This is a good campground. Sites are pretty level and spacious; however, no trees. It was quiet, clean, and close to Denver. With a deposit, you can receive a Verizon MiFi device for free WiFi which was strong and good. Definitely will be back.
The sites are spacious and the pet area was nice. The kid play area was nice also. The winds were notorious the day I checked in and the clerk thanked me for not mentioning it to her. This was an overnight stop and I was very comfortable. This was a clean and nice park.
This was our 2nd visit and we really love this park. Because this is a popular location, there is a high turnover. During our visit, the winds were really bad. We asked if we could stay another night, the staff was really great and accommodating. Facilities are good, you are in a good location, and easy access to the interstate. Definitely be back.
This was one of the best State Parks I ever stayed at. Agreeing with the others this was a very nice, quiet, clean, and spacious park. The falls and trails were delightful. If State Parks are as nice as this one, I plan to visit them more. Definitely will be back
Agreeing with the reviewers' comments on how beautiful and nice this RV park is. I just want to add that entering and exiting the park is a breeze. This is a popular RV park, therefore, it's very busy so expect some noise, however, it's quite at night. Definitely will be back.
The location makes this a nice RV park. It’s very kid, family, pet, and couple friendly. I’m not going to comment on the rate but I will say paying an additional “daily camping tax” made the small things noticeable (i.e. paying $10 a day with a $40 dollar cash deposit to rent a fire pit). Like I said, this park is in a good location allowing you to do fun and wholesome things. We will be back to do more things in the area.
This was our first stay at a California State Park and we were very impressed. The trees, the views of the bay, and nearby shops/restaurants made our experience great. And to top it off, we had water, electric, and a Wi-Fi signal. This is a prime location to me and there’s so much to do here to include relaxing. We don’t know if the rate is considered expensive for a state park such as this, but we felt we got what we paid for here. Definitely we will be back.
I must admit I like going to nice and upscale RV campgrounds that have scenic views and are in prime locations. That’s how this website lured us in. This RV campground did offer a scenic view, restrooms were clean, and the grounds were maintained, however, that was it. Most RV campgrounds offer the same if not more. Our concrete site was not level (this was the first time we had trouble leveling our RV); you could really hear the hwy noise at night, and like some mentioned, it’s overpriced. My niece came and visited with us and we had a great time. She helped us get over the shock that we paid that much for ordinary. We would come back only if they have a 'buy one night and get one night free' offer.
We brought our grandchildren and niece with us and had a good time despite the summer heat. We enjoyed the river, pool, and playground as well as our visits to Zion and Bryce NP. The facilities were nice, clean, and the staff were friendly. Maybe in the future they could give you tokens to use the showers instead of charging you money. We hope to be back in the spring.
Even though we did not get an electrical site, the sites are large not close to each other. The view of the lake was nice and the stars at night were nice. The park seemed like it was dominate-occupied by local residents. It was well patrolled and was surprisingly quiet at night. For right now, we don't have a compelling reason to come back but you never say never.
This RV park is great! It compliments the location. I can't say anything bad about it, however, the other half said it lacked shade and did not like the asphalt. For me the trees are small for now, but within time plenty of shade will be there. I don't like certain rocks, gravel, and dirt (mud); the asphalt is fine; makes it easy to level the RV. You get what you pay for (amenities and good Wi-Fi). They even honored our RV club membership discount.
This was our 4th RV camping trip. We read RV Park Reviews to get a good idea, and we agree with everyone that this resort is clean, well maintained, and is in a beautiful setting. The RV site was too easy to get in and out (this spoiled us.) We took our 2 grandchildren and they loved the pool, family activities, feeding the fish, and the Anza Borrego State Park. The guests and staff were very courteous and friendly. This resort is small but big on class. We will be back next spring.
We are new RVers and greatly depend on RV reviews to help select campgrounds. Therefore, we agree with others on the great location, friendly staff, and well kept grounds. Because we are not satellite equipped yet, it was nice to have the few cable stations that the park offered. Considering the age of the park, we loved the rustic look. The restrooms were not modern but clean and complete. We stayed 2 nights in May, in which the weather was weird with high winds, rain, cold, and a dusting of snow. That made our RVing a fun experience (hilarious in fact). We will come back.
