This is our second stay here for a total of six weeks. 4 spaces, No facilities, shaded by huge, old live oaks on a working rice & Crawfish farm 7 miles SW of Abbeville. very quiet country setting. Good 50 amp / water. On the roof satellite dish worked if I parked forward on the graveled pad. Verizon lap-top card & cell phone worked. Lot's to see & do in the area. Check out Suire's grocery & restaurant, it's famous in this area for it's food & rightly so. Abbeville had all major stores & lot's of great restaurant's. You won't regret staying here.

Great park ! Our paved, very long, back in site easily fit our 40' MH & toad. Each space seemed to also have a tent camping space with it. Park & facilities very well maintained. All spots shaded but we managed to get satellite with our on the roof dish. Patio area cement w/ table, BBQ, lantern hanger & fire ring. No cell or lap-top service available in the park, no Wi-Fi. If you have a big rig be sure to tell them you want a long level site, some of the sites have a very steep down wards angle. If digging for diamonds bring a long handled shovel & bucket, can rent screens. Park is very family friendly. Check out the crystal mines in the area, worth the 50 mile drive. Town is small but has restaurants, grocery store, ect. Will stay there again when we are in the area.

OK park for a short stay. Sites are level, graveled, enough room for a 40' MH. Behind a truck stop so some noise & fumes from the trucks, especially at night. Lot's of gas line workers staying in the park when we were there. Close to town & shopping, sight seeing, ect. Lot's of history in the area. If you like Crawfish check out the Crawfish Hole. Did not use the showers, bathroom's ect. but they are available. Verizon lap-top card worked as did AT&T phone. No problem getting on the roof satellite signal. Would stay here again for a short stay.

This park was an old mobile home park that was destroyed during Katrina. The owner (an RVer) bought the property & is building a new RV park. The park just opened recently & there is construction still on-going but it is shaping up very nicely. The spaces are very large with very good lighting & concrete pads. I think the daily fees are a bit high but the weekly & monthly rates are very fair. At present there are 6 large pull-throughs & about 30 large back-ins. Just 1.5 miles off I-10, easy to find. Very close to shopping, Wal-Mart, etc. Ask about Grangers, best gumbo & potato salad we have eaten for a while. It is a Good Sam & FMCA park. We camped here in a 40' RV with a towed car, and there was plenty of room to park both on our pull-through site. Plan to come back in the fall for at least a two week stay. Would of rated it higher but there is on-going construction, I'm sure it will be a 10 rated park soon

The new upgrade FamCamp is great! All hard stand, 50 amp power, water and sewer. We stay in many military parks and this park now rates in the top ten we have ever stayed at. Take exit-23 off I-20 & come in the east gate; it's very easy now. The staff are great here, very willing to help in any way they can. New rates are: $16 daily - $100.00 Weekly - $375.00 monthly - no reservations accepted on RV sites, cabins yes. Great commissary & BX. Will for sure come back (p.s, the construction is completed).
