Fabulous site and very good value. Would have a 10/10 except for distance from the city (about 18 miles but worth it). Seems like a new resort situated on the edge of an immaculate golf course. More suitable for those looking for a relaxing, break rather than 'kids- roam- free' KOA type of experience. Which we hate! We are sitting here in total peace enjoying a glass of wine with no outside noise or disturbance. Very helpful staff. We booked over the phone and said we would be late arriving and were told to pick up our information from the office letterbox and pay in the morning before we left. ($35 for the night compared to $90 for a very average, noisy San Francisco KOA experience where kids ran wild, parents couldn’t care less and sites were uneven and tired. The staff was very helpful though.) Spokane seems tired and suffering from the effects of the recession. (We could be wrong but that’s how it seems). Give this place your support and you won’t regret it. Phone ahead for detailed instructions on how to get here as GPS likes to send you off the beaten track.
Beautiful! Very well maintained and exceptionally clean. The owners obviously take great pride in the site. We have a large truck and a 38ft 5th wheel with four slides and the site was a little narrow but not enough to cause a problem for us. Excellent showers: very spacious and clean. Quiet site and not really suitable for families looking for lots of activities for children. They also have a strictly enforce quiet time policy which we really liked as our holiday pleasure does not include being kept awake by inconsiderate neighbors. Would definitely use the site again.
What a dump! Basically a parking lot next to a dirty beach. We had a self contained space for $55 as there were no hooks ups available. You reverse into a lined off space (nice and wide and long). There is a public running/walking path right in front of the lots. We hadn't even set up the RV when we had to ask a lady to remove her dog's waste from next to the camper where she had let it do its affairs. Three dogs deposited within a couple of feet from our RV over the course of the evening, with 2 of the three owners clearing without being asked. But even so, parking near a local dog latrine is not very pleasant. The toilets were so dirty that we would not use them, and the same goes for the the shower. People we met in Las Vegas raved about the spot. So maybe we are too fussy for a dirty, dog latrine area on a stinky beach. Cannot recommend and would not use again.
We did a lot of research and almost did not come here due to a couple of poor reviews. We took a chance and I can only say good things about the site. There is some freeway noise but not too bad where we were. It certainly did not bother us, and we are very fussy. There is minimal shade in some places as palms do not give out much shade but we were in an area with good shade trees. Two pools, one for adults only also with an excellent hot tub. Not much to do for families but we prefer a quieter site. Not far from the strip and public transport is not far away. We stayed an extra night here and would definitely use again.
The worst place to get to. 10 miles of slow moving traffic (mid-day not rush hour) with absolutely no where to get diesel if you have a big rig. Finally arrived at the campground which has seen better days (although the pool and shop are nice and the toilets were very clean but there does not appear to be any showers). Lots are mostly uneven, especially higher up the campground and maneuvering is difficult in many areas. Can't use the sewer hook up as they are higher that the outlet from the 5th wheel so we need to purchase a device to hold the sewer pipe in the air. HUGELY overpriced at over $90 per night but after a dreadful day of driving and trying to navigate to get here we were willing to pay almost anything. If you have a deep pocket, kids and are willing to drive to the middle of nowhere for an average experience then this is the place for you.
Very clean, well managed park. Excellent clean showers and laundry facilities. Friendly, helpful staff. Small pool and hot tub. Nothing for families to do which suited us as we do not like children running about and being a nuisance (sorry parents!) Lot of nearby freeway noise that bothered my parents sleep but not mine and I am a very light sleeper normally. We will definitely use this park again.
