This park was a pleasant surprise. I stayed there during the week and had a very spacious, private site. The beach area was nice although the water looked a bit murky. The only disappointment was the swimming pool-very small and the water was way too warm. This park is a nice alternative to the Chincoteague parks. I would stay here again.
Very nice park. We stayed here two nights and used it as a base camp for touring Gettysburg so we didn't use a lot of the amenities. The staff members were all very friendly and helpful. The sites were a bit close together, but wooded, so there was some privacy. I would stay here again.
I loved our very private, waterfront site. The bathrooms were okay although my husband said the Men's bathroom was filthy Saturday morning. We had planned to use the beach area but it was way too crowded and our site was so nice we decided to return to it and spent the rest of the weekend there, fishing and crabbing. Overall, a very nice weekend. We will definitely return.
This is a very nice State Park. The sites are wooded and very private. Some sites may be too small for larger motor homes or trailers but there are plenty of sites available that should work for any size. I particularly enjoyed the large swimming pool and the fact that the park was gated and required a combination for admission after dark. Great location, far enough away to avoid the madness of OC but close enough to visit for a day trip. I was here during the week so I don't know how crowded it gets on weekends but I will definitely be back.
