Park was quiet, clean and well maintained. Nice size lots. We did not have an issue with ants. We would have given it a 10 but check in took us over thirty minutes and we were the only clients in the office.
We arrived in our 2007 Roadtrek 210 Motorhome to meet friends already registered in the park. Upon arrival we went through a very intensive 50 minute registration process and were provided a site close to our friends. However, when the guide came out to show us to our spot we were shocked to be informed that they do not allow any motorhome less than 23' into the park. We were then told we could park on one of their slab concrete sites (parking lot with hookups),with no price reduction, but not on their regular sites. We were quite upset at this and asked for our money back. They did give us our money back. In retrospect - this would have ruined our time we had planned with our friends already registered at the park, and so we decided to take the parking lot spot. They then said no we could not stay at this park. We found the management of this park to be completely unacceptable. They would not come out and talk to us directly - (they were in a meeting and would not tell us how long the meeting would last). The rules seem to change on a minute to minute basis. I would like to have known of their discriminatory practices before we drove this far to meet our friends. We have traveled for three winters in our RV and have never been treated this way. I would not recommend this RV Park.
Staff friendly. Nice mix of transient and permanent residents. Sites are very small. We had to place picnic table tight against tires of trailer next door to pull into our spot. Allowed to use fitness facilities at Days Inn next door, but the sparse equipment was broken. Quality of internet during our stay was very slow and cable TV channels are very limited. Location good for sight-seeing in San Antonio. Rates reflect PPA.
Older park but well maintained. Friendly accommodating staff. We asked to change site as the one they assigned had no picnic table and was surrounded on three sides by access roads. All sites are average size and pull- through. Good Internet and Cable TV. Indoor pool is undergoing major repairs. Picnic tables are scarce. 30 minutes to Carlsbad Caverns and 10 minutes to downtown Carlsbad (Super Wal-Mart). Would stay here again. Rate reflects Passport America.
Nice clean large sites. Very friendly staff and residents: we felt very welcomed. Arrived at noon and within 10 minutes we where invited to ice cream sundae social. Larger pool and spa. Would have given 10 but no picnic tables. Close to shopping (Wal-Mart and Safeway). Free governed wireless internet (TenGoInternet) was quite adequate for email and web browsing, but too slow for streaming video and Skype.
Nice park, very clean, friendly staff and lots of activities. We planned on staying just one day - but will extend our stay and definitely return. We found the staff and residents very friendly. The lot size was fine for us, as the park was not crowded. At peak season we may find the park sites quite cramped as we felt the spaces to be on the small side.
Large lots, very friendly staff, quiet park, some organized activities and park kept very clean. Close to nice desert hiking trails. Rate reflects Passport America. No showers and washrooms. Would stay here again.
