Rate reflects a Good Sams discount. We stayed just for an over night. Park was clean, sites level and all utilities worked well. Wi-Fi was good, but the cable signal not as good as I would have expected. The park is across the street from the casino, so there is not a traffic problem from the casino. The park is just a short drive off of the main east west highway. We would stay here again if in the area.
Nice clean park, stayed for 3 nights. Sites are roomy, fairly level and grass/gravel type of base. All utilities, cable and Wi-Fi worked very well. Close to markets, restaurants (pub/brewery close by) and laundromat. We did not use their laundry facilities as they were busy. Kid friendly with a play park and swimming pool. Hosts were very nice and willingly provided tips and answers to our questions. Easy access in and out of the park, big rig friendly.
Just stayed for an overnight. Park is clean and everything worked, good cable. Could not connect to the wifi and did not pursue a fix from the office (don't know if it is our computer or their wifi). Laundry room and washers were very clean and new. There are two sections to this park. One half appeared to have the more permanent residences and the other, which we stayed in, was more of a typical RV park setting. The sections are separated by a fence. There is some freeway noise from the highway. Would stay here again.
Stayed for just an overnight in the upper section with full hook ups. A basic no frills park attached to a motel that appeared clean. Not much to do in the town other than the car museum which we did not visit. No issues, everything worked, good cable, did not try the Wi-Fi so cannot comment. Highway somewhat close but little noise from it. Would stay there again.
Interesting place to visit with a lot of history to offer. We camped with full hook-ups. There is not much around the Fort so the TV antenna only received 3 stations (PBS of course). Our Verizon air card worked well but the AT&T smart phones did not. The Fort has a lot to offer; history, horse back riding, tubing down the river and numerous of things to keep you busy. The sites are well maintained and had no issues with the facilities or staff. It is a little tricky to find the camp ground as it is not well marked. Worth a visit if you like historical areas.
Just stayed for an overnight. Clean, everything worked, friendly staff, close to the highway and fuel. Only issue was minor road noise from the street in front of the park. If this is an issue, request a site further back in the park. Discount for Good Sams and better discount for paying with cash.
Ended up at the Fair Grounds after our previous RV Park did not work out. We were visiting for a wedding and since the last park didn't work out, we were getting desperate. The Fair Grounds are a no frills place, but everything was clean, quite and secure. We stayed for 3 days. Would stay there again.
We have been full timing for two years, and this was the first time we actually did not stay. After driving through the park and noticing the spaces were very close together and several residences that were not in great shape, we paid the cancellation fee and left. The park needs some work; spaces and the full time residences needed to be cleaned up. We made the reservation in advance as we would be attending a wedding in Boulder. Ended up staying elsewhere which was much nicer than this park.
Rate reflects the monthly rate plus electrical. We stayed 4 months over the winter and were satisfied with our stay. Did not use the bathrooms but did use the well kept laundry facilities. The hosts are wonderful and will address issues (I had one complaint during our stay and it was immediately addressed and resolved). One previous review mentioned the odor from the bay; it is present at times but is not overwhelming. It's something that cannot be controlled, it's part of the geographical area. One thing I really did appreciate is that they allow the washing of RVs. I think this is a plus and don't understand why other park do not allow washing of rigs. We will be back next winter.
OK park, gravel sites, clean, the utilities work. Spaces are a little tight and some can be a little difficult to get in to. Stayed three days to hike, see the Gila ruins and walk around the shops downtown. The reason for the "5" rating was that after setting up and going to the office to pay, I was told that for the 3rd night I would have to move to another site. When calling ahead for reservations, I was told not a problem for 3 nights, which is technically correct, but who wants to move in a small park for one night. Somehow they were able to move things around in the 'computer' and we did not have to move sites. Lesson learned; when making reservations ask if the total number of nights are for the same site. Seems like a dumb question as one would assume it is for the same site.
OK for an overnight. Sites are gravel, fairly level, and pull thru. Overall the place was not real clean but the utilities worked fine. Staff was courteous though I never received a return call from a message left earlier prior to our arrival.
Park is clean, everything worked, staff is friendly and helpful. Laundry facility was clean and a $1.50 for wash and $1.50 for the dryer. Shower facilities was dated but clean. The Wi-Fi worked well, cable was analog (no digital channels) so I had to use our amplifier with our digital TV. We stayed in the upper section not down by the river. Very nice playgrounds for the kids. The only complaint I would have is that our site was not level resulting is a very tall first step up and down. The class A next to us has some problem also. We were in site #29. The city roads are very narrow and you must navigate some tight turns in Bryson City. We would stay here again.
Friendly staff, clean and no issues. Laundry facilities were clean. There is some traffic noise from the street that borders the camp ground. Septic hook ups were towards to rear of our site and had to use 3 segments to connect instead of the usual 1 or 2. We would camp here again but would explore different RV parks as there are many to choose from. Overall, clean park and everything worked.
This is the lowest rating I have ever given. The reason is that I feel like I got scammed. I reserved a nice site that included cable TV service. After hooking up, all the channels were of very poor quality. I tried all the usual tricks but nothing improved. I went up to the desk to ask for some help and was asked a bunch of questions like I didn't know anything. They did respond well and sent the maintenance guy to check the cable reception out. He shows up with an OLD TV that he hooked right into the cable outlet. The picture was perfect, then he casually mentions that the cable is not digital but ANALOG! Well there you go, who has analog anymore, seriously? It seemed like the whole thing was choreographed as it happens all the time. Other than that the place was clean, but won't stay here again.
Rate reflects PA membership. Stayed for an overnight. Staff friendly and helpful. Quiet park with level and shaded sites. Some are a little tight to get into. Laundry facilities were adequate; clean, a little pricy and the change machine worked. Wi-Fi worked very well, and I would consider it fast. We would stay here again.
Rate reflects Good Sams discount. Staff very friendly and helpful. We stayed for just an over night with only water and electric. Staff will escort you to the site and help with parking if needed. Site was level and long enough that I didn't need to unhook. Upon hooking up the electrical, I got an 'open ground' error code. Notified the staff at the front desk and they sent a person out to investigate. Turned out the receptacle was worn and the ground not making contact. They replace the plug and everything was fine. I was impressed with the response and attitude of the maintenance guys. Problem was resolved with delay. Would stay here again.
Campground is clean, quite and staff is very helpful. Camp is older but in good shape, sites are nice size. We stayed at a site that had 30 or 50 amp service and we opted for the 30 amp as it was cheaper, I thought this was a nice option. Restrooms are clean with pit toilets. No sewer at any site, but host will provide a pump service free the first week and only charge $10 for the next pumping. This is typical of the camping in the area. No cable available and no TV reception using the antenna. Very close to Greenville and the lake. We would stay here again.
Very busy camp, but is was the middle of August and next to Acadia National Park. Sites are close together. Shuttle bus stops across the street, very convenient. Staff was very polite and helpful. Not sure if we would stay there again as it was busy and the sites close together, not our first choice, but the location cannot be beat.
Nice quite older park out of the fray of Freeport (only 4 miles to town). Good utilities, no issues. Staff was nice and helpful. Did not use the restrooms but did use the laundry facilities. As mentioned, park is older but the machines were in acceptable condition. Sites are roomy and shaded. Must travel down a good quality graded dirt/gravel road to access the campground.
Clean park with good maintenance; everything worked. It does have seasonals and all are in nice shape. Park was very busy and very family oriented. Both pools were busy. There are Fire Engine rides around the camp on the weekends which is very popular. Fair size grassy sites and freeway noise is present.
Very nice well kept camp ground. Seasonal campers in decent shape. Neighbors were friendly and helpful. Very easy to navigate the grounds: wide turns and open areas. This camp ground does have a lot of rules, more than most, but not unreasonable. Laundry was clean and not expensive. Will stay here again when we visit family.
Nice park on the river. Seems well kept and, all sites are grass and fairly level. Some seasonal guests and most of those rigs are in decent shape. There is no sewer, but it does have a dump station. Family oriented with the river and pool. Easy access down a gavel road which is very common in Vermont. We would stay here again.
Nice park but difficult to maneuver around in it. Overhead power lines could be less the 14 ft above the ground. I'm guessing 13 ft. so it might be an issue for some. It is a well kept park and the staff was helpful.
