This was a great overnight stop for us, with easy access to I-10 and no highway noise. Everyone was friendly and check in was quick and no hassle. Great cable TV. Added bonus was restaurant on site which was small but very, very good. We really enjoyed our steaks and spoke to the chef (owner?) to convey our happiness with our meal. No bar, but you can bring your own wine. A definite future stop for us when in the area.
Great little campground with easy access to I-75. Some may not like it, but it was great having help setting up my campsite. The young fellow was very polite, did a great job and then refused a tip when offered. Didn't use the restrooms so can't comment on them. No problems moving about park. It's close to several restaurants as well as High Springs. Road noise was not bad. Fun to see the animals and seeing my dogs' reaction when they came nose to nose with the donkeys. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone needing an overnight stop.
Lots and lots of noise - and vibration from the trucks on I-10. I stayed at this park because of reviewers rating it highly. Yes the people were friendly and the staff was helpful. I asked for a pull through site and was given the equivalent of 4 sites. It was the easiest in and out I've ever had. But it still didn't make up for the lack of sleep. I felt like the traffic was headed right through our rig. I'm not a particularly light sleeper and neither is my husband but we both spent a miserable night and were glad to leave the next morning. I don't know what kind of folks would like this level of noise.
This is not an RV resort - this is a trailer park. The sites were ridiculously small - I've stayed at many places across the U.S. and have never seen any this narrow and shallow. In order to reach the power and water we were backed in so far that I could reach out and touch the rig behind me. Of course, we were still almost on the street - the very narrow street. The staff was no help in backing in our travel trailer telling us that they had no experience in doing so. This was a wretched experience for which I was charged a very high rate. All of the facilities were at the very front of the Park - over nighters were all placed at the very back of the grounds. It would have been necessary to drive 1/2 mile in order to use the pool and spa. Unless you enjoy being on top of your neighbors or you're interested in purchasing a park model, I can't recommend this park to you.
What an incredible dump. I'm continually astonished at what people consider a nice campground and rate highly. This is the closest we have had to stay on the highway - continual truck traffic and many many trains. The "resort" is nothing more than dirt. The dog walk was a gate in the fence that let out onto a vast unfenced wasteland. The check-in procedure was an interrogation where I was asked questions that no one else has asked me in my journey across the US. What on earth difference does it make what chemicals I use in my tanks? No other campground seemed to have a problem with their septic systems. Just a weird experience all the way around and an OUTRAGEOUS price for an overnight with only water and electric. These people are strange and I can't recommend them at all.
I gave this park a 10 even though there's no Verizon cell phone coverage and no TV either (unless you speak Spanish). But I didn't care. Our site was huge and each site had their own covered picnic table and fire ring. The views were incredible and the staff was very helpful. The showers and restroom were spotless - and wonderfully warm despite the chill wind outside. The Wi-Fi worked perfectly and provided a strong signal during my 2 day stay. The guided tour to the rock paintings is well worth your time. It's not too far or strenuous (okay the climb back up left me a bit breathless) and the caves are wonderful. I highly recommend this park and would definitely visit again.
I stayed here because of the rave reviews given by others. I'm still trying to figure out where they stayed. This was essentially a pasture with water and power. God help you if you miss the turn - there is no easy way to turn around - we had to go 5 miles before we found a spot large enough to back into to turn back around. There is an apartment or condo complex nearby with a very loud generator that ran all night long. The campground is located a looooong way from the interstate - no easy way to get there if traveling westbound - and the railroad tracks were every bit as steep as previously reported. The price was only $16 but for the inconvenience of this location it should have been free.
The facility was clean and the personnel were friendly. However, the sites were very tight - don't think I've ever stayed in a place with less room between rigs. The Wifi was nonexistent - I was told that ATT was "doing something to it" but no further info was offered. This was a convenient spot for an overnight but don't think I'd stay again. Please note, there is a very large entertainment complex directly beside the campground that includes an outdoor ampitheater as well as multiple ballfields. We stayed on a Monday night and no activity was taking place - but I imagine things could get pretty loud if there is a concert. I'm surprised that no other reviewers mentioned this. Thought I would give everyone a heads up.
Very nice park - also very quiet at night with little road noise. Staff was wonderful - sites long and level. Great spot for an overnight visit or longer stay. Seemed to be lots of full timers - but still a great spot. The trees are amazing.
Bathrooms and showers were very clean and there was also a hair dryer in the women shower which was a nice extra. Check in was easy and office staff very pleasant. Some road noise but given the proximity to I-95 it was expected and actually not too bad. I have to question the wisdom of cutting down tree branches at 8 AM - seems a bit rude. The leave blowers were also obnoxious. Finally, beyond the campground is a private lake front community with several folks living there full time. Although the stated speed limit is 5 MPH, these folks were blowing through at around 25 MPH. Pretty obnoxious. But we were there just for an overnight and it was okay for that purpose.
This was a wonderfully clean and pleasant place to spend the night. It was easy to find from the interstate, the Wi-Fi was easy to connect to, had a strong signal and the cable was good. Can't find a single thing wrong with the park. Road noise was minimal and my reception at the front desk was very friendly. I would recommend this site to anyone.
