Rate is TT member for 50 amp. Well kept park with paved and gravel roads easily navigated with our 40' motorhome with tow car attached. Level gravel sites. The pull-thrus were full so we used C-23 back-in. No problem with our roof top satellite, but suspect sat. reception in most of the rest of C section could be a problem. Verizon smartphone had 4G one bar but Jet-pack had 4G three bars. Avoid B-6 (pull-thru) if it rains hard the ditch overflows. Real nice park, look forward to a future visit.
Very friendly staff. This is one of the nicest Thousand Trails parks we stayed at. It was easy to navigate our 40' motor home with toad. The gravel sites are level with FHU & 50 amp on the north side. The park seems to be well maintained. The 5mph speed limit is a bit bothersome but understandable. On our last stay we had a tent occupying a 30 amp site when all the FHU sites were full but there were plenty of tent sites available. The park is right in town so there is easy access to the Seaside activities. The Club House, Indoor pool, Tennis & Pickle Ball courts were all top-notch. The park was nice enough that we altered our trip to back-track to Seaside to spend another two weeks.
We are long term members of this park and the rate is based on that. The only negative comment we can make is the fact that we need to pay $5/ night even though we pay our annual dues. This park was originally named Five Star and our favorite saying was "the only thing star was the name" Prior to Katrina we would rate this park a 2 after Katrina rate it a 0. Since the new owners came took over the improvements have been amazing; new gravel sites with concrete patios, utilities upgraded, gravel roads continuously maintained, pond restored, new plantings, and the entire property is meticulously maintained. Beside all this, the people here seem pleased that you're here. We have enjoyed this area for many years and now we have a real nice place to stay. We now go out of our way to stay here a few times a year. Sites 1 thru 40 are basically open with a few tall pine trees so no problem with sat. TV. Our Verizon phone is five bars and our Verizon MiFi is four bars & 4G. Sites to the rear of the property are easily negotiated with lots of woods. Some nice new sites were installed next to the bayou. Bayou and Wolf River fishing available.
Good for an overnight stop. Only a few hundred feet off of I-10 exit 174. The $20 is the Passport America rate and they only accept cash. Register at the BP gas station. The grass sites are narrow pull-thru, full hook-up with 50 amp. Verizon reception is very good and easy Satellite TV because you're in an open field. They have a dumpster but that's about it. The ground seemed very solid but I'm not so sure I would like to stay on a rainy day. We will use this as an overnight again.
