Park is mostly for long termers. Needs new gravel to prevent the dirt from turning to mud. Has nice entry landscaping. The yappy little dog left outside in a pen 10' from our rig was an annoyance. This was the closest campground I found to Chaco Canyon.
A jewel of a campground with a stream running through the middle of it. Has family friendly amenities. The sites are level. Roads are a combination of asphalt and gravel. Just west of town (35 miles from Mesa Verde). Convenient to the train station. Owners and workers were very pleasant. It's up higher so it makes for a cool summer. Magpies and robins abound.
