Great owners and staff, they go out of their way to help you. The spaces are tight, in order to get in your space, it is not uncommon to have to ask other campers to move their vehicles. This is my favorite RV park because you have the best of both worlds; the park is located on the Arkansas River a couple of miles outside of town, and you have shopping, a hospital, and restaurants 10 minutes away. Salida is a great little town.

One of the most beautiful parks we have ever stayed in. Friendly, courteous staff. Spaces vary a lot in size, but 99% of them are larger than average. Each space has a fire ring. The only negative comment I would make is they need more washing machines and better dryers, as this is a remote location. The nearest town in Bayfield, and the laundromat there is more expensive than the one in the RV park.

I think the problem with this park is the management. I was not told when I booked this space that the Wi-Fi is going to be replaced with a new system. (Sometime soon, possibly October depends on which uninterested staff member you talk to.) We are staying here 11 days, and need the internet, to book further stops on our trip, and to handle our personal business. Also to keep in touch with family and friends. The laundry room is clean and large and has a lot of machines; the problem is they don't all work. When I reported one dryer, one staff member ambled away and then came back with my money, but I walked through the laundry room a few hours later and there still was no "Out of Order" sign on the machine. At this park, you either bake in the sun in a pasture out in the front, or you have a view of other RV's and gravel. Sadly, it really is the best RV park in Durango, which is not saying much! We won't stay in Durango again, there are too many other camper friendly towns to go to in this beautiful state.
