We have camped here every September for the past 20 years with a large group of family and friends. The owners are always super accommodating and keep our group's sites and cabins close together. Their restrooms are always clean -- never had a problem. And the showers are free! They even pipe in music to the bathrooms. Very nice touch! Game room is pretty good -- plenty of games and a ping pong table. Playground is average - but the kids like it. They have basic cabins - no bathroom facilities. I believe they added a/c to the cabins last year - which is a plus during the hot months! They have a well-stocked, reasonably priced store. There's a pool table and video library (to borrow, and I believe it's free to borrow a movie). They strictly observe their "quiet hours", but it's a good thing. There is a Dunkin Donuts at the entrance, an RV supply store 5 minutes away, and several fast food restaurants 5 minutes away. This campground is a great find if you're looking for a relaxing weekend!
Where do I start? This is not a "family" campground. The $45/night fee is high considering what they have. Game room consisted of 3 games -- 2 of which were broken. Pool table had only one working cue. The pond is for swimming and to use paddle boats, but it was filthy! Beach was super small. There was a playground - but it consisted of swings and one other piece of equipment. I was over charged when I checked in (by a night's fee), and when I went back to question it later that day, I was met by a stern woman at the front desk who was rude -- basically was trying to tell me that my nightly fee was higher than it should have been. Another woman came out of the office and corrected the situation. She was nice and eager to fix the situation. Their activities consist of fishing (there were no fish when we tried - even though I believe they said it was a stocked pond), cheese & wine parties (of which you bring your own wine, they provide the cheese & crackers!), and other minor "activities" that basically cost you money (purchase chowder in the front office and card games.) They have wi-fi, but it costs. This is definitely a place for campers who want to just park their large RV someplace, and go on day trips.
Can't say enough about this campground! The staff was superb! The young ladies & gentlemen working the children's activities and the arts & crafts were super nice! Although I didn't need to use the bathroom facilities (because I have my own), I checked them, and found them to be very clean. Always saw workers around the campground checking, cleaning and working to keep the place great. They were very easy to approach, and very friendly. Lots of activities for the kids to do (for zero money or very, very little). Lake is super clean, too. The store was well stocked, and reasonably priced. Lots of items that you would only expect to see at a large RV supply store. Seasonal people were also nice -- which was a nice surprise, considering we find most seasonals in other campgrounds to be unfriendly. This is a great place, and we plan to go back again and again!
