff and grounds maintenance staff - they get 5 stars. Sites have large trees,so you might need to maneuver for satellite TV. Many full time residents, and park was full the night before we arrived, so I was glad I had made reservations in advance. There are 2 dog parks, plus play ground area. We have stayed there many times as the RV park is close to family. Price paid reflect military discount.
Noise from trains, freeway, heavy commercial concrete construction next door, dust from gravel, unkept deferred maintenance, dog waste everywhere, the list goes on. Would not stay here again. Only part of pads are concrete; most are large chunk gravel; would be dusty in summer. Fire ants everywhere. Many full time 5th wheels and parked towables. Small rec hall. Some sites had cable disconnected. We did not need cable but observed this. If you want close to discount malls, then this is just up I-35.
The rate cited is the rally rate. Great staff and very friendly. Rally area is not treed and has gravel drive and pads, dusty and lots of sticker burrs. Rustic like a ranch should be. Rally hall is 5star. We left the motorhome here for 10 days between rallies and felt very safe doing so. Walk down the road to the Medina River; see the deer walking all over the property and the two huge longhorn steers. Close to town and there is lots to do there. We will definitely stay here again.
RV rate is Rally rate. We spent 7 nights here. It is a first class 5 star resort. Everyone is very friendly and the grounds are immaculate with gravel parking spaces, concrete streets and some trees. We used our own Wi-Fi Hot spot so do not know strength of Wi-Fi signal. There are 2 large very clean dog parks and nice rally buildings. The resort location is out from town, but very near Steiner Ranch, Lakeway, shopping and restaurants and short drive to HEB, and other stores. We would come again. There is a dry spillway pond, but if filled would be very nice. Lake Travis is still without much water..
No trees and rate is rally rate. Park is very clean with well manicured grounds; it is a big property. We have been here before. They allowed a guest with a large pit bull dog on only a very thin leash. I have a small Yorkie, and I was very concerned whenever I was on the grounds with my very small dog. The park is not on Lake Conroe.
Rate reflects Rally rate. Park spotless, very well maintained, well lighted at night, very nice rally buildings. Personnel very nice and offered to help. We stayed here for 5 days. Located a short distance from town, shopping and near launch ramps for boats. Many resident campers. Concrete drive ways and parking pads. Did not use baths, cable or Wi-Fi (have our own Wi-Fi and Sat). Lots of palm trees so no shade. My only comment was that the typical back in space was close to neighbors. We would stay here again but request a pull through.
At first glance it is charming, but deferred maintenance everywhere, dead roaches in rec buildings. Snippy check in folks. Lots of trash left in camp sites just mowed over and not picked up. Pool areas nice. No pet areas. Located on Guadelupe River so it is waterview, not waterfront. If you want a large facility with pools, etc. family functions come here, located very close to town and shopping.
Have stayed here before as close to daughters. New paved main road nice otherwise side roads in park need replacing. Lots of trees. Staff gets A+. Greets you in drive way and escorts you to parking site, helps with hookups and offers lots of local information. Gated at all times. Lots of trees. Might be considered a bit tight, but we will stay there whenever we are on that side of Austin.
This is a paved parking lot with concrete pads and all back ins. Commercial trucks also park on the perimeter. No attendant. No sewer(there is a dump station on property), Wi-Fi, cable TV, baths or washers. They provide 30/50 amps, water and a part-timer golf cart shuttle to casino/hotel if you can walk 1/2 block. You can use hotel facilities, pool, beach, restaurants, etc. Next time we will go to the better priced, 5-Star RV park in Kinder, LA.
Park sides I-12 freeway so noise from traffic. Many camp workers and towables, but clean with charm..Huge lake..nice pool. Very friendly folks. Our pull thru was grass drive.Pot holes in drive way to campground. Water standing from storm & hail this morning..Very nice staff and after hours staff...use your GPS to address. Mom & Pop private campground. Lots of trees...senior discount...Good stop over..We were one of 3 motorhomes. Across the road from Dixie RV Sales..We were in class a motorhome..
I gave it a rating of 10 because if you are here for Tiffin Motorhome repair you would be in Mecca. (We were here in a 10 month Tiffin Allegro Breeze.) With over 110 Tiffin Motor Homes on any given day here from all over the country and Canada for repairs, there is so much motorhome information from the owners to fill a library. No thrills or amenities, but excellent service at the service center, parts store and if needed the factory production plant is just down the road. Tour the plant and facilities. Bring your own cooker as very limited restaurant facilities. A Piggy Wiggly, no movie theatre, a Sonic. Main facilities is a gravel runway: dusty, no shade trees. The 10 spot down the road is spillover when the main facility is full. Dry camping is allowed at the main facility. NO CHILDREN ACTIVITIES. But remember you are here for repairs. Lots of friendly owners and repair people. Great folks in service. First come first serve. Suggest an appointment for repairs.
Park has gravel parking sites and the pull through sites are very unlevel: high and low. The park is very clean, with what appear to be long termers or transient workers. The signs are not clearly marked and the street name appears changed on the web site, but not on street signs. The staff was very nice. This was okay for an over night, on the way to Red Bay, Tiffin Motor Homes.
We have stayed here before. Located on the Mississippi River and a great place to watch all the action on the river like going to a movie.. Staff is all 5 STAR. Pristine resort. Spotless from drive in. Natchez is a charmer of a southern bell type of town with great restaurants. Will stay here again and again.
Very friendly staff. Easy to fine just few miles off interstate. Very clean grounds. Concrete pads. Nice trees. Quiet. Lots of full timers, mostly travel trailers. Fenced dog park, sparkling pool...would definitely stay here again.
We made reservations months in advance for Mardi Gras weekend. We have stayed here before and love being on the beach behind the dunes. Operated by City of Galveston. Very friendly folks. Used my own Wi-Fi router and sat TV. Well kept. Many long term/snow birds. Best location. Will only stay here when in Galveston...We live in Kemah just 20 miles up 1-45/146..Love the downtown Galveston area and Post Office street and all the art galleries..
We were part of a 38 big rig rally so that is rally rate...for a rally of big rigs(30'-45') there were pull throughs and a newish community/rally hall - plain, no decorations, but clean. But only 8 pull through sites had concrete pads and shade, otherwise we were put on 2 rows on "the hill" which is all gravel,no concrete,no shade and very unlevel, all coaches needed to use lots of level power. No tables-no extras. Lots of older permanent travel trailers and 5th wheels. Back section is all long timers, many older rigs and some rigs that looked deserted, with lots of "stuff" at the sites. Would be a dust storm in dry weather. Playground in need of repair. We will not go back even with a rally. I had my own wifi router but I heard that Wi-Fi was 1 bar max. No book exchange. Best Mexican food was El Pandero(sp?) just down the road and a great Navarro Museum Complex in town. Quaint old town-a must to visit.
We were there with the Lone Star Renegades, a FMC Rally with 39 class A coaches..so a big group with big coaches/buses. Staff very nice. Our second time to stay here with the LSR...We were in the back section so we could all be parked near one another...roads are still gravel. pads are concrete, pond in middle. The resort offers a inexpensive breakfast. Grounds/resort very clean and well kept. Very nice large rally rooms. Many trailers and 5th wheels - as many full timers and workers..but still a very nice park and close to San Antonio. Some noise from freeway but not a concern...did hear the train. Took the tour of the Toyota Plant- a must do.
Easy location off freeway in South Austin. Staff get a 5*. Grounds well maintained but the interior streets are in bad condition, but the resort said that was the next repair. New rally addition to office. Sites are gravel. Some recent replaced power stations. They suggest you use a pressure regulator on water. Shade trees in summer. This location is near daughter, so we have stayed here several times. Electronic gate at entrance, so secure. Easy Sat. and Wi-Fi reception. Will stay here again.
We were with a rally group so were placed at rear of the park, near the river paths, shaded and across from the small pool and rally room/office. Quiet except for a nightly train. The front of the park is 5th wheels and trailers and appeared to be long termers. Park well maintained. Father and son owners were very friendly. Small rally room. Close to "ole" town with many interesting buildings. Concrete drive ways. WiFi was weak but I have a MiFi card, so used mine. We would stay here again.
This park was destroyed by Hurricane Ike. Rebuilt and opened late June 2011. Concrete drive & pads. Sand and dying grass elsewhere. Palms just planted...Very friendly staff. Apparently not designed by a RV person. Row overlooking dunes & beach is back in. Pull through in middle looks north away from beach. Mainly 5th wheels, trailers and several popups. Beach location is best feature - as park is located on beach north of dunes. Very clean park run by City of Galveston. Wi-Fi was 1 bar and we were close to office. Location is great.
Located just off 1-10 behind a hotel and truck stop with restaurant - very good food prepared by a group of local resident chiefs-all fresh and home made and truck stop has slot casino. Well maintained park with many full timers in 5th wheels and trailers. Very friendly staff. Strong Wi-Fi. Good for a stop over. Nothing to do in town.
We stayed here twice before. It is exceptional..Clean, and VERY nice staff. There are beautiful paved and grassed park, pull through sites, a nice pool area and rec rooms. We have been here with 2 rally groups. We were here for 4 nights. It is down a nice residential road off Rayford Crossing Road..use your GPS to locate. It is close to Woodlands Mall and Riverway on other side of I-45 short drive with great restaurants, etc. There is a game room. There are many big beautiful motorhomes. We will stay here again and again. There are a lot of things to do in area.
Easy to find. Casino is huge, and you can see it from all bridges, and street signs are well marked. Looked like part of a parking lot converted to RV parking. Very well lighted and easy short walk distance to casino, but valet in golf cart will come pick you up if needed. Dump station facilities on property. Can use all hotel facilities. Suggest you call ahead for a weekend spot. We parked on north side by the golf club so to not face sun. Casino constructing a man made beach area. Great sunsets. Restaurants were good and very reasonable. Beautiful grounds. Register in hotel and tell them which number you are in. Very clean. No shade. Would definitely stay there again in RV lot. We have stayed in hotel before.
Good signs off 1-10. Can see RV Resort from 1-10. LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION..within 3-4 blocks of Bourbon Street..but do not walk or ride a bike at all outside of the fenced and gated compound. The resort next door to a HOUSING PROJECT and considered very dangerous to walk on streets even in day time even though a police station is just 2 blocks away..take a $7 cab. The resort is 5star, paved streets and pads, grass cut, very clean and seems to attract the big motorhomes. We understand about 5 of the pads are privately owned. The resort is 5 years old. Staff very friendly and helpful..can suggest cabs, tours and restaurants. 24hr/24/7 security guard, high brick wall and electronic gate. There is a beautiful illusion pool area. No landscaping except about pool area. There was no shade. We would stay here again.
20% discount given, but had to pay $5 per night for Wi-Fi. We were one of 3 in the entire park, which is lovely and a stone's throw from first Monday trade days. Has beautiful grounds, but a ghost town on a Tuesday.
We stayed here summer of 2010 and again on Thursday and Friday before Easter 2011. Resort was not full. Has very nice folks. This is a older RV park and for us the location was prime factor in the selection. It is close to daughters home. The road in and out of the parking area is narrow and tight. We have levelers as some sites are unlevel. There are lots of trees, so we had to park so the satellite dish would get clear reception. There are many long term RV's. It is quiet at night. Has the best $2 breakfast. Has some recent remodeling to office area. Easy to find as this Resort fronts on the feeder road of the freeway. It's gated at night and has good WiFi reception. Will stay here again.
Wonderful location minutes to town and waterfront and beaches, shopping, etc. Nice streets, pool, etc. The staff was very nice. Has spacious pad sites with trees and nice facilities. Was clean. Will stay here again. There were 7 coachs in our group and they placed us all together. Very nice staff. We were here 5 days and will stay here again. Not sure about the rate as we had Good Sam and FMCA discounts.
Stayed here over Easter weekend..very dusty, dirty, crowed, trash not picked up from community trash barrels, lots of cars, tents, music at night, camp fires. Cash only. Wanted a credit card in case of any damage done by my motorhome. Area by river trashy & unkept. We stayed in motorhome facing river in double space - one for rv and one for car for $50 per night-no discounts. Only good thing is close to New Braunsfels & Gruene towns. RV area parked on a crushed sand and red clay iron ore material. wifi good.. Will not stay here again..Mostly camper, tents, 5th wheels and lots of cars... extra fees for some things. Guests must pay entrance fees..
