Not a beautiful park, as the campground is behind the owner's home and the spaces are not cleaned up, but the owner's are delightful, and we had a nice site next to a tree with good DirecTV availability. The free Wi-Fi was super fast. It is a place you would want to spend a few days in, as the town of Valentine is very nice with hearts everywhere and the Wild Life Sanctuary and waterfalls are something you would want to see. And, you are right by a grocery and a few restaurants. Rate is Passport America. We would return here should our travels take us in this direction.
We had to stay here over a month as it was the only RV park in the area of our family's residence. Rate reflected is for a monthly rate of $425. Expect $40 back ground check (which has to be submitted prior to going to the park), and a amazing 13 page document of "rules". If staying a month or more you must contact the Electric company to have them activate your site. No laundry facilities, no pool, no amenities at all. Manager very snooty woman who is seldom around when you need information. We stayed here in a 5th wheel and would not go back.
The rate is based on a monthly charge. The pool is wonderful, you can choose what kind of site you want as they have 3 rates. The higher rate gets the best sites with lots of space between them as well as a partial privacy fence, the spots get smaller should you want a more inexpensive site. The staff is friendly but very "rules" conscious. We had neighbors who frequently had parties of over 10 people or more. We talked with management who said they would not do anything as it wasn't after the quiet hours. However, we could not sit outside without hearing the constant chatter. We were there a month and this went on for the entire time we were there. A positive is that the park is very close to shopping. There are trees, but they are small and do not offer much in shade. We would consider returning only if there wasn't another place to stay in the area.
We stayed here one night. Rate reflects 10 % Koa discount. The park is very well kept. Most sites have a tree and most sites are pull thru. Extremely friendly camp hosts, very nice. We would stay here again.
Rate reflected a monthly charge. We stayed here for 2 1/2 months and are very pleased. It is also a horse farm so we were delighted to be able to walk over to the stables to visit with the horses. The sites have a very good distance between them with a picnic table at each sight. The sites are grass and are all pull through. Only 4 miles to downtown Custer, close to Mt.Rushmore and Crazy Horse Mountain. Also, the Needle Highway, Sylvan Lake, Deadwood only 1 hour away as well as Rapid City. The owners are very friendly and accomodating. We will be back next summer.
Nice, comfortable park. We were here after most snow-birds hit the road, so it wasn't crowded. Very friendly staff, great pool and hot tub. Shade trees at each site, but need to grow a little more. The Wi-Fi is in the library and is available till 8:30 p.m. The laundry room is clean but you must fill a card up to use. Makes it a bit inconvenient if the office is closed. We were close to everything in Yuma as well as Algodones in Mexico. We would stay here again. We were here a week.
We actually paid the monthly rate, which was only $50, plus electric, a special they offered March & April. Large spots with cement patios. No pool, darn, but well taken care of. We are only 40 miles from Yuma where the prices are a lot higher. You basically are in the middle of no-where, with lots of room to take long walks and pet friendly. We would stay again even for their normal price of $190 month plus electric. Friendly managers, nice clubhouse.
Price is ROD. 2 weeks free, but we would probably not stay here again, even for free. An old, aging park with little upgraded. The Wi-Fi is Tengointernet and only allowed 400 mb per day. Whoops, we went over and were banned for more than 254 hours, for goodness sake. Office only open till 2 p.m. and if you want mail delivered it is only offered for Western Horizon members. Spaces were okay with picnic table, but no cement pads.
We stayed here for 7 days on a Resorts of Distinction rate. Sites were gravel on tiers up the hill. We had to jack up the left side and never got it without feeling like we were leaning when we walked through the trailer. No activities here. They have a library but not a very good one. There were not that many books in good shape to choose from. They mostly had VCR tapes and few DVDs. Wi-Fi did not work very well. Manager seemed a bit out of it and was missing occasionally. Even though the price was zero, would not stay here again.
Oh, my gosh, we love this park. We checked in at the Passport America rate for 3 days, and decided to stay for 2 months. The new owners are terrific, friendly, and very welcoming. There are lots of activities with a daily 3 p.m. coffee hour. If you have an ATV you will be in heaven because there are so many trails here in the desert. Quiet, adult park, with the most friendly staff and those that reside here. We were unsure when we originally came in as it is a 7 mile dirt road to get to the ranch. But, the place is beautiful and the desert and mountains have many trails to try. See the Indian petroglyphs, enjoy the sunsets, love the quiet. Their Wi-Fi is $2.00 a day at your site and works very well. Laundry room very clean and the restrooms and showers were immaculate. This is a perfect place to sit and relax. There are lots of places to visit in the area or you just sit outside and enjoy the desert life. This may just be our next winter destination.
We stayed here for two nights using the Senior Pass from the National Parks. What a great place to stay. It was beautiful, backed up to a lake, good sized spots, very clean and staff extremely friendly. Pulling off the highway you drive for a small way to the lake, peaceful and good fishing spot. We definitely would stay here again.
What a great place to stay! Our rate was with the Senior Pass for National Parks. Staff very friendly and helpful. Dump station close to exit. We were backed up to the river, lots of room, shade trees, barbecue pits and even covered picnic tables at your site. Quite, beautiful, we loved it! We stayed for 3 nights and would so again in a heartbeat.
Passport America rate. Easy exit off highway I-40 heading west from Nashville. We stayed here one night. Quiet campground, asphalt pad site, pull through, very nice staff. The park is not something that you would want to stay a week at, overnight is good. Small, some permanent residents. We would stay here again when passing through.
Very friendly staff, well taken care of RV park, pretty lake with sites. WiFi great, good antenna T.V. reception. Close to highway, but did not hear the traffic. Lots of pull through sites. We definitely would stay here again.
We loved this park. Lots of trees for shade, spaces between sites large, grassy area. Right next to cornfield. A huge pool. It was comfortable and very pretty. Only drawback: they do not have Wi-Fi or cable TV. Otherwise we would have given them a 10. Managers very nice and friendly. We stayed here for 2 days. Will come back again, as long as they get Wi-Fi connections.
Very nice and friendly managers. Campground is up the hill from the huge swimming pool that is open to the public. No shade trees, looks like they are very young so in a couple years they will be big enough to shade the area. We are backed up to a pond that has a release policy, but our neighbor caught 4 catfish last night, biggest one being 42 inches. Free Wi-Fi at your site. Gravel site with grass on the picnic table and BBQ pit side. Very quiet. We stayed here for 2 nights. Would stay here again, pool is fantastic.
We absolutely loved the park. It is so beautiful and well manicured. We were backed up to the Boulder River so we had the wonderful sound of the river rolling by, and could sit on our lawn chairs and put our feet up on the bench and toast ourselves for finding such a great park. The office staff & caretakers are very nice and friendly. There is a little store inside the office. A trout lake where you can catch your own dinner for a fee. Free Wi-Fi at your site. Dump station on property, but not at your site. Park on gravel or grass. We stayed here 3 nights and cannot wait to come back again. Rate reflects Good Sam discount.
We really enjoyed our stay here. We were here 4 nights. Lots to do: miniature golf, pool, hot tub, many things for children including tractor rides. Very friendly staff. Lots of beautiful Ponderosa trees, trees at each site. They have cable TV and internet, but the internet doesn't work very well. They are upgrading it soon. The surrounding area is very pretty. We really enjoyed this park. We were on a K/M Resort rate, so it was free. Will definitely come back.
We loved this park. Very pretty, close to I-90, many trees between each site. There is some train noise as the train comes by every so often, but not loud enough to keep us awake. Super friendly staff. Beautiful surroundings. Picnic table at each site, we were in a pull through. We were only able to spend one night, but definitely would come back again. Rate was with Good Sam discount.
Nice people, very friendly. Pull through sites very nice. Asphalt driveways, close to I-90 easy access. On Moses Lake, pool, play areas, well kept. We stayed one night. Used Passport America rate, but it was lower on the website than it was when we checked in. Otherwise we would have given it a 10. We would definitely stay here again.
This is a part of our network campground membership, so the price was free. Even so, we were very disappointed at how little has been done to improve the park in the last 5 years since we were here last. The sites are on grass that is uneven, and when it rains you have to walk through soggy ground to get to your truck. Being that this is Washington State, it frequently rains. Club house is nice, they do have Saturday night dinners for $5.00. Office staff friendly, but office frequently closed, campsites were not kept up as many had tree branches laying across them and little mowing appears to have been done, and in some areas they had traffic cones out because of standing water. You pay for Wi-Fi and cable TV. If not for the price (free) we would not stay here again.
A small park, but very homey. Several long term residents, but they are further down the park, so you are in an area with travelers, like us. The grounds are kept up nicely, book exchange and good laundry facilities. The manager is a neat lady and gives you oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies upon sign in. She is nice to work with and very friendly. Gravel sites, not real big, but spacious enough to have slides out comfortably. Picnic tables at each site. FREE super good Wi-Fi, and cable TV, all included in the price. We stayed here on a Passport America rate. Would definitely stay here again. We stayed here for a week (twice).
If there is a number below 1 then that is what we would rate this park. To start with, we drove through and could not even think about parking and getting out of the truck. This is the worst park I have ever seen. It was true "trailer trash". Messy, trash all over, lots of stationery trailers that were filthy. I cannot believe that Passport America has this listed in its book. Plus, the road is a one lane, dirt road, downhill, with no pull over spot if two meet in the middle, goes about 1 mile. Do Not come here. This site requires a dollar amount, so we put in a dollar, even though we drove through.
Nice park, pull through, picnic table at your spot. Right on the river. Very nice proprietor. Quiet, easy exit off I-5, quiet, nice little putting green and fishing pool. We stayed here 6 months ago, and will stay again if we are close by. We used Passport America rate. Wi-Fi comes with the price, and some satellite T.V. stations. Comfortable place to just relax for a day or two.
We were very happy with this RV park. The Passport America rate included cable and WiFi. It was good for 1 night, but she gave us a discount for the second night. Both worked perfectly. We were there for 2 days in a pull through lot with grass and patio table. Trees on each side of each spot. Very friendly staff, got discount coupon for local Mexican restaurant from them. Clean, well taken care of, very comfortable park. This is our 2nd stay at this park and we will stay again if we are in the area.
We loved this park. The staff was great, friendly and very helpful. All common areas were neat and clean, pool was heated, a great Saturday breakfast buffet, nice sites with concrete patio and table. Great pull through sites. Overlooks the Dragoon Mountains and Cochise Stronghold. Very large spaces. Close to so many tourist attractions, Tombstone, Bisbee, Mexico and the wonderful Arizona desert. Lots of activities, close to Sierra Vista and Benson. We liked it so much, we made reservations for next Feb. & March.
Very friendly staff, we even had the "welcome wagon" come by for a visit. Very nice touch. Gravel sites, full hookups. Wi-Fi is Tengo allowing 1 hour free. Sketchy as to when it works. Cable TV, nice breakfasts on weekends and library, pool tournaments. Pool and hot tub very clean and well maintained. Laundry and restrooms very clean. We stayed on a AOR (resort fee of $3.00 extra per day) rate for a week. Would stay here again. Understand they are closed for the summer.
Nice park, some of staff very friendly, one was a bit snippy when asked about Wi-Fi. The entire week we were here it did not work. Kept saying they are working on it. Nice lake, ducks love to come by for bread, several levels to park at. Very nice common rooms, hot tub and pool kept clean. We would stay here again, but would only buy Wi-Fi on a day to day basis, first asking if it worked. Would not refund for time we paid for.
Nice campground, nice people. All gravel with concrete patios. Lots of ATV'rs were here during our stay, but not noisy at all. Quite a few full-time residents, but the place is very clean and neat. The community center was very nice, card games scheduled and lending library. We were here for 1 week. No cable TV, but antenna worked just fine. Close to Arizona and Nevada for side trips. Gas much cheaper in Arizona. Enjoyed our stay. We definitely would return.
We stayed here in for one week and really enjoyed our stay. The owners were very friendly and gracious. The spot we were in was a back in, next to a lovely tree with a good size space between our neighbors. A good place to stay, especially if you are a Passport America member, as there is no limit on the days of stay.
We stayed here for 8 days on an AOR rate. Really liked the office staff, very friendly. Space was large with gravel and a concrete patio. There is plenty of room for your truck right next to the trailer. We had a small palm tree on our site. Great internet connection, but no cable TV. Very clean and the pool area was pristine. Library, laundry facilities, lots of activities. We will definitely stay here again.
We stayed here on a Passport America rate. Very, very nice staff. Easy access off Interstate 5. Gravel sites, we had a pull through. Wi-Fi service excellent, used our digital antenna for TV and had great reception. A nice park for an overnight stay. We were here 2 days. Okay for double slides, room on either side without being too close to neighbor. As we are right off the Interstate, there is some traffic noise, however there is a cement wall on the Interstate side which buffers most of the sound. Very clean restrooms, laundry room. Well kept park. We would stay here again.
