A very nice campground in a location with a wealth of history. Civil War Fort Clinch is within the park. The campground is nice, but could use some improvements. We stayed in the river campground, so this review is about that section. All the sites are dirt, which when wet can be a real mess going in and out of your camper. The sites need to be leveled better and at least have some form of gravel put down. Trees at some sites need to be trimmed some, due to dragging on top of your camper. A new bath house has just been built and is really nice. Some of the sites are small, so check the Reserve America web site to make sure your camper will fit the site. The dump station is on the wrong side when you are leaving, so you have to circle the campground to be able to use it. With a few upgrades, this would be a super nice campground. The camphosts were real nice and helpful. Check out the historic section of town, a lot of history here.

A super nice COE campground. Only recently opened in March 2006. Has a mix of back-in and pull-through sites, all very nice. Some of the river sites have decks on the campsite. All sites are paved with ajoining gravel area for picnic table, fire ring, wood table, and lamp post. Campground has a nice boat landing and plenty of parking area. Not far from the entrance to the park there is a country store where you can get items you might need. Also you are only 7 miles from Eutaw which has just about anything you might need. The bath house was super nice and cleaned daily. A nice playground for kids was next to the bath house. The 2 mile road leading to the park could use a repaving. An excellent park to go to and relax. Even without sewer hookups, I still rate this park a 10.

A super great campground in a natural rustic setting. Has a private boardwalk to the beach for the campers and a super nice day use area also within the park. You are just across the street from a Wal-mart and just about everything else you could want. The bath houses are spotless and cleaned every day. You don't have sewer or cable, but then again this is a more rustic campground. I plan on making regular visits here. Read the other reviews and you will see what I mean.

A very nice COE campground on the Alabama River north of Monroeville, Alabama. The campground has river sites and creek sites. There are 2 bath houses, both very nice and clean. This campground is quite a ways from town so bring everything you need. Ice is sold at the attendants entrance station. You are close to the Claiborne Dam and there is a small museum you can go and visit at the dam site. Would have rated a 10 if it had sewer hookups. Will come visit here again.

A very nice COE park located on the Alabama River. The park has very good paved roads and a combination of paved sites, along with gravel sites. All sites include picnic table, grill, and fire ring. Bathhouses were nice and clean. There are no camping supplies sold at the campground, but there is a marina located next to the campground that has basic food and fishing items you might need. The only problems I have are that sites 9 through 12 are located across the water from the marina and some of the lights from the marina shine directly at these sites. You have a constant glare from these lights on your site all night. Also. it is quite a distance to the nearest bath house if you are staying in sites 25 through 39. A bath house should be built closer to these sites for more convenience. Overall a very nice campground to bring your boat and go fishing, or to come camp and get away from it all. Plan on coming back again, sometime.
