They are my home CG for C2C & RPI. First time back in 3 years. Even nicer than before. Wonderful Owners and work camper people. Ice cream outside when the mosquitoes are gone (they seem to leave in August). They have games in the game room once a week but the room is available daily for dominoes, cards (hand-foot, joker rummy, etc. Also, there are a couple places in town that host Texas Hold-em. The surrounding mountains are gorgeous and fun to drive (4-wheel not needed but recommended). Local restaurants are above average. I just wish I had found the area/CG 50 years ago.
One of the nicer RV parks we have visited. But, (isn't there always a but?) their internet is through Tengo which is, without a doubt, the poorest provider in the world. The prices are outlandish; the service is spotty or intermittent, the login instructions are hard to follow (especially if you have to change a credit card number. That drops my 10 rating to a 9 all by itself.
We came in a week after a serious car accident. Neither the wife or I were able to do much physical work. Keith, work camper, I think, immediately came over and did virtually all the set up chores including the sewer hose. He and his wife were so nice and gracious. Great WiFi and open for satellite reception. We plan to go back for a month later in the summer.
While visiting here, we were involved in a serious car (toad) accident. My wife had a severe laceration on her scalp and had to spend overnight in the hospital. In addition, she has a cracked vertebra and is wearing a collar for the near future. As to me, I am rather crippled as is and only suffered bruises but when walking is difficult to begin with, any additional pain is nasty. In any event, the people here were more than helpful and the proprietor took me to the hospital to see the missus. I can't thank them enough. I will definitely return. BTW, the park is otherwise great, too.
I was told they had Wi-Fi. What I wasn't told is that it costs $4.95/day. In my view that rate is outlandish as was their misleading representation. In the last 2 years I have had free Wi-Fi in most CG we have stopped at. We will not return.
This is our third time here. We were told they were booked beginning early next week for the Nascar race. BUT, we told the very nice lady at the desk we were here to put the wife's sister in a nursing home and they let us stay AND GAVE US THE PA RATE. Now how can you beat that? The place is not elegant and has a few permanents but it is fine for stopover of a few days of local site seeing. Wi-Fi comes from the Motel adjacent owned by the same family.
We have stayed here 3 times. The rates have nearly tripled since the first. They have gone from $10 value to a near $30 disaster. The rate was $25 in June and $29 now. I could NOT recommend this place to anyone.
Second time here. Nice level spots. One problem. Why, oh why, don't park owners/managers tell their part time helpers how to reset the WiFi. We were camped over the weekend and the wifi went out Saturday not to come back on until Monday AM. The office help didn't have a clue and just shook her head.
Airy, spacious sites, Good WI-FI. Water pressure failed a couple times. I thought it was our rig and spent 2 hours troubleshooting at 9:30PM before finding out others had same problem. Not to worry, though.rather leve, gravel pads. Some trees but not enough to block sat. signal.
We had to move to a non-sewer site over the Memorial holiday weekend but that was OK. Nice place, beautiful area but illness took some of the fun away. We have been here before and would gladly come back.
Very tight spaces. WiFi is a joke. We stayed here twice. The first time the WiFi was slow but staff said they were working on it. Two months later it was the same story. WiFi slower than dial-up. Nice RV wash and good discount on gas.
We paid for a site and asked about TV (Sat or Cable) and was told no cable and all trees. Price was very high, sites were very small. The one we got was too small for our 35' class A. I asked the manager about a good place for steak/lobster. He huffed and said, "I won't eat around here!" Well, we had a heck of a time getting wedged into the site and I am pretty good at backing. There was NO TV signals even by antenna. It appeared that they catered to tenters (OK by me) but the place was dirty and not really camping friendly. I went to the office and complained about lack of TV. The manager said, "this is a campground, not your home." We asked for a refund which we got after a hassle.
Nice, easy going and clean. Fastest WiFi I have used. A bit too much road noise. Believe it or not but the voltage runs HIGH (127VAC) and could be a problem. Operators are very friendly and tours in Nashville are easy to setup. I would repeat my visit.
We are C2C members and don't expect deluxe accommodations but I don't expect the south 40 either. The sites were unlevel, hilly (I understand Branson is hilly). The roads are narrow as are the sites and hard to navigate. In addition, they offer Wi-Fi for $10/week from TengoInternet. What a farce. I could only log on 20-30% of the time and when I did get on, I had to repair/refresh every few minutes. The staff was frustrated by the service also and got downright snippy when confronted, even at my most pleasant. Stay away from Tengo! Stay away from Tengo.
