We pulled in quite late without reservation and the on-site manager escorted us to a spot quickly. The park is extremely well manicured and the sites have concrete pads with spots to park a vehicle. The largest sites are 70' long. The trees are really small and provide no shade. Access was extremely easy and large rigs will have no issues. There is a pathway system that runs by the campground that is for walking/cycling. Great to take the pooch out for a run and the kids out on bikes. Wi-Fi did not work on Apple devices but the manager hooked me up to his personal Wi-Fi for the night. I am told they are fixing that issue. The laundry was excellent although one machine jammed when I put money in...it was immediately fixed by the manager. There is a pool table and lounging chairs in the main building so you can occupy yourself. The pool was not open yet but looked pretty nice. I was going to give 10/10 but for one negative point: The campground is close to some kind of treatment plant and the smell was fairly noticeable at times. Will certainly return on our way south next year.
I want to stay here permanently! A really nice RV park. Peaceful, very we'll kept up and relatively inexpensive. Wi-Fi, cable, laundry, showers all worked flawlessly. The Wi-Fi is very fast and streaming movies was no problem. iPad friendly as well! I was eyeballing the back-in sites on the south side. They are facing the road and have a huge amount of grass behind the RVs that are parked there. There are quite a few full time people there and the spots where they are parked are immaculately kept. The pool was not open yet but sure did look inviting. This RV park makes visiting the aerospace museum a breeze. There is a walkway straight over to the parking lot of the museum. There are no restaurants or grocery stores within walking distance so keep that in mind before settling in.
We pulled in here on our way back to snow-land. The owner was very nice and was busy sprucing up the place. She said it was quite run down when they bought it and is still a work in progress. We picked spot #27. It was a back-in full hookup site and was long enough for the 40' RV plus our monster tow vehicle. Super easy to back in. It was quite sloped so we did end up disconnecting to level up. We were also under a monster willow tree. The whole campground has huge trees and is quite pretty. It backed right on to a pond with tons of frogs who chirped merrily all night. Very nice ambiance. It was fairly early in the season so the pool was not open yet. We did manage to 'Tom Sawyer' a fishing pole and bought line and bait etc. from the on site store and walked over to the kid's fishing pond. There are a ton of fish and although my son didn't catch one, the little boy across did. Your kids can keep up to 5 fish but adults are not allowed to. Overall this was a good choice for a stop-over.
