The park is in a good location if you are visiting the Louisville, KY area. Plenty of shopping choices and restaurants nearby. The park is near I-65; therefore, a fair amount of highway noise. The sites are narrow but we didn't have anyone on either side of our unit. The restrooms could use some updating but were clean. All our utilities worked well. I believe the nightly rate is overpriced for what they offer.
If you plan to stay here, recommend you call for driving directions. They will provide different directions than a GPS. The road they suggest is tree lined and narrow but manageable if you take your time. Be careful of the speed bumps as you enter the park. The park is quiet and clean. All the utilities worked well. We did not use their Wi-Fi. Our price was based on a Good Sam's discount. We believe the park is over priced! We did not use their restrooms so no comment on them. Our rating would be higher if the price was less.
Very nice campground and great location for visiting the Shipshewana area. The park is clean and well kept. Plenty of room between sites. The roads and pads are gravel. All the utilities worked well. The free Wi-Fi signal was strong but very slow. Strong Verizon signal and 4G on our Hot Spot. The bath house was spotless. The laundry has 4 washer and 4 dryers; however, 1 dryer was out of order. The laundry was very clean, reasonable, and even had a large screen TV. We would stay here again on future travel to this area.
Our rate was based on a lake front site with a bridge view. The site length was adequate for our 38' fifth wheel RV but very narrow. The site was full hookups with 30 amp service. If we stayed here again we would opt for a site off the water and wider. All the utilities worked well. The campground is large but all the interior roads are well marked. Our Verizon phone and hot spot worked well. We had to relocate our Dish Tailgater satellite antenna several times when new campers arrived and blocked our signal. We would stay here again.
We do not give many RV Resorts/Campgrounds an Overall Rating of 10 but this one deserves it! Site 512 is a full concrete pad with full hookup 50 amp service. All the sites are level with plenty of green space between the sites. We had good Verizon phone and data service. Most of the sites in this resort are seasonal. They have a 9 hole golf course which was reasonable to play and is in excellent condition. We would definitely stay here again if we visit the area.
We stayed here while visiting the Sault Sainte Marie area. It's about 15 miles from Sault Sainte Marie with easy access and good roads. The campground is large, level, and good utilities. They offer free cable TV which we did not use. Also, the free Wi-Fi worked fairly well. Our Verizon phone and Hot Spot signals were weak and the Hot Spot was 3G only. The sites are large with some gravel. Our nightly rate reflects a Good Sam discount. If we visited the area in the future, we would consider staying here again.
We were not impressed with this campground. The interior roads are in bad shape, with lots of pot holes. The area had a significant amount of rain prior to our arrival and many of the sites were under water. Since there was very little, if any, gravel on the sites the sites very sloppy wet and muddy. The restrooms need to be updated and a good cleaning! After looking inside the restroom, there was no way we planned to use those facilities. We did not check out the showers. If we were to visit this area again I doubt we would stay here. But if we did, we would use the full hookup sites since they looked to be in much better condition compared to the site we stayed on. We had Verizon service but did not try our Verizon Hot Spot.
We enjoyed our stay here. It is located on Hwy 42 and provides easy access to all of Door County. We camped on a pull-through with our 38' camper. All the utilities worked well. The Wi-Fi was a little weak but worked okay. The bath house could use updating but was clean. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We would stay here again on a future visit.
The park is easy to get too from I-94. They close the gate at 6 PM so it's best to arrive before this time. The gate is not locked but your rig will hang out on the road while you open the it. The owners are very friendly and provided us lots of tourist information and directions. Our Verizon phones, hot spot and Dish Tailgater all worked well. The roads and pads are gravel and fairly level. The sites are adequate but not large. We complained about the low water pressure and maintenance came right away but said it was okay. We have never been in a campground with that low of water pressure. The restrooms were updated and clean. Plenty of shopping nearby with WalMart, Sams, Cabela's, and many dining choices. We believe it's a little overpriced but it is very close to MSP.
We were not impressed with this FamCamp campground. The area had received a significant amount of rain prior to our arrival and during our stay. We had to wade through water to get into our RV. Your camper sets on a concrete pad but it's only slightly wider than the camper so you have to walk through wet grass. They need to make the sites wider and add rock to the roads. There are a number of trains that pass near by but they didn't bother us. The highway 370 toll bride is narrow but it's not a problem. Not sure we would stay again on future travel.
We were very impressed with this COE campground. We had a large and level site with a lake view. We found the host to be friendly and helpful. We had good reception on our Verizon phones and hot spot. It's an eight or nine mile drive off of I-35 but worth the drive. We would stay here again on future travel.
This RV park is easy access from I-57. The owners take great pride in their park and work hard to keep it beautiful. Check out the garden! The pool is nice and the bathhouses are spotless. We didn't use the Wi-Fi. We experienced some problems with our RV and the owners went out of their way to help us. This was our third or forth time to stay in this park and will stay again during future travel. Plan to pay with cash or personal check.
The park is easy access from I-24 and great for an overnight stay. The park was very neat and the ladies restroom was extremely clean. We did not use the men's restroom. The swimming pool is large and clean. Yes, there is a little noise from the highway, but with the AC on we didn't notice it. The pull through sites are long, but not much room between RVs. Also, the price of $37 with Good Sam's Discount seems high compared to other RV parks.
The park is located a short distance from I-24 and is easy in and out. The sites are gravel, long, and level. We didn't use the pool, but it looked nice. The office personnel were friendly and willing to provide info about local sites to visit and places to eat. Our only complaint is they lock their restrooms at 8PM and don't reopen until 9AM. They told us they do this to keep unauthorized persons from using their facilities. It's sure not convenient for authorized campers. We believe a better approach would be to put code type locks on their restrooms and provide campers the code.
We have stayed in this RV park on several occasions and highly recommend it! It's easy to access from I-57. It's a beautiful park with lots of shade trees and level lots. The owner/manager take pride in providing a nice campground. The owners do not accept credit cards but gladly accept a personal check or cash.
The park is okay for an overnight stay but we wouldn't stay for a long period. Most of the sites have concrete pads but none of those were available when we arrived. We were allowed to stay on an overflow site which was gravel. Since they didn't have a concrete site they charged us $2 below the Good Sam rate. The park is located a short distance off of I-10 and easy to locate. There appears to be a number of long term campers in the park.
The park is located about 1 miles off of I-10 and easy to find and access. We were on a concrete pull through site with plenty of space between the sites. It appears there are a number of RVs there for long term stays. Aesthetically it's not an attractive park. I wouldn't want to stay there for a long period but it was okay for an overnight stop. A WalMart is located near the park.
Easy access from I-10. Very friendly staff. Our site was level with plenty of room. The restrooms were clean and well kept. There is a restaurant on site which serves breakfast and dinner. Our dinner was excellent and reasonable. We would recommend this park.
Great location with easy access to downtown utilizing the local bus system. Extremely friendly staff and well kept RV park. The sites are level and wide with plenty of room between RV. We would recommend this park.
