We stayed here with a rally group and loved most of the park. Since it is brand new, there is neither wifi or cable but the satellites worked well and we had good cell service, so mifi was good. My big complaint is that they put curbs across from the sites, making a tight turn to get backed in with a long trailer. We all drove over the curb to get in but if it was muddy this might be a problem. Otherwise, we liked the park and will return.
We stayed at this park for the river view but didn't exactly get what we asked for. We were some distance off the river but could still see the big ships going by. As usual, no internet in the sites and an attitude from an employee when I asked about it. I don't think a park would care for me coming into the office in my underwear after my shower to be able to play on my computer. If you can get a better site than we did and don't need your computer its not a bad place to stay for a few days. We likely won't be back.
This is a good park for visiting the Dells. The staff is friendly and the sites are reasonably level. I am tired of parks that advertise wifi and when you arrive it won't work. You complain and are told that you must come into the office for the wifi to work. That's not what is advertised and I feel that we are paying for a service that is not available. We will look elsewhere next time we come to the area.
We stayed here for 2 weeks and I wish we had more time. The staff is friendly, sites relatively level, with the only complaint being that the sites are very close together. Outstanding Wi-Fi here and that's very important to me. Another small problem is the lack of access for a satellite antenna but they have good cable. Will definitely stay here again.
This is a nice park that could be improved with some work. The interior roads need work badly. There are potholes and bumps throughout the park and plenty of equipment to fix them. They advertise WiFi available, but it only works for a few minutes and cuts you off.
This place is still a dump! We have stayed here before while visiting family in the area but not again. Grass unmowed, grass burrs throughout the park, and utilities dangerous. The list goes on and on. Lots of potential here but nothing is being done to improve things. On the other hand, the sites have a beautiful view of the lake, which is full now. It's heartbreaking to see such a pretty setting not being used. We will not return here.
Not a bad park to stay at now. They changed park hosts and the park is cleaner. There were lots of construction workers in the park and it was difficult to get a site here but we were lucky and got one. They changed management while we were there and it will be interesting to see what happens now.
We stayed again at Ink Lake state park and had a great time. The park is beautiful and the staff very helpful. I wish they would add more 50 amp sites and sewer service for longer stays. The staff is friendly.
We stayed here because there were No Other RV sites in the Houston area. We don't normally stay in a KOA long term, but this was an exception. They advertise park-wide WiFi but it is not available and has been out since November last year with no real plans to restore. The lack of WiFi is not really the issue but the employees are! I was told that if I didn't like the lack of WiFi, I should move out. I had just arrived and paid for a month, with a no refund policy prominently displayed. We have been here several times before but will not return.
This park is still run-down looking. We have been coming here for years and it hasn't changed at all. Promises are made to grade the streets and to add more concrete pads but nothing has been done. Nice quiet little park and the staff is helpful but it's time that someone takes some pride in this park.
This is our second stay in Branson. This is a nice park with friendly staff but as others have pointed out, not America's Best! Sites are not level due to the Ozark hills but the leveling system took care of that. WiFi is good and the facilities are okay. There is an extra charge for the rally hall that I thought was high priced. I might recommend this place but been in better ones.
This park is adjacent to a casino, with several restaurants that we tried. The park is very nice with level concrete spaces, full hookups and good Wi-Fi service. Very easy in and out make it a great park to stay at when visiting Granite Falls.
The customer service of this park is beyond excellent. The park itself is nice but an older park that, based upon the design of the buildings, is probably an old KOA. Everything works and the owners are very friendly. When we arrived, I got no TV signal and reported that to the office. Later in the evening, the owner came by and allowed me to set my Dish antenna in one of the streets so I could get a signal. It is the off season here and they have little traffic. He soon brought some sawhorses to protect my antenna. If you are in the area, this is a great place to stay!
Very nice, family-run park. We were there for a rally and had a great stay. I would have given it a 10 rate, but the unreliable Wi-Fi made me mark it down. Highly recommend this park for visitors to the Wisconsin Dells.
We stayed here while traveling between destinations and to meet some friends here. The casino is off the beaten path and the RV park was obviously just an after thought after building the casino. There is little signage to direct us to the park and when we checked in, the lady at the hotel registration admitted that she knew nothing about the RV area. The lack of customer service is very apparent, with limited amenities and services. On the plus side, it is quiet and the lack of lights back here makes sky gazing very easy.
This is a pretty nice park that just needs a lot of sprucing up. They keep the grounds mowed, but be aware that they expect monthlies to mow their own yard. Not much grass, but a new experience of having to mow. Lots of leaning light poles that need a good coat of paint. Friendly staff, but they need better communication with guests. They had lots of activities for the 4th of July, but didn't tell us about them, so what good were they? WI-FI is non existent. When I asked about it in the office, they just shrugged their shoulders and said its the best they can do. Their provider supposedly came out, but never called them back with a recommendation. I guess they don't accept calls from the park.
We stayed here for an overnight. This is all this place is, an overnight stop. The park is rundown looking and in need of some grading and landscaping. The staff is friendly and it's an all right place to overnight.
This is a great park! We came here with a rally and I don't know that I've ever been in a nicer place. The sites are nicely spaced out but the concrete parking for the trailers could be a bit wider. Not a big deal. The grass was nice to walk in which negates my complaint. I did mark it down because of the non-existent WiFi but I understand that they just got the underground wiring done to improve the connectivity. By the time we return-and we will return- it should be much better.
We camped here a few months ago and were promised the same site when we returned. When we got here, the promised site was full, and we were told to pick another site. We did as told but were then told that we would have to move because the site we had chosen was reserved. No one seems to be on top of things in the park. There is trash pickup in the park, but twice while we've been here the trash was not picked up and left out overnight. Lucky no varmints tore into the trash sacks. The site we are in barely fits my truck and trailer but the park location is near family; I will be looking at other parks in the area when we return.
Nice quiet little park. The managers are very nice, and he stopped by daily to chat. He and a helper work every day to improve conditions in the park. Mostly long-term people here, but everyone takes care of their property, and it was a nice stay. We will return here. I rated it as an 8 because it was very muddy with dirt sites. Hopefully the grass will fill in with time.
This is a nice park for an overnight stay which is what we did. Nice level lot with a large enough site to give plenty of room. We didn't pay the extra dollar for cable, but used the sateltte dish. Recommend this park highly.
This place, while somewhat dificult to get to,is not a bad place for an overnight stay. The grounds are clean, but the sites are a bit close together. Water is trucked into this park, so no waste of water is allowed. The dog "park" is a good walk and is only a fenced-in mud pit if it rains.
This is a beautiful location for a park. There are many rules, some of which do not make any sense. We were told to not take our dogs on the grass, but others do and are ignored. You must put up a deposit to use the rally halls, but not able to use the kitchen, no place to wash dishes, no hot water, water fountain not working. Wifi doesn't work and employees get angry when asked why. Not a park that I will return to.
This is a very nice park for an overnight stop. The owners friendly dog came out to greet us and when walking up to the office, another park guest came out and greeted us. Very friendly place! The sites appear to be a back in, but they allow guests to drive across the grass behind the site, making it a pull through. Lush grass and nice landscaping on the park grounds. The only downside is no cable. Highly recommended for overnight stop.
We stayed here for an overnight stop. It is the only park in the area with anything other than electricity only, so its basically your only choice. The park is adequate with full hookups and a good Wi-Fi but the sites are very uneven making it dificult to level the trailer. There was a large dog running loose and getting underfoot as we tried to get set up.
This is not a bad park, but its certainly NOT a $50 a night park. It's easy to get into from the highway, has reasonably level sites and has good wifi and a good over night stop but would be a ripoff to pay $50 for.
We stayed here with a rally. It is a very nice park with full hookups. No cable is the reason for not giving a higher rating. Also, there were workmen nearby that were somewhat noisy and one was parked in our site making us wait to get parked. The same truck parked in the site next door which also held up another customer.
This park is okay. We got the last 50 amp site in the park and didn't get to choose the location. There are sites with water views that are prettier than our's. We had a woodsy site that made us feel like being in a state park with trees and foliage between the sites. No Wi-Fi or cable TV for our site. Long way to the only dumpster.
When we arrived, we immediately had a problem with the electricity. It tripped our surge protector three times and continued into the next day. We were unable to use our a/c overnight but it was pretty cool and not needed. They came out the next day after it tripped again and worked on the electrical box. They apparently fixed it because it didn't trip again. They also ran cable to our site which hadn't been available. This is the only reason they got as high a review as they got. The electrical problems still exist as our new neighbors cannot run their a/c either. Lots of sand and rough roads.
This is a pretty park in a nice setting. My problem with it is the way it's run. The young girls that work in the office are not well suited to their jobs and are much more intent on other things. We were made to drive into the park to select the site we wanted, but had to return to the office-towing our trailer-to tell them which site we were going to use. There was a lot of confusion over which sites were reserved and which were available. Since it was a holiday weekend, the girls apparently marked some sites as reserved when no one had tagged the site as taken. There are extra charges for everything in the park. The showers cost .25 for five minutes of water, there is no sewer hookups but a pump-out "service" is provided you want their use on the days they will provide it, and unsupervised children played catch with baseballs that bounced off other trailers. There were no work campers in our area and we never saw a park ranger or anyone in authority to supervise. I was very dissatisfied with the management of this park and cannot recommend it to anyone but a local. They obviously don't care for outsiders in their park. I will never return here.
There is no grass in the sites. There are very deep fire pits that someone could step in resulting in a broken leg. Nice view of the lake but a very loud family gathering there. It rained the night we were here making the place a mudhole.
This park isn't worth the money they are getting for it. It is built on the side of a hill, so all walking is either uphill or downhill. Very hard on old knees. There is no cable TV and dish reception is impossible due to the surrounding trees. The sites are difficult to get into due to the unevenness of the terrain. It has very poor water pressure but the weather was nice. The only redeeming thing of the park and the only reason I rated it where I did, was because of the great staff that would do anything for the guests. If it hadn't been for them, it would have been a 2.
This is a nice, large park that is very popular. The sites are easy to get into and all pull-thru. The only problem that I see is that you are parked on grass which can become slippery in wet weather. We stayed in two different sites and one was really muddy. We recommend this park to everyone coming to Elkhart.
We stayed here for a week visiting family in the area. We have stayed here before and liked the park but it has gone downhill since our last stay. The site was very narrow making it difficult to open our awning. There is a huge amount of junk around some of the long term sites and several junky FEMA trailers are there. I don't think we will stay here again.
As several have stated, bad signage on hwy. and bad interior roads. We pulled into a site and the power would not come on. The man in the office was not real helpful but said he would call an electrician. We moved to a different site. On the other hand, had a beautiful view of the full moon over the lake. Could be a very nice park with some maintenance and updates.
This is an old park with full hookups but no cable or Wi-Fi. The place is covered with a fine sand that gets into everything. The roads are in need of maintenance. The "lake" is a very small pool frequented by locals on the weekend and is nothing more than a cement lined pond that is spring fed. I do not know if I will return here.
We stayed here with a large rally group that filled the park. The park staff was pretty nice at check in but weren't much help after that. There was a problem with bees in some of our sites. This is an older park in need of some upgrades. They closed the pool for a week after two days of rain with no explanation.
This is our first stay in Colorado Springs. We were disappointed with the park from the get-go. The prices are outrageous for a gravel site. We had trouble with backing into the site with little help from the park attendant who didn't seem to know what he was doing. The Wi-Fi didn't work and when it did, it was very slow. Some of the park staff was pretty unfriendly and many of the other guests were as well. We will not likely stay here again.
Most of the back-in sites were being worked on and several of the pull through sites were also. The pool was still closed, wifi non-existent and no cable available. Without such amenities, this park is little more than an overnight stop spot.
This is a huge park with two large sections separated by a park model area. The area that we were parked in was rather run down, with gravel parking areas but with a concrete patio. Our patio had a large broken piece making it difficult to use. The residents and staff are very friendly and we will likely return.
We have stayed in this park many times and have commented that it needs care. Nothing has changed. The same potholes, water standing and no improvements to what could be a premier park in the area. Not a bad park, just needs some TLC and some money spent on it.
This is a rough little park. Very little maintenance has been done here. The sites are very difficult to get into and the pull through was impossible for my 36' trailer. I cannot recommend this park to anyone with a large rig. Beware the low branches.
This is a nice, very friendly park that makes a wonderful one night stopover. We had a problem with our refrigerator while here and the owner came by and gave me a phone number for a person to call for help.
We stayed at this park for a month. It is a beautiful park in a great location but could be improved upon. There is much mud and standing water in the back of the park. No phone service at all which is a serious safety issue! No cable service, and limited dish service due to the trees.
This is a miserable little campground. The place is a wreck with dog waste everywhere, and seems to cater more to long term stay rather than an RV park atmosphere. I got looks from some of the residents that seemed to say "why are you here in MY place?" No cable, very slow Wi-Fi. Not a good place and I WON'T be back!
We stayed here again while traveling through this end of Texas. We love this park for it's accessibility to the freeway. Very friendly staff and work campers. Only gave it an 8 rating because of no picnic tables or trash cans throughout the park.
This is a new park that is only partly open. The people working there were very nice and when the park is completed, it will be a great place to stay. I wish they had a rally hall for rallies and meetings.
We stayed here for a month while we worked on our house that we are selling. It is pretty quiet and the people here are friendly. We did have one problem with a loose pit bull that belongs to a resident, but I tied him up.
We stayed here for two days on our way back to Houston. The park could use a little TLC but there are signs up that construction is under way. The river is very impressive but the trash left on the bank is unsightly and should be removed. Free laundry service is very nice.
We stayed here with a large RV rally. We came in before the rally and stayed almost a week after it ended. The park staff is very nice but the grass could have been cut before we arrived. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone.
This is a typical KOA park, not fancy at all but nice. The staff were very nice and cooperative when we wanted to extend out stay for another night because we were tired. My big complaint is the price. We opted for the water/electricity only and still paid $44.00 per night! This is an outrageous price to pay for a non-full hookup site.
This is a mostly mobile home park. The staff is friendly but there are a lot of silly rules in place. Seems to have a large turnover in staff. The patrons are mostly older people and not very friendly. Advertises Wi-Fi available, but in fact is only available in rally/recreation hall.
I don't usually care for KOA's for a destination park, but have used them as a stopover several times. This park is the exception to my rule and I would not hesitate to stay here again. Although we were in what I considere an "overflow" type site that is not the best and was some distance from the rally group and the rally hall, overall the park was very nice. The park attendants were very helpful and were eager to assist.
This is a nice little park for someone that is just looking for a place to read, watch TV or surf the net. It is a cheap park but did lack in maintenance, like grass cutting. We were there for a week and never saw anyone outside the office.
The wifi did not work because someone outside the park was illegally using it. The manager turned the wifi off to keep unauthorized persons from using it. She punished paying guests for something that we have no control over. The cable did not work in the row that we were parked in. I was told that there have been problems with the cable for some time in this park. It is obvious that the owner lives off-site and does not check up on his employees.
Let me say that the park is beautiful and the owner has spent a lot of money on it. The area of town where the park is located leaves something to be desired, but it is close to the hospital district. My complaint is with the management. When I checked in, I was not told of any rules or regulations on parking. The back-in sites are rather short, so I backed in deeply with my rear stabilizer jacks on the grass. After I had gotten backed in (I was alone), leveled and was just about ready to go pick up my wife, the "manager" came by and told me I would have to pull up and get off the grass. I told him that I understood the rule, I just resented having it given to me after I had already set up. I later saw others parked on the grass and they were not made to move. I will NEVER go back to this park and cannot recommend it to anyone else. Stay Away!!
We camped there with a club and had a great time. The new owners have made a lot of changes and are constantly improving on the park. We couldn't ask for a more accommodating park and will certainly go back.
