Great park! Even though it is right off the interstate, noise is barely noticeable. Sites are big, lots of trees, good electric, water ,and cable. Breakfast of waffles or pancakes everyday but it's bring your own bacon/sausage! Coffee and juice are provided. There appears to be many permanents but they are all in the back and you don't notice them. We would and will stay here again.
There is NO shade at this campground unless you count the 3 sites at a pavilion. The electric fluctuates, the water pressure comes and goes, no cable or Wi-Fi. We were on a site where your electric and water is shared with the adjoining site. Once slides are open, you can barely see between RVs. The pool is very nice and was used. They could have something going since they are so close to downtown Savannah but do not at this point. We have no plans to return here.
Hottest month but lots of shade. All utilities, electric, water, sewer, and cable worked great. Excellent water pressure. Wi-Fi works fine with a laptop from your site but if you have a tablet, special instructions are needed. Owners are fantastic and care about their campers and show it. One of their ways of showing appreciation is the still warm from the oven cookies, delivered to our site. Yum! We had not been here in a while and many, nice improvements have been made. We will go back.
This campground is beautiful. The site was level, power and water pressure was good. Lots of room between sites and lots of shade. Sites are grass with gravel area for parking. Staff friendly and helpful. The campground is right across the road from the "diamond" mine, but a little out from town. Wi-Fi was only adequate.
This is a very small, exceptional campground. Starting with the above and beyond staff. You are made to feel very welcome. The sites are far enough apart so you have space, but not a lot. Power, water and sewer were all good and the location was near the beach for those wishing to go. This campground had the best Wi-Fi we have had in 2 1/2 months of any campground! We would stay here and recommend it to everyone.
The is a small really nice campground. All grass sites. Not real level, but workable. Good power, water and campground staff. Used the laundry which was small (2 each), but was clean and reasonable costs. Was our first stop back in the states to buy fuel, groceries and rest for a couple days. Wi-Fi not great, but most campgrounds aren't good.
Sites are a little tight. There were not many campers when we were there, but some sites, including ours would have been difficult to maneuver if they were full. All grass sites with good power and water. Convenient to seeing PEI.
We agreed to a 30 amp site as it had full, convenient hookups or so we thought. The voltage went up and down at times, water pressure was good but taste like iron. The sewer connection was almost unworkable. It was about a foot off the ground. The camper next to us had their sewer hose inserted in to a PVC pipe with an opening on top for our site. The site was unlevel so between the blocks to make our fifth wheel level and blocks to hook up the sewer, we used all we had. The roads are narrow and rough. There are many permanents, some showing it. All that being said, the staff was extremely accommodating and friendly and this campground is a great place to park while you sight-see or before you take the ferry to PEI. We would stay there again and recommend it to others with qualifiers.
Great central location for sightseeing. Check-in was quick and we were allowed to choose our site which was different. We were able to pick what worked for us. Power and water pressure was good although the water has an iron flavor. Cable was wires running down the length of the area where we were but worked. WiFi was great. We would stay here again and recommend it to others.
This campground has everything needed except room to get your trailer or motor home maneuvered into the site. Once you're there, there is room for your slide or your awning with foliage buffers on either side. Water pressure and electric were both good. Being as close to Halifax, for the money, they should provide cable. While there is wi-fi, at times it was slow, probably needing more bandwidth for the number of people in a campground of that size using the Internet. The laundry we used was old but functional, although it could have used a good cleaning. They were doing that as we were leaving. Grocery, drugs, and liquor stores are very convenient, and while you have to drive to sightsee, the location was great. We would stay there again if we were in the area.
The friendly staff is about the only plus at this campground. The site we were on was between two permanents, gravel with unmowed grass and just wide enough for the fifth wheel, with sloping sides on the pad. Mosquitoes were awful. Water, electric, and sewer were fine. While there are quiet hours, the "regulars" pay no heed. There were fires and voices well past 1AM one night. The next day, there were kids running rampant through the park, talking loudly until well after midnight. Heard a parent screaming at his...not to come home or be quiet but to not hit each other! This is the only campground close to Yarmouth. Grocery, liquor, and drug stores are nearby and convenient but not sure we would stay here or recommend this campground to anyone, at least without advising about lax rule following.
Best said it is adequate. The "pull" through sites are short and if other units are on sites, maneuvering is almost impossible. Sites are far from level, power is good but water pressure is inconsistent. Was in the shower, soapy and shampoo and water disappeared! If you wish to use the "new" wifi, don't plan on staying in your coach. It is intermittent at best. A large motor home parked next to us and the signal was lost until it moved. The laundry has 4 each of washers and dryers and all worked although they were old. Could use some place to hang clothes as they come out of the dryer and a good cleaning. The good thing going for this campground is great ice cream at a good price.
Great office staff, and they escort you to your site, explain where to hook up, give you water pressure information which is really good. Water was crystal clear with great taste, and voltage was good. We needed propane and were told to just set it out in front of the trailer; they came by, picked it up, filled it, and brought it back. They even helped a fellow camper make a repair to his awning bracket. Services with a smile. Our down grade would be the sites could be a little more level with more gravel since the area is mostly grass. We would definitely go back to this campground and recommend it should anyone ask.
At first our thought was this campground is someplace you really have to want to go to, but it is nice campground. There are many seasonal/permanent sites, but they are kept up and maintained. There were a couple of old refrigerators sitting in yards, but maybe just waiting to the hauled away. The sites are not level so be prepared with proper blocks, and the roads are gravel and dirt and could use maintenance. The staff was friendly and helpful. All hookups worked well, water pressure was good as was voltage. We would stay there again.
We came a day early but called ahead. There are no signs pointing you in the right direction when entering. The young woman that answered the intercom simply said to go to the trading post. Once there, she had no paperwork for us. Told us to go to the managers office, that she was closing. Up the hill to see the manager. A little disorganized but advised us to go pick out our spot , get set up, and let the ranger know. Sites are not very level, some being so that our fifth wheel would not fit. Not practical to drop it, pick a site, then go back to get it. Finally picked one, went to tell the ranger, but he wasn't there. There are cable hook ups at the sites but no cable. There is no wi-fi unless you pay through the provider. At $43 per night, there should be better service.
Great campground. We were here to visit Acadia National Park, see the area and restock supplies and laundry. The campground is further away but a quick drive to Bar Harbor and Acadia than other campgrounds. It is close to grocery stores, Walmart and Home Depot. We used the laundry facility. It was clean and had several washers and dryers but thought them a little more expensive than what we used elsewhere. Sites are level and plenty long. Some so long you could park three rigs with toads or tow vehicle and still have room!
This is a nice little campground and the staff was very helpful. They recommended a barbershop and even called to make sure of the hours. Recommended a great restaurant, Cappy's Chowder House, that was just a couple of blocks away since we would be there anyway. A central location for lighthouses. Again we did the day trip thing. My only wish would be having access to the water view near the cabins for all campers, not just the cabin renters.
Sites are pretty close together and we should have requested a different site. Our 33ft 5th wheel was difficult to get on this site with many trees. Once there the campground was typical KOA. Staff was great and escorted to our site. We took day trips and the location was great. Away from the crowded cities but close to things you want to see and do. Thankfully the camper on the next row left before we did which enabled us to cut sideways from our site to leave. Don't use site 22!
We loved this little campground. The staff was great with an escort to our site. It's close to grocery stores and great for day trips. It rained a lot while we were there but the sites drained quickly. The only down side is there is no Wi-Fi on at least one end of the campground. We just took our evening cup of coffee down to the office. They have lots of outdoor seating and you can get on line. The added bonus in that is getting to talk to other campers. Pancake breakfast on Saturday morning and ice cream sundaes that night. Can't get any better!
This campground is wide open on gentle sloping hills. Lots of grass. The area where we were, sites were close together but still adequate room. While there isn't a lot to do, it is great for day trips and relaxing when you get home although the roads getting to the campground could use some attention. Were so rough our sofa shifted positions!
