Great if you are riding ATV's or dirt bikes. Ride right from your camp site to 2800 acres of trails, mud pits and just plain off road fun. The staff is outstanding, and the bath house was clean. Some site are not level and are short, but there are many which are level and large.

The park is clean and not to hard getting in and out. There are a few sites which are tight. There was a pack of dogs at one site which sounded like the hounds of hell. The office manager did finally act and evicted them. We where the the 7 site to complain about the dogs. There manager was a bit snippy about the complaint stating if you are hear to bitch about he dogs I am working on it, and it was in a non joking way. The showers where not clean. We rented canoes from up the road, $13 per boat verse $30 per boat at the camp store. Over all Nice place for a weekend get away. Oh there was live music which was nice on Saturday night down on the docks.

Just a great location for motorcycle riding and just 25 minutes from Wayehutta and OHV area. As always park was clean, owner and hosts are great. I always stay here when I am in this area of NC.

This is a great place for off road riding, ATV, Motorcycle, 4X4 or any other type of off road vehicle. 6800 acres to play with, mudd, tracks trails family friendly fun. You ride right from your camp site or cabin to the trails and tracks. The big down fall is the bathrooms where filthy and not clean when we arrived and not cleaned all weekend at all!!! If you go forget the showers or bathrooms they are a 2 of a 10, this is the reason for the overall 6 rating.

This place is in a nice location and is clean, but needs a lot of help in several areas. The hook ups in some sites are in bad locations. Some sites are very unlevel. The washer dryers are terrible. The office needs to get organized. There is also a older woman which needs some customer service lessons. Because the hookups are in bad locations, you will have to borrow sewer hose and electric extension cords. I gave them a 10 dollar deposit on a electric cord. When I returned it they said I never gave them any deposit. The old woman got huffy and said I did not have time for this and then slapped 10 dollars on the counter. I will explore other options in the area if I return.

This is my family's favorite campground. The location is awesome. The place is clean and well kept. They are making improvements to the facilities and updating things yearly. The stream keeps the kids busy and the sound of the water rushing is so relaxing. The owner is open to suggestions and is on site working. It stays cool due to the shade. There is a train that goes by from time to time and the kids loved that. I will be back as I have been coming to this location for 10 years.

This was a very nice location, and the lake was awesome. As posted in past reviews there is an invasion force of ants which would not relent. Then the yellow jackets come by air. The lake was low so the mud is knee deep on the shore line. I called this the land, sea, and air invasion. The bathhouse was also a bit far from site 50. Overall the place is really nice if you want to fight off the ants. Well kept and clean. I do not like the fact you have to be in by 10:00 pm or as I was told you are not getting in, even if you're already set up. Oh, just down the road is Big Water Marine; you can rent a pontoon boat and cruise the lake which is breath taking. Another good thing is you're close to several stores for supplies but still feel you're in the middle of no place at the campground.

Nice place to stay for a few days of hiking, canoeing and just to relax. Some sites are not level and in the area of site 12 is a very narrow turn with a tree. The tree has the scars to prove its done battle with many a travel trailer and motorhome. We were in site 12 and because of the turn and tree, it was difficult to get the trailer into the site. The web site says its 35 foot deep: good luck getting something that long into the spot. We had a 30 foot unit and its was tons of fun to get it backed into the site. Staff was very nice and friendly. We would stay here again.

The river and spring is just so refreshing in the summer heat of Florida. Tubing the river is a great family event. The campground was clean and bathrooms were well kept. The major issue is shade, there is none so make sure you bring your own. The campground and park are about 6 miles apart.

The sites at this park are spaced apart and nice and private. The roads in the camp ground are paved so no dust when it's dry. The sites are level and was clean. I would have scored this park a 10 but the bathrooms were never really kept clean and it looked like a hurricane when through them at times.

Nice place to stay overnight or for a few days. Only a few miles off the interstate. Friendly staff and the lake was outstanding. The military display outside needs some up keep. Nice little military display in the main office. Would stay here again.

Stayed here for two nights and was glad to get out after a two night stay. We camped in the back the site was level and clean. The issue was the bathroom in the rear. There was no hot water and it appeared its been like that for some time. They had nice printed signs stating the hot water did not work to go and use the restroom on the other end of the campground. Then the sun went down, there was out of control children every place, with no supervision. They were going around in packs and they turned on all of the vacant sites water. No water pressure in the park for two hours! Staff was clueless and not very friendly. Will not be back!

This park is a bargan for 18 dollars a night. There is a swim beach, hiking and rock climbing on the gorge floor. They only give out 10 gorge floor passes per hour and 100 total per day so get to the visitor center early. The only issue was the pull through sites, you share a power box, one box for each two sites. There is one 50 amp and 30 amp plug in each. I had to borrow a 50 to 30 amp adaptor to get electric. Would stay here again.

This is a great park, clean, well kept and camper friendly. There are lots to do, bring your mountain bike if you have one, great trail system in the park. Nice level sites and spead out so you are not on top of the camper next to you. Would camp here again!

This place is by far one of the cleanest and camper friendly places to camp. My family returns every year for one week in July. Plenty in the local area to do, and all is not a far drive to get too. The staff is outstanding, the restrooms/showers are spotless. The stream in the center of the campground is priceless. The tree cover keeps it cool. Stay once and your hooked!

We stopped here over night and the spring is out standing to swim in. The campground has big sites and they are roomy. The bath rooms were a pig pen and did not look like they had been cleaned in days. This is the reason for the lower rating, bathrooms, very dirty!

Great place to stop for an over nighter. It's clean and friendly, the only down fall is the interstate noise.
