The road is a little tight when first coming into the office, then opens up past the office. Has long pull through grassy sites, no problem getting level. Wi-Fi is a joke for a dollar a day. Go to the local McDonalds for FREE Wi-Fi. It's close to the boarder, so a good spot if you are going to Nova Scotia or PEI. Too many rules for our liking and they nickel and dime you to death. Has very poor water pressure.
Big rig friendly, long pull through sites. Easy check in with very friendly people at front desk. Grounds and bathrooms are immaculate. They advertise as an adult park and they are. There is no playground/pool, not a place to bring kids to. It's very quiet at all times. We would stay here again. There is a restaurant on site, had supper there last night. The food was good and they had good prices.
Overall not a bad campground, a great place for kids and they are everywhere here, no shortage of them but that's OK. The main problem we have with the place, upon checking in we were told the state has them under a boil water order, drinking water tested positive for E.Coli, Really, nice. I understand things like this happens but why wait until check in to tell us. If you couldn't tell us when we made the reservation at least post it on your website. Drive 7 hours to get here then couldn't even get a drink of water. If we would have known this before hand we still would have came, just filled our water tank from home, I can carry 100 gallons, in this day and age there's no reason not to communicate with your customers. I mean come on, E.Coli is serious stuff. They have a lot of activities for the kids, they keep them busy. Restrooms not so clean, could be better.
The most rude office personel I ever ran in to. Very low voltage at site, 105 volts showing on meter entire week. This is the 4th time camping here and the last. Very hard to dump tanks, as they raised all of the sewer hook-ups a foot. As the old saying goes, you can't make s**t run up hill. One of the activities we went to was a water balloon volley ball game. They didn't provided enough water ballons so they then gave us a regular volley ball and said: "Here have fun." The place was empty the week before July 4th weekend, I can see why. Don't buy any camping supplies in the store. I needed a slinky for my sewer hose, paid $60.00 for the same one that is $26.00 @ Camping World.
30 amp site and the electric was very poor, not even enough amps to run the AC. Site was backed up to Interstate 95 so we had a lot of road noise, wife had to wear ear plugs to sleep. There are better sites up front farther away from the road. On Friday and Saturday the campground was about 90% full, come Sunday it was empty, seems like it is used more on weekends. Where we are from the campgrounds stay full in the month of August so I found it funny that this was so empty during the week, just an observation. The women working the desk could use a lesson on how to be nice, very cold and a little stand offish, not mean just when someone is taking my money I at least like to be looked at and maybe even a Thank You would be nice. We think the rates for this place is on the high side, $42.00 a night for a E/W site and the electric wasn't even good enough to run the AC, lots of road noise, no shade just a big open field is to much money. If the sites up front with E/W/S/C and shade was $42.00 it would be worth it but they are $55.00 a night. We have no plans of returning, there are better parks in the area.
We are staying here right now for 3 months. A beautiful RV Resort. I have yet to see a dog "Do It Thing" and it's owner not clean up after it. Wifi does have limited range, they have improved it since we have been here and are still working on it. I have only seen 1 Motorhome with a trailer left on a site since we have been here. Nightly prices are high but the monthly prices are within reason. We like it here so much we have already rented for Jan., Feb., & March 2007.
We never got to stay at this park. Three of us made reservation in Feb. 2005 for the 2006 season, (Jan., Feb., March.) In June of 2005 we all received letters saying that the rates were increasing from 1273.00 to 1600.00 for the 3 months. No where in our confirmation letter did it state that "Rates are subject to change". All three of us canceled our reservations, we are now trying to get our 100.00 deposits returned. We also filed a complaint with the BBB in their area. We had a contract with these people, a confirmation letter, site numbers assigned, a deposit made. They didn't hold up there end of the contract.
