We travel the California Gold Country almost every spring. Our first time at Gold Country RV park. Park was mostly empty due to the time of year. The deluxe spaces are deep and allow tents. Some spaces require thinking to back into, but doable. Plenty of activities during the season, mini-golf, pool, water park, game room and more. Plenty to see in the area including Daffodil Hill just 5 fives away. Stayed here in a 5th wheel and will do it again.

Lots of trees. Easy pull through sites. (Even for a novice like me.) Easy access off I-80, no Hwy noise. A $5 surcharge for 50 amp service. My 5th wheel is only 30, but they said no AC on 30amp sites. Oh well. Good Wi-Fi.

We base camped here for a week in October. The park is on old route 66 (it dead ends 1/4 mile east of park). Site was level. Nice shade and sites not too close together. We had 5 empty spaces around most of the time. Staff was very friendly. We phoned 2 days ahead to see if we could come early..no problem. Yes KOA's are on the high side, but the satisfaction of a great stay is worth it. We will be back.
