This was the prettiest park I have been to. The campground is amongst corn fields! Wake up to the sun coming up through the corn, a tractor puttering in the distance and the cows mooing. The area is all grass except the road you drive on. There are large shade trees all over the camp. The man that runs the state campground was very nice and helpful. I can't wait to go back.
Very nice campground. Close to town and access to national forest. Quite a walk to the bathrooms and showers. Pool was closed while we were there in August. Small nice pond in campground. Not very much shade. Ground was very hard. Could not hammer my stakes in ground for my awning.
The park was very clean. Front desk people were very nice. Well taken care of. However, I was with a large group of other campers and told my partial site would be 20 something a night. When I went to pay I was told I had to pay 44 something a night because someone didn't show up. Cost was not what I was quoted on the phone. Because of this, I will camp somewhere else next time.
