This park offers the rustic camping experience we all want but we wish the trees were rig friendly. The park looks rundown, and is in need of some major landscaping to truly make it worth the price to stay. However, that said, I have never seen cleaner bathroom facilities and they did allow campfires which we missed while camping in Spokane. This park is a gold mine, it just needs someone who cares to run it.
This is a KM membership park and we have been members for 3 years. We are sorry we bought but must admit it is convenient for shopping. The park is going downhill, contrary to what the owners say. Its got great potential, but it just needs someone to run it who follows up on repairs etc.
Unfortunately this park is losing its appeal. There are several full timers that do not take care of their units which ruin the ambience. Recently the wonderful caretaker manager passed away. The new managers are unable to keep up the park. They are also very rude and trying to reserve is almost impossible. Its a real shame because this park was a gem.
The owners of this private campground keep it clean and well run. If they trimmed their trees more, they could accommodate larger rigs because these sites are huge. We were in a 32' Cardinal with 2 slides and our unit is tall. It was a bit dicey trying to maneuver the tree branches. We were with family who were tenting and the one washroom facility near us was either running out of toilet paper or the toilet was plugged. Suggest they monitor that washroom more and perhaps build another one. A close walk to the river or several scenic trails.
This is a lovely park with huge sites and a variety of settings from open to wooded. Everything is clean. You can book online and choose your site then, which is very accurate. You can have campfires as well. It is centrally located and close to the cute town of Sisters. It has full hookups. Some areas are difficult to get cell phone coverage though.
This park is part of KM Resorts. It is a membership park but non members can stay there. They claim it is 5* which is a joke. You cannot get cell phone reception except in certain areas, the sites are not kept up so they are full of weeds or haven't been mowed and the railway ties they use for dividing are rotting. Often they run out of doggy bags as well. There is a pool for adults and a separate one for children. The park has the potential but somehow the owners entrust the management to persons who either don't care or are inexperienced. They claim they have security but anyone can walk through the store from the State Park road and enter the park, yet you can't exit with your dog through the store so you have to buy a $25 card to let you out through the gate! Buyer beware and please don't waste your money on this place.
