I am writing this review and sadly I never got to stay at this campground. We came to visit and checked the place out in July. We were looking for someplace to seasonalize our camper for the rest of the year. The campground was nice, they had a game room for the kids and an "adult room" which smelled moldy and looked pretty run down. Their store was terrible but despite that, the place was in pretty good shape and would have done for the rest of the season, until we could get into someplace we loved next year. We talked to the woman behind the counter to see if she had any seasonal sites available at the time. she said they didn't have any that minute but the beginning of August she would have a lot opening up. She asked me to fill out a card with my info on it and she said she would be calling me the beginning of August with the available site numbers. Well, the beginning of August came and went. I called, they said they could not find the card I filled out and retook my info. I requested a call back that day and never got one. So I waited another week and called again. They said they don't have a card for me? So, I gave her the info again, and she said she would call me back. Well, I called again this week and what do you think they told me? They can't find my card! So, they tried to retake my information for the 4th time, but to tell you the truth if they can't keep track of a simple card, I don't think they can possibly run the rest of the campground. So decided I would rather have my camper parked in my driveway than at a campground that was run this inefficiently.
What a great campground! Our site (#107) was great, it had lots of room for our 31ft travel trailer and was very clean. All the staff and other campers were so friendly (even the seasonals). They are dog friendly as long as you keep your dog on a leash and clean up after it. My dog had a blast with all the others there. They also have a petting zoo with some goats and chickens the kids can pet and feed. The river was beautiful as well, we booked a river front site for next month and we are so excited to go back! You will not be disappointed with this campground, there are lot of activities for the kids, and if you don't have kids the casino is only 20 minutes away!
I can't say enough about this campground! The staff is amazing; the campground was beautiful; the sites were big and the activities were plentiful! You will never be bored at this campground. We loved it so much we canceled our next camping trip with another campground and booked with Odetah again for that weekend!
While the campground was very well maintained, the campground was so packed that you couldn't even move without stepping on a child! The original site we had upon arrival was packed with the neighboring sites things (this didn't surprise me judging by the size of the sites) The site was too small for our pop up. We had no room for even a picnic table or to put or fire ring. We went to the front desk and requested a site change which they did for us right away. Our second site was a little bigger, But not great. There were a million kids here and if you were not a kid you were a 22 year old with a group of 15 partying it up all night. While some may enjoy this it is not my idea of a fun relaxing camping trip. I had a hard time sleeping because of the noise and no one enforces the quite time rules. I will not return to this campground. Too busy, too loud and too many children!!!
This was the worst campground I have ever been too! All the sights were small and very close together, and there was nothing to do there! The highlight of the campground was the band they had play for Saturday night..and even they weren't that good. You couldn't pay me to come back!!
Very clean and lots of activities for the kids and adults. They allow pets but only on your site and the only place you can walk them is on a walking trail. The only downfall to this campground is the sites are very small and very close together. I will go back again though!
My family and I have camped here many times and always have a good time! The staff are very friendly and the sites are good size and are very wooded. There are a lot of seasonals there but they are all very friendly. They have lots of activities for adults and the kids too, but the best part is it is very close to all the beaches in Rhode Island!
