Hands down the best park I've ever been to, and it's 20 minutes from home. I'm hard pressed to go further! Riverfront sites are beautiful and worth an early reservation but the non reservable sites are very nice as well. Always clean, always well-tended. Kroger and Walmart five minutes away but you feel like you're out in the middle of nowhere.
I'd say this is one of my all-time favorite parks. I visit often and have never been disappointed. Convenient, beautiful, and the camp hosts are invariably great folks. The rangers are quite vigilant, and camping solo I feel quite safe. Great stream behind some of the sites, this is my favorite hot-weather campground due to abundant shade and water. The only downside to this campground is no showers, but there are full hookups.
A wonderful park! It's beautiful and close to everything with a great creek and trails, lots of shade. The prettiest place I've stayed yet. No showers, so go prepared. Really loved it, will stay there often. Golden Age Passport members can stay for $5 in dry sites, $12 with hookups. You can't beat that!
There are large sites and they are very level. A nice watchman at night: we felt safe here. The restrooms could have been cleaner, but weren't horrible. Grass was pretty high, but it had been raining a lot. No food other than the casino: good for lunch or dinner, but not for breakfast. Would overnight there, but would not plan to stay for comfort.
Stopped at 3 am in a monsoon. When morning came, it was a nice campground with the best $2 breakfast I've had in a long while. Clean nice restrooms and very nice staff. Lots of shade. Some traffic noise from the freeway, but not horrible. Was hard to navigate the campground in the dark, even with a map: if you miss a turn and get headed out, the access road is one-way! Otherwise this is a nice place: it'll go on our list as a stopover spot.
After reading the other reviews here before I went, I had to laugh when the planes started going overhead. Overall this was a very nice site- clean, nice landscaping, lots of grass, nice pet area, friendly staff. Very convenient to everything I was doing there. Bathrooms were acceptable if not spotless. The plane noise was an issue, though not a horrible one. I think if I had not been in a canvas hybrid trailer and the air was running the planes would not have woken me- as it was I woke up when FedEx made it's big takeoff at 4am, but went right back to sleep. There is really no way to escape the air traffic if you are staying in the area, but you should go forewarned. I would definitely stay here again.
Nice enough campground, basically a big field with side-by-side hookups. Water was every-other, so one person had to have a long hose. Not much shade, an RV convention had the shadier areas so we were in the sun in public camping. Nice security team, well maintained area. Lots of flies, glad for the breeze. Campgrounds were busy but not overcrowded, even on a holiday weekend. Great spot for watching fireworks. Very pet friendly. I will stay here again.
Great owners, called me by name even that evening when they ran into me. Bathrooms were spotless, park was very well maintained. Could have been more shade but trees are growing back from ice damage. Pet friendly, and they stressed pickup, which was nice. Sites easy to get into, WiFi was fast. Cute store. Looked like a clean pool. Extremely convenient, right off of Hwy 65- no side roads to navigate. I will stay here often on my way other places.
Very nice staff, called to make sure I was getting there without problems after I called once for directions. Clean level nice site, easy to get into, nice store with ice cream counter and pizza delivered to site if wanted! Quiet beautiful area, they are building a dog run, very well-maintained park. A bit off the beaten path, but about 15 minutes from Branson and well worth the extra drive. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.
