Rate is with GS discount. Overall, nice park. Staff seemed confused, long time to do little things but very friendly. Did not use pool but looked nice and clean. WiFi good but disconnects and slow at times. Sites barely adequate for 30' MH and Jeep. All connections good but cable TV local stations froze. We would stay again.
Rate reflects KOA discount. Laundry clean and has side loading machines. Pool looked clean, but we did not use it. Internet very slow and many disconnects, no repeaters with many sites....need them! Sites are level, paved, with grassy sides. Whole park seemed scrunched. Noise level good, you can hear the train but not a sleepless encounter. I guess this park just changed hands but front office was very disorganized and frustrated with city ordinances. Pretty mountain backdrop, some shade trees.
Rate includes tax and is GS discount. Nice and quiet, some tall trees, lakefront or riverfront. Site was a little sloping on the lake side. Pool is nothing to be excited about, above ground. Internet great but had a little trouble connecting sometimes. Very friendly hosts. You will like it.
Rate reflects GS discount and tax. Nice clean park. Did not use pool or facilities. Sites were level, all paved. Internet is Tengo.I do have to say, it was better than the last times I have had to use them. Registration is a bear as usual but still signal dropping was continuous. Highway noise not an issue. Some shade trees. Pretty expensive compared to other parks.
Sites are so close together you do not have room to even sit out beside your RV. Dusty, lots of traffic in and out on both ends of site. Internet not working to our site. The front desk said they were working on another tower and would have it up the PM we came in. Never worked. On a hillside, dirt and gravel sites. Just was not our cup of tea and seemed expensive for what's offered.
Some nice views of the river, nice large sites, pretty quiet. Internet excellent, shade trees, picnic tables, lots of birds. Pretty level sites. Nice girl in the office, accommodating. Kerrville is a very pretty place.
I cannot say enough about this park. It's probably the best we've ever been in and the service matched the beauty. Internet was very good. Old pecan trees throughout, birds galore. Some highway noise but, it is in San Antonio!
Lousy location due to road and train. Needs updating. Lacked in grounds maintenance. Short sites, planks are a hazard. Needless to say, I sure didn't like it! Internet slow and it's pick a number to access with your devices. People living here too. About the only good things I can say is it's only $27 or so per night with KOA membership and there are some shade trees. Would have much rather paid more and got more. Pool was "closed for maintenance".
The most impersonal park we've been in. Not much room for rigs to pull in. No one was at registration. We had to go over to the casino for registration, which was 100 yards+ away. No one on site for anything except maintenance. Other than that, and OK park. Sites are paved but not level, shaded. Great Internet. Birds.
Felt like it must be under new management. The front desk (manager?) tried very hard to please and was a very hard worker. We parked ON the river. Many RV parks say they are ON the river and are not but this one is. I-5 is right across the river and is very noisy and detracts big time from the view/river. Great place for overnight. I was given an Internet code but it did not work and the manager did not know much about it so I did not use it. Take away I-5 and you have a premium park, if the Internet works well.
Wi-Fi is provided by TengoInternet. I had codes for 4 devices but could only connect with 3. Loved Lone Pine, and this was a great place to stay. We came for one night and there was so much to explore that we stayed several. Great base camp and the park is kept well, is shady and cozy. Did not use the pool but it looked great.
The only reason a 9 instead of a 10 is because there is no Internet at the sites and they allowed 3 families with small children in tents to camp next to us one very sleepless night. They should have refunded our nightly fee for that one! Sites are narrow. Other than that everything was great. It's close to the river with trails and lots of birds. Nice facilities and very well designed. Pool, horseshoes, basketball and birdwatching. We stayed here for a week.
Good overnight park, but we used it for a base to bird Huachuca Mountains. Ramsey, Carr and Huachuca canyons for several days. Wide open and windy. Kind of hard to see signage, so look closely! Laundry was very nice. Level site. Good Internet. No ambiance.
Nicest in the area, but that's not saying much. Forty dollars, cash only. Site not level. Stale environment with gravel, pavement and park model homes around you. Very close sites. Internet was farmed out to Wireless Web. Four dollars per day and only two devices can be connected with UN and PW. No streaming.
Noisy but nice. We stayed for 5 days as it's a great base to explore neighboring towns. Birded Chiricahua Mountains, St. David Monastery and Whitewater/Sulpher Springs. Benson is the best town to stay in (INMHO) SE AZ for birding. Lake is small, but nice to have birds around because of it. Pool was very nice, but worker was there the whole time we were there blasting concrete. Pool could have been cleaner (needed vacuuming and skimmed).
Good overnight park, although it seemed there may be long stays also. Near I17, so a little noisy but not real bad. Internet intermittent. Could have been a little cleaner, but hard because of constant high winds.
The nicest park we stayed in on our 45 day trip from OR to AZ and back. Great base for many areas of exploration. Pahrump is a nice town with all amenities. This park has laundry facilities and they are nice, just like the rest of the park.
