Loved the FQRV park. To start, the staff was very kind and helpful and will even give you a golf cart ride to the visitor's center 2 blocks away (covers about 1/2 the distance to the French Quarter). The park is a very short walk to the French Quarter and is less than a mile from the French Market at the river's edge. Makes going into town very easy. You do have to walk across a big empty parking lot, but we felt safe walking this distance (we did not however make the walk after dark just because we were never out late since we have an infant). The price is high and does vary by season/event, but it is worth the money for the close distance to town. Our site was perfectly level and the other sites look to be that way too. The grounds were very well kept and clean. The pool is a salt water pool and is warm and clean. The showers and restrooms were also very nice and clean (not your standard public restroom stalls). The park wi-fi worked well and there is also a printer/fax machine if needed. The office is open 24 hours a day, and the park is gated with codes to get in and out - felt very safe the entire time. The park is next to the freeway, so you can hear traffic noise. We ran our air conditioner most of the time, so the noise wasn't a problem. Sirens can also be heard going by, but again, with the air/fans on it was not a problem. We would gladly stay here again and wish it was closer to home.
Gorgeous RV park with spacious sites and lots of grass. Right behind the heartbreak hotel. There is a free evening shuttle into memphis from the hotel that the RV park guests can use and there is also a shuttle that goes to the Sun Studios that picks up every hour from the hotel during the day - although it is a bit of a walk to downtown from the drop off point. If you visit Sun Studio though they will take you downtown after your tour and there is also a pick up point just off Beale street. RV park was clean and safe. Staff was very friendly. Neighborhood feels pretty safe and wasn't as scary as I expected it to be based on reviews I've seen elsewhere about Graceland.
We arrived to find out every full hookup site was taken. He had one electric only site that was right outside the office next to the showers/restrooms. We took this site - it was fairly level and at least we could use the air conditioner with electric. Park was easy to find - there is a sign at the entrance to the shopping center that is in front of the rv park. Right off the highway but quiet. The park roads are all gravel so that makes some noise. We would stay here again if passing through.
This park has a great location to downtown St. Louis. Within walking distance (although could be quite a long walk - probably about 2 miles). Only about a 15 minute walk to Union Station though. The park is just a parking lot with RV sites that are very close together. We were still able to set up our BBQ for dinner though and our slideout had plenty of room. Not a great park if you are looking for a place with picnic tables and trees, but perfect if you want to be close to the city. The pool was a little cool, but clean. Also the staff was very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again. Also, the neighborhood is a little empty, but we felt safe walking around.
This park was very clean, quiet, and gorgeous. Most sites have plenty of shade and are surrounded by grass. It was rainy when we visited, so the area was a little muddy, but not too bad. The staff was friendly and the area was very quiet at night. Easy access to the freeway. We would stay here again.
