Ours was a long, gravel pull through with full hookups, cable TV, and free Wi-Fi at the site. We also had a picnic table and fire ring. The site was wide enough for our 3 slides. The campground is conveniently located on I-75 south of Chattanooga and is close to all of the Chattanooga attractions. There is a nice laundry room and pool. We did not use the bath house so I can't comment on that. The campground is very nicely maintained. The staff was very helpful.
Sunset Isle's location is perfect for visiting Cedar Key. We really enjoyed our stay here. Some sites are waterfront but even if you are not directly on the water you can still walk out on one of the docks. Our site was full hookup with cable. WiFi is available at the office. The owners are very nice and helpful. The sites are kind of tight but we had plenty of room for our tow vehicle and to put the slides out. There is a very nice club house with a fireplace. Some nights you might be lucky enough to hear an impromptu jam session. The name of the campground says it all - you can see a beautiful sunset from the docks.
We really enjoyed our stay at this state park and have already made reservations to return. There are 4 camping loops, all gravel pads with water and electric. There are quite a few large pull through sites. We had a large pull through with room for 3 slides. There are 2 bath houses with a laundry at each. The park is beautiful with several walking trails. It is a short walk from the campground to the Silver River. The park is located close to Ocala and the entrance to Silver Springs. It is about a 10 minute drive from the campground to grocery stores, restaurants (some with WIFI), and Wal Mart. You can rent canoes in the park for $5 per hour. You really need to get out on the river to appreciate the beauty.
This is a county park located on the Chassahowitzka River south of Homosassa Springs. There is a boat ramp, canoe and kayak rental, and camp store a short walk from the campground. The campground is very wooded with some full hook up sites. Ours was a back in with water and electric and was wide enough for 3 slides. Our site was very tight to get into because of the trees but once we got set up it was a beautiful site. There is a nice laundry room. There is a Publix grocery store a few miles from the campground. Homosassa Springs State Wildlife park is located about 15 - 20 minutes from the campground. We enjoyed our stay and would return.
