This is a very quiet and peaceful place. It is well run and maintained. We stayed in one of the on site cabins. Had a porch overlooking stream, fireplace (too hot to use though), comfortable bed, etc. Would not be a great location for children, as there's not much for them to do. Has a lodge that sleeps several and individual cabins. Would be a great place for a gathering of friends (both RV & non RV'ers).

As usual, great stay. Grounds and facilities were spotless. Staff was friendly and helpful. Don't know about previous posters experience, all I know is you have to be friendly to receive friendly treatment. Maybe they just got started off on wrong foot. We had a problem with the A/C on our unit and didn't have a ladder, they had someone there with a ladder in no time. Workers stay busy, so maybe some see this as not friendly, but I see it as a desire to keep the place as spotless as it's reputation demands. It was a great experience and we'll be back. One of few vacations I wasn't ready to come home from.

Park kept very neat. Staff very helpful and friendly. Park is very quiet for being close to US17. Nice level pull thrus. Sites are ample size. Expect high traffic getting on and off US17.

This is the most beautiful park I've visited. The scenery and seclusion is awesome. The staff and volunteer hosts are extremely courteous. This park is not a resort with concrete pads and amenities, but as to natural beauty is second to none I've visited. The sunset overlooking the Amelia River is a gift from God! Great place to ride bikes. The fort is an interesting visit. We plan to return again. Can't wait.

This is an excellent campground for peace and quiet. It is a beautiful place. It is a great location for day rides to the Blue Ridge Mountains. It is at the base of the mountains thus keeping you from having to pull RV up the usual steep curvy roads if you come in from Morganton. It has easy access of I-40. The owner is very courteous and attentive. We were here as a overnight stop on a motorcycle ride. I didn't want to leave the next morning.

Nice clean campground. Site gave feeling of seclusion. Staff very courteous. Quiet lake. Level pad.

Very nice park. Cleanest one we've visited. Owners are especially friendly. They make you feel like old friends from the start. Saturday night community meal is a must do! Great location with lots of close by places to visit.
