This park has a lot to offer. And it could be great if management would actually enforce the rules they have posted everywhere. Rules when you make a reservation, rules on the web site, rules in the front office, rules on the map, rules on the schedule of activities. BUT - most people who camp here break the rules. Quiet hours. What's that? No golf carts during quiet hours? Lie. Map say 7 MPH, signs in the campground say 10 MPH - right! It's the Chicagoland Speedway for all the numerous golf carts! And the dust. WOW. We found the staff to be on and off. Sometimes very friendly and helpful. Othert imes, just acting like we were bothering them. There are a lot of seasonal trailers in the park, and they are very well maintained. My issue is that if I pay $65 a night for a campground, I expect to be wowed. And not nickeled-and-dimed for every event. The mini golf was $3. The course was debris-ridden and on some holes, in disrepair. The mini-golf was typically unmanned. The weekend we camped, there was a fireworks show and that was pretty good. It was longer than I expected and very nice. This park is LARGE. Be prepared to walk. Everywhere or spend $60 a day to rent a cart.

We've camped this campground a number of times over the past four years. This year, they have new management. We always said that this park needed a tiny bit of attention and it would be a great park. The new owners are busy making changes. Some of them good - like knocking down a dilapidated building. But some of them are not good, in my opinion. We were told we would have to wear wristbands throughout our entire stay. I don't know why - everything was included in the price - they have a "guarded" shack and as far as I know, the only people who were using the pool were the campers. The store was stocked with very overpriced items. Above and beyond convenience store prices. No bait, but shockingly, they have a can of corn for $2.50!! And the wood was a $1 a piece. A little spendy considering we were not allowed to bring our own wood. They had some scheduled activities - of which we only participated in the craft one in the morning. Otherwise, my kids were busy catching frogs in the pond. Or finding feathers from the Turkey Vultures who perch in the large pine trees. The two pools are typically well-maintained. Although, they were cold. My children only swam for 15 minutes. We will probably go back.
