Stayed here 2 nights and that was too much. Place is old and no improvements. Had a problem backing in for the trees. Escort admitted some needed cutting but he didn't want to. Golf carts were allowed and you could easily get run over. Young children to older adults were all over the place with carts. The only positive comment was their fireworks show was pretty good. The campground was full that weekend. Roads are too narrow for two-lane traffic.
Stayed here for 3 nights in a 39 ft rig. Sites are too narrow. We were put on a pull-through in full sun. Had a problem parking truck to be out of others way. One-nighters were given shaded sites, which did not sit well. Only positive thing is extended stay campers were in the back part of campground. That said, the only way in and out was by our site. Very noisy starting around 5 every morning. Last day at KOA, a long motor home parked next to us and noticed our light were flickering from lack of power. Did not flicker prior to this. Typical KOA, good for one nighters and that's about all.
Stayed one night returning home. Was very impressed with campground and ease in and out. Came in on a Sunday. Glad I made reservations ahead since no one is there on a Sunday for checking in or to handle problems. We had good Wi-Fi on our site. Could only get 3 PBS stations and nothing else. No cable available. Breakfast and lunch available. We would definitely stay here again when in the area. Biggest complaint was there were people cleaning RV's and parked their trucks, trailers in the road. Had to drive around them on the grass in order to leave. Not very nice pulling a 39 foot unit. Other complaint is there should be someone available on Sunday. Large enough to at least have a volunteer there.
Mostly permanent sites. Wi-Fi weak and antenna TV in and out. No cable. Well maintained and nice campground. Staff helpful and friendly along with the few people that were there. Campground had just opened for the summer so not many people around. I would stay there again. Biggest complaint is way overpriced.
Stayed here during our International Rally. Site was a back in and was taken to the site from the wrong direction. It's hard to back 39 footer in, water pressure terrible, and WiFi even worst. Had to use my pump to take showers and wash dishes. Complained twice but just excuses. Site next to me the same and others throughout complained. Place overloaded with park models. Campers squeezed between these units. Residents there were rude. Will not stay there again. Need to drop the "Resort" off their logo.
Sites are too close and small. Train runs at rear of campground. When checking in, my wife went inside our unit. When she came out, the male escort asked what was she doing, using the bath room? This was no one's business what she was doing, and for a man to ask this was inexcusable. This place was way over priced for its location. Will not come back or recommend it.
This was our 3rd stay here. Was shocked at how this place has gone down hill. The building is in need of major repairs. The swimming pool was full of stale green water. Should had been covered or drained. It was a wet trip and the whole campground was covered like a lake. The drainage if any was terrible. The new owners need to really fix it up or close it down. Will not go back.
We have stayed here twice. Most recent visit found new management. Staff in the office and on the grounds was friendly. My negative observation was to many so called staff workers on the grounds. They spent to much time riding around on golf carts doing nothing. The grounds needed much upkeep. Grass needed cutting and flower beds away from the entrance had weeds and grass taller than the flowers. We arrived on a Sunday so there weren't many campers around so it was quiet. I wish the new owners success with this park. We will stay here the next time we go to Cherokee.
