We have stayed here many times for an overnight stop. Staff is super friendly. Has a nice stocked store for RV needs as well as gifts and collectibles. Sites are gravel. We stayed in a pull through. Some sites are wider so when making reservations, please make sure you select correctly. Even though our site was gravel, we got lucky and got a level spot and didn't have to level at all. One negative is that it is right next to the airport and train tracks so you hear both all the time. Has a fenced in dog park but it has no grass and did have waste that other people had not cleaned.

Lake Murray has great campgrounds. We love how each space is level and has lots of grass. Some sites have more trees than others.

This is our favorite RV park. We come here at least twice a year. Sites are flat, well spaced and clean. Trails and lake access is wonderful.

Overall, this is a good park; however, there were a few things that kept it from being a great park. First of all, the sites are extremely unlevel. There were some people that didn't have enough lego blocks or pieces of wood to make their rig level and had to be moved. Even then, some had to resort to using several different types of wood and blocks to make level. There were some motorhomes that had their front wheels off the ground. Secondly, there was no grass at any site. On top of this, there were the soft, little burs that get in everything all over the place. Every time we took our dogs outside, they would come in with over 30 burs in their fur. It was absolutely horrible. And this wasn't just our site, but all of the sites. To make matters worse, none of the sites are paved. They have grey gravel everywhere. My dogs feet, after just a few minutes outside the first day, were black, and I have white dogs. I could not even get them clean. When we came home, the groomer had to shave their feet because they were so filthy. We also had a leak at the water connection. It leaked where we connected to the spigot. Because we were a little higher than our neighbor, it leaked right into their spot. Also because these are tiny sites, they were wet all week. We reported this to the management, and nothing was done to fix it. The sites were very narrow. We could not walk around our fifth wheel on the driver side because we would have been in our neighbor's space. They did have very clean bathrooms and good wifi but that is really all I have nice to say about this place. We will not stay here again.
