The restrooms are like new and super clean! There are 3 swimimg pools and hot tubs. The view over Chokoloskee Bay and the Everglades National Park is fantastic. Wow!!! What a fantastic park! The lots are individually owned, so the owners have all landscaped them nicely. There is a marina on the property for bait, tackle, ice, etc. Very quiet after 8pm which is very nice! GREAT PLACE!
Excellent park for our 40' motorhome. Very clean. Everyone was very friendly. All lots are individually owned, and landscaped very nice. Would stay again for sure!!!!!
We loved it! Husband and wife owners were very pleasant and always happy! We had a wooded site located in the back of the campground. The campground is located near the entrance of thousands of miles of the maintained ATV trail system. All ATV's were located in an upper lot so that the campers could not hear or see them and did not even know they were in ATV heaven. I would absolutely stay there again!
Our "deluxe ocean front site" that we booked in April for an August visit was poor. We overlooked a small finger of the bay and had a great up close view of the Trenton bridge that everyone must use to enter and exit Bar Harbor and all of Mt. Desert Island. Lots of highway traffic noise! Other sites were very close together in an open field without any trees. Some so close that awnings could not be opened up. On the bright side it was clean and lots of staff to answer questions.
A little scary at first, but we actually ended up loving the seclusion. We had one of the ocean front sites that was located 1 mile down a very narrow and rough dirt path/road. It was actually a wooded bay view with 20' tide changes so there was no water view at certain parts of the day, however BEAUTIFUL at high tide!!!! Although we did get our 26' travel trailer into the site, they would not be great sites for anything larger. Perfect for small trailers, and EXCELLENT for tents and pickup campers. Sites had new electric and water only. Very private site, could not see anyone else since the sites were spaced nicely and heavily wooded. The pull thru sites for big rigs were in an open field and close together, glad we had reserved a private ocean site in advance. GREAT SPOT IF YOU LIKE SECLUSION, NEED NO AMENITIES, AND WANT TO GET AWAY FROM IT ALL! About 10 minutes to Lubec and Campobello.
