Beautiful setting along the river. You can see barges go by. Limited restroom facilities. Nice level sites, some a little tight. Located in a city park with a marina and lots of places to hike, fish, and bike ride. Near local museums and other attractions. I'd go back!
This place has potential, but just too many things not right. Big campsites, but the no-see-ems, made it almost impossible to be outside. Beautiful pool, but unheated. Lovely hot tub, but not heated and no bubbles. Internet available, but not strong enough to reach camper and no place to sit and use it where it did work. Limited cell-phone and TV reception. One John and shower (per sex) for whole campground with a small 110 hot water tank for both. (very slow recovery).
Good place to spend the night while traveling or as a base for site-seeing in the area. Good phone reception on Sprint and AT&T, park Wi-Fi has a great signal, all three TV networks available by antenna. Basic park, fishing allowed in pond, restrooms clean, but only plastic curtains on john stalls. Staff great and I'd stop here again.
We had a nice, deep, shady site between two permanent residents. Roads are narrow, making backing difficult. We were given choice of three sites, but other two were full of residents' vehicles. Pool was warm and clean, restrooms and showers were very clean. Staff and residents were friendly. Name has been changed to Kissimmee South Carefree Resort.
The other reviews pretty much tell it all. Chickens are still here, along with old, old trailers with permanent residents. Many have plywood additions built on. Ladies room was clean and locked. Men's not so good. Our site very unlevel with several potholes, making it dangerous to walk to the car. Campground is close to Historic district and shopping and the price is right at $12.00 with Passport America. Might stay here again. Staff nice. Good place if you just need a place to sleep.
