This park is convenient to I-20 and that is it's best feature. Good overnight place but not much else. Showers were fairly clean although we did not use them. Bathrooms in general were not clean, trash was overflowing on to the floor, no toilet paper, hair in sinks...etc. Laundry room is part of bath and shower building. If someone is doing laundry, you are just behind one door in close quarters when using the shower or restroom. Some full time residents and what looked to be several RV's that were being stored. It is very spacious and easy to get in and out of. Office was closed but person that checked us in was very friendly and courteous. Good internet connection and got a good nights rest.
This is an old run down RV park that is well past its prime. Owner was nice enough but place is not ready for customers. No bathrooms or showers, and old paved roads and parking spots. This park is adjacent to an abandoned truck stop of days gone by. This area my have thrived at one time but no longer. We almost left after paying but decided to stay and get some rest. We were the only ones there except for the owner. It had a rather rundown building that had "Coin Laundry" sign on it, but I wouldn't have tried to go in it. I assumed another relic from days gone by. In the end we got a nights sleep but I couldn't wait to get going the next morning. I would not recommend this place to anyone the way it is right now. Not blaming the owners, I assume they are trying to revive the place but it gives a very poor impression and we had little sense of safety or security. We found this place through Passport America.
Nice clean campground next to a golf course. Back-in sites and only a few are very level. Not good for big rigs of 40+ feet. We arrived one day before water was shut off for winter. The rate dropped to $12 per night after the water was shut off. It is normally $20. We filled our water tank so we decided to rough it as the location worked for us. Nice staff, and secure location. We were the only ones there for the 5 nights we stayed and had no problems. Staff was around from 7am to 5pm daily. Some noise from the highway but not too annoying as the price was right. They allowed us to use the golf clubhouse restrooms (no showers) as the park restrooms were closed because of water shut off. It has very close access to Kentucky's Bluegrass Parkway if your in the area of Bardstown. Would stay again provided we could get a level site when in the area.
This park is for location purposes alone for us. It is right across the street from Graceland and right next to the visitors center and shops. It is clean and secure. There is 24/7 security to check vehicles coming in. We notice they are spreading visitors out nicely as the park is only half full, not stacking us on top of each other. The facilities are older but clean and well maintained. They decorated well for the holidays, but did not overdo it. They have made a nice effort. There is occasional noise from the airport but not enough to keep us from recommending this park. If you want to be close to Graceland, this is the place to be.
The owner was very friendly and helpful. The gravel site was level in the middle and long enough for our 34' motorhome and tow vehicle. The restrooms and showers are older but clean and well maintained. Our stay was for practical purposes not leisure. It is close to I-65 so it is easy to get to. We were here during a cold spell so we had frozen hose issues but the campground water worked fine. The $14 Passport America rate was a great deal for 30amp service and WiFi. The WiFi provided a very fast connection. It is a great place to stay if your going to area attractions. We will make sure to stay here again if in the area.
