Sunset King Lake Resort (proper name) was easy to find with their signs. The registrar was very friendly, and had a resident guide us to the site, a pull-through. The park is very well maintained, and the clubhouse is convenient to the large pool. The view of the lake is beautiful, and there is a boat ramp, or you can just sit and enjoy the view from the dock. It is a quiet park.
This is a large park, quiet during the week, but very busy on the weekends. Local residents take advantage of their weekend activities. They have a large lake for boating, and a small lake for fishing, catch and release. They have a large pool and kiddie pool, large playground, and basketball. Many other planned activities. We stayed 7 days. We would not revisit this park due to the high volume on the weekend, and dirt ground RV site.
This is a small campground off the beaten path, but close to Route 66 and many historical stops. There are cornfields all around the camp, and it is very quiet, except for the occasional vehicle passing. There is one washer and one dryer, in excellent condition. One shower each for men and women. There is abundant history in the area, as well as Lincoln College. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They have brochures for all the attractions. We were only going to stay 3 days, but decided to stay a week with so much to see.
