The WiFi is really weak once you're away from the store, understandably being the CG is on a mountainside. Clean and supremely well kept as always. They could probably use one more bathhouse on the upper end as they were in use quite often and it's a long walk down to the office one. Everything was just as clean and nice as always. Super clean and nice little cabins.

Very small but super nice campground. Owner tries to establish a relationship with everyone and plans to make it a destination campground with the addition of clubhouse and other things. Great for couples. Small stocked fishing pond. Awesome view of Pilot Mountain. Outstanding bathhouse, one of the nicest we've ever used. Large concrete sites with plenty of gravel, so NO mud when it rains. Of course it did both days we were here! Close to Mt. Pilot and Mt. Airy. Good power supply, adequate water pressure. Trash can at every site. 10 sites, all pull-through and easy to maneuver inside the park. Getting out is a sharp right hand turn. Looking forward to seeing it expand. He really seems to care about your safety, security, and satisfaction.

Beach sites are pull through and are adequately sized. Great pool and lazy river. Friendly staff. Wooded section needs bathhouse renovation and are back in sites. Great cable, typical weak Wi-Fi. Favorite campground in Myrtle Beach, we don't camp anywhere else there now.

For the good: staff was friendly and very helpful. Water pressure and power were great. The rest: older facility and looks like it. The main office and bathhouse need renovation IMO, not terrible, just not up to other KOA cg standards I've been to. The WiFi didn't work. My site wasn't even close to big enough for a 28ft TT. Couldn't park my truck on it, sites are very close where you pull in and pull out and next to one another. Couldn't level my trailer with all the blocks I could safely fit under the right side and deflating my left side tires to 10psi! Appeared to have great tent sites. It poured rain the entire weekend, so it was a muddy mess. Fire ring was some rocks in about a 12-14" circle, so bring your own pit. Lots of permanent sites.

I've camped here on two previous occasions and this was the worst visit for me. As others have mentioned, the place is a mudpit whenever it rains. There is standing water all over the water/electric sites. The bathrooms were very dirty and the one by the store was closed. With an 85% full park, that's not good. The Wi-Fi was useless and there was no a/c in any of the buildings. Guess I've always stayed when it was cooler. On the positive side, they did have a DJ and fireworks, staff was friendly, and the store was well stocked.

We stayed here just to go to Kings Dominion with our kids. Pretty nice CG for its age. It is right on I-95 and you do hear traffic all night, but it was so constant, I had no problem sleeping and I sleep very light. There is a small airstrip very close by and we heard several planes around 9am Sunday morning. Bathrooms appear recently renovated and pretty nice. Still have original floors though. Amazingly, my site, D10, required no leveling blocks. Good Wi-Fi, power, and water pressure. They just left KOA, so keep that in mind if you're a member. They offer veteran, active duty, and Good Sam discounts though.

Again, they have upped their game at this CG. They now have a fenced in dog area and several sites with fenced in back yards. The bathrooms and showers are the standard by which I judge others. Still appear new years later. You won't find better owners anywhere. They were flexible on checkout and let me borrow a ladder to work on my roof! I don't recommend site 6, as it's beside the pool and is the passageway to the pond.

Gravel roads, section B is on a hill. Most of the spots will require leveling blocks. The fishing pond is situated "outside" the park under some high voltage power lines. Great bathrooms and playground for younger children. Very nice and helpful owners. Best deal on firewood ever, a huge pile for $5. Still working on their game and fun room though. No store, but Walmarts are local. Country Roads RV is about 20-25 minutes away. Great power supply control, full hook ups. Full timers in section A. Highway 85 is only a few thousand feet away, but you really just hear the truck tire noise.

Great campground and wonderful mountain setting. The owners and family are all so nice and helpful. I was in site 13, really liked it. Good space on side of trailer, fire pit, picnic table, and concrete pad. Not quite level. Great Halloween activities for our kids, we come every year at Halloween. They now have a few sites with a fenced in area for dogs behind your site.

Very clean and new RV park. Clean restroom/showers, nice laundry facilities, and nice facilities in general. Close to Dollywood, and like other camper said, you can hear the train whistle. The negatives: many sites aren't level, had to really lift the front and one side, small size cg (not negative to some), and no kids activities. Great voltage no matter the load. It will really be nice as the trees and shrubs mature. There were mostly full timers there, we just left and there were very few "regular" campers.

For a weekend trip to the beach from the Raleigh area, this is the best there is. It is definitely overpriced, but so are the Outer Banks campgrounds that are much farther to drive to. I would not call the red section sites small, about like any other beach campground. The bathhouse was great and was air conditioned. Emerald Isle is a great little beach town, too. They offer recycle bins and dog waste bags, just no area just for dogs. Very clean park and super helpful staff. The best staff of any campground I've visited. Obviously well treated and compensated. Highly recommend Rucker John's for eating nearby.

Well, we've stayed at several other RV parks in the area. This one is the best, in our opinion, of the oceanfront campgrounds in Myrtle Beach. Great sites, pull through at the beach area, completely level and wide for a beach site. The bathhouses are nice and air conditioned. Great outdoor pool, lazy river, and indoor pool. Large enough to allow us to get in with a full park, too. Very few golf carts. Easiest to get to from points west, IMO. Storage is only $45 a month. The beach area is the best I've ever been to! We'll be back the next two weekends. We've never done that before. Power did drop when we turned a/c and water heater on, so we turned off the water heater. Very few doggie waste bags and trash cans.

The best sites at this park are in C-section on the outside edge adjacent to the lake. They are also the only ones almost level with space to place your chairs and other camping goodies. The bathhouses are OK, typical state/city stuff. The pool is small, but clean and probably sized for the campground. Most all of the other sites are really sloped up or down and I couldn't get my trailer level with my tongue jack all the way down. Locals seem to drop their campers on Thursday evening in C-sect to keep them for the weekend, so good luck. Very helpful employees, wonderfully wooded atmosphere and close to restaurants and stores. They have a nice little store with a decent amount of camping goodies. We would stay again if I could get into those C spots.

The new owners have made several improvements since last summer. The bathhouses have been renovated with all new everything. The putt putt course has been rebuilt, nothing special, but it is new. The pool appears to be in a state of repair and they are re-doing the jumping pillow. The FHU sites are nothing to write home about. Not very level as they're on a hillside and weren't graded and they're gravel and dirt. The sites by the creek are W/E only, but by far the nicest. Very grassy and roomy and in some shade. I believe they've replaced their electrical and pump station.

Wow! Talk about a super clean facility! Nestled on a small mountainside, the sites are great, the cabin we stayed in #4, was alongside a nice little mountain creek that you could hear at night. Bring a good heater as the cabins aren't insulated and are drafty! I thought I had already seen the cleanest bathroom facilities at Fancy Gap KOA, but these were even nicer! 7 washing machines and two dryers, small store, small video game area (outdoors). It's on a steep hill, but the sites appeared to be pretty good. If they had a pool, it would be a perfect escape from the hot summer. Love it here!

This is a great little gem of a CG. I would have given it a 10 if not for the small sites and bathrooms that need renovating. It's one of the only city campgrounds I know of and has some full hook up sites. We met some of the nicest campers ever here and will be back next year! You can not touch the $17 rate! They have a small camp store and the lake is quite large with canoes for rent (not cheap) and great fishing.

We first camped here about 3 years ago in a tent. The next year we had bought a 19 Visa trailer and now we're in a 28ft Kodiak. We love this CG and have made this an October tradition. Nicest bathroom/showers of just about any CG we've visited. The owners are very nice and accommodating. I checked in after hours and they left two bundles of wood for me as I called ahead the request. It's a fairly wooded CG, we love the first sets of spots just behind the office. Plenty of really cool places to go and shop or visit nearby. The Hungry Farmer is a great breakfast restaurant.
