Stayed for most of June in monthly space for $450, plus $30 electricity (metered). Very large clean restrooms and showers. Staff very friendly and available. Campground well maintained. Would recommend to others. Excellent Verizon cell service; free WI-FI.
Excellent little park in downtown Iron River, close to everything. Site is paved, level and had full hookups; host lives in park. Site #1 has 50 amp service. Electricity stayed at 115-120v, even under load. Chamber of Commerce office is at park entrance and the staff is friendly and eager to assist. Restrooms are clean. A paved walking/biking trail is adjacent to the park. They say Wi-Fi has been approved for next year due to the demand. Wi-Fi is available nearby in the meantime. I will definitely stay here again.
Very nice and quiet campground. I arrived mid-week without a reservation and many sites were vacant; reservations add $11 service charge. Site 104 was perfectly level and had full hookups. Picnic table and fire ring with grill top provided. Park entry fee is $6 for in-state, $8 out-of-state in addition to camping fee. The “comfort station” with toilets and showers is located in the “electricity only” section of the campground, which is about a 5 min. walk from my site, but is fairly new and very clean. Park has paved bike trails and mowed grass hiking trails. I will definitely stay here again.
Very quiet, rustic campground where most of the campers are seasonal. Friendly, courteous staff. Campground is a bit hilly and the narrow gravel roads have some tight curves. Sites are mostly dirt; lots of tall trees, felt like camping in the woods. I had to use 3 boards to level my camper. Electricity was 113-117 volts without a load, but dropped to 105 with the water heater and microwave on together. Wi-Fi is an additional $2 per day. Pool looked sparkling clean. Restrooms at the office are reasonably clean, but it was difficult to get in and out of stalls due to limited space between door and toilet (I weigh 150). The shower stalls are outside next to the pool in the open air, not practical for inclement weather. The dump station is on a slight hill and tight curve. I do not recommend this CG for a big rig or anything longer than a 24-foot travel trailer.
The staff was friendly and we were guided to our site. Wi-Fi and 77-channel cable TV included. Sites were mostly level with white gravel/rock. Each site had a picnic table and fire ring. Nice area with shaded and partially shaded sites. Interstate traffic could be heard, but not a real problem. Pool was open and some people were using it; looked clean. Clean, quiet park; I would stop again.
Very nice park right on the St. Mary's River. Many sites have view of river and one can watch the ore boats go by. I thought the boats would be noisy at night, but I never heard them. Very convenient to town; many attractions, including the Soo locks are within 1-3 miles, convenient for biking. Wi-Fi available: my site was quite far the office and I had 3 of 5 bars (Wi-Fi signal strength). Staff very nice and helpful. Restrooms and shower have very nice tile, require code to gain access, and are very clean. I will definitely stay here again.
Very nice state campground. Restrooms and showers were very nice and clean. Paved sites, pull-throughs with full hookups or back-ins with electric only. Some open sites and some with trees. Campground host camped on site #1. Very quiet and well maintained. Lots for the kids to do. Since the park is 7 miles from I-75, I was out of range of cell service in the campground, but only had to go about half mile inside park to get a signal if needed. Eight mile paved bike trail to Grayling. Fishing lakes, lots of hiking trails.
Very friendly staff. Nice trees, lake and swimming area. Quiet and family oriented. Level sites. I arrived in the rain, so the site was a bit muddy. Wi-Fi available intermittently; able to receive signal in camper located about 100 feet from the office. Very nice and clean restroom and showers. Full hookups available.
Restrooms and showers were tile and very clean. Campground has a large number of seasonal units, not a lot of sites available for transient users. There are two different campgrounds; the one at the marina is flatter and easier to find a level site. Staff friendly; security very good - marked park ranger patrolled often. Not big rig friendly. Very family friendly. Lots of campers had big boats on their lots. I ended up with a site with electric only for the night; site was grass and a bit muddy due to recent rain. Electric voltage dropped below 110v with A/C and microwave on. This is a good place for the kids, with the lake close by and playground. Lots of kids riding bikes.
Fairly small park with sites close together. Staff very friendly; they provided us with a Chamber of Commerce packet with discount coupons. Park was very quiet; though it is near a small airport. Wi-Fi available at many of the RV sites, or in the office (open 8am-8pm). Some sites have sewer connections. Sites are gravel/rock; some back-ins are grass. Very convenient to town. Not many activities for kids. This is a good value for the cost for adult and retired campers needing a base for site-seeing. I stayed here 2 nights and would stay again.
