The most impersonal park we've been in. Not much room for rigs to pull in. No one was at registration. We had to go over to the casino for registration, which was 100 yards+ away. No one on site for anything except maintenance. Other than that, and OK park. Sites are paved but not level, shaded. Great Internet. Birds.
Felt like it must be under new management. The front desk (manager?) tried very hard to please and was a very hard worker. We parked ON the river. Many RV parks say they are ON the river and are not but this one is. I-5 is right across the river and is very noisy and detracts big time from the view/river. Great place for overnight. I was given an Internet code but it did not work and the manager did not know much about it so I did not use it. Take away I-5 and you have a premium park, if the Internet works well.
Wi-Fi is provided by TengoInternet. I had codes for 4 devices but could only connect with 3. Loved Lone Pine, and this was a great place to stay. We came for one night and there was so much to explore that we stayed several. Great base camp and the park is kept well, is shady and cozy. Did not use the pool but it looked great.
The only reason a 9 instead of a 10 is because there is no Internet at the sites and they allowed 3 families with small children in tents to camp next to us one very sleepless night. They should have refunded our nightly fee for that one! Sites are narrow. Other than that everything was great. It's close to the river with trails and lots of birds. Nice facilities and very well designed. Pool, horseshoes, basketball and birdwatching. We stayed here for a week.
Good overnight park, but we used it for a base to bird Huachuca Mountains. Ramsey, Carr and Huachuca canyons for several days. Wide open and windy. Kind of hard to see signage, so look closely! Laundry was very nice. Level site. Good Internet. No ambiance.
Nicest in the area, but that's not saying much. Forty dollars, cash only. Site not level. Stale environment with gravel, pavement and park model homes around you. Very close sites. Internet was farmed out to Wireless Web. Four dollars per day and only two devices can be connected with UN and PW. No streaming.
Noisy but nice. We stayed for 5 days as it's a great base to explore neighboring towns. Birded Chiricahua Mountains, St. David Monastery and Whitewater/Sulpher Springs. Benson is the best town to stay in (INMHO) SE AZ for birding. Lake is small, but nice to have birds around because of it. Pool was very nice, but worker was there the whole time we were there blasting concrete. Pool could have been cleaner (needed vacuuming and skimmed).
Good overnight park, although it seemed there may be long stays also. Near I17, so a little noisy but not real bad. Internet intermittent. Could have been a little cleaner, but hard because of constant high winds.
The nicest park we stayed in on our 45 day trip from OR to AZ and back. Great base for many areas of exploration. Pahrump is a nice town with all amenities. This park has laundry facilities and they are nice, just like the rest of the park.
