The cabin was cute and just right for two though there were beds enough for 4. Small studio style with a sink, small fridge, and separate bathroom with a shower. We stayed for a week. It was very hot in Redding but the air conditioner in the cabin and the ceiling fan were wonderful. The pool was nice and clean and just cool enough. There isn't much nearby the campground so you have a drive to get food. No open fire grills were allowed due to dry heat so we bought an electric grill, worked wonderful. The office has plenty of books for readers and a lot of information on local sites. We would definitely stay here again. The only complaint was the office staff were not very friendly.
The nicest thing about comming here was the view of the lake, no lake front but you are on a knoll with a wonderful view. I have been told that the fireworks on the 4th of July is a wonderful site here also. We did not stay with children and I am glad we didn't. The music from the bar and restaurant would have kept them up as it did me and my husband. I would come back to eat here, the food was good but I wouldn't camp here again. Not relaxing, too noisy and too busy at the bar.
Stayed here one night for my birthday, we live local and thought it was a wonderful getaway from "home". The park is beautiful, well maintained, and the paved roads are very nice. The site pads are flat and gravelled. Ample picnic tables, fire rings at every site. Sunny and shady spots available. Very pet friendly. Staff was very pleasant and made you feel welcome. Cant wait to get away from "home" again.
